      @@vogtrina I second this! I am not a super tall girl, but a lot of the time clothes will be too short or wide for me. Learning how to sew and tailor clothing to fit me has been a life saver, I can basically wear anything I want now even if it doesn't fit me in store. A few small adjustments later and it's perfect :D Great skill to learn, and the best part is, it's easy to learn the basics and grow from there. Practicing on old damaged clothes or cheap stuff from the thrift store is how I learned, no teaching required really, just a steady, skillful hand or a sewing machine.

    Always interesting to watch how other tailors do things. However, did this tailor use the same shears for paper and cloth (going by the small mark on one of the blades)?
    That is a huge NoNo in my book. Paper blunts the blades and you need to have them sharpened more often!
    Other than that, great video.

    • @gentlekorean6895
      @gentlekorean6895  Před 3 lety +82

      Yes. You are Right.
      He has 2 Shears. But He used more sharpened shear of He has for Great Sound and Showing you on Video.
      In korea, We use very light and thin paper for pattern in common,
      Also Very Cheap fee of sharpen Knife and shear.
      Thank you for comments!

      Where does a man get a suit made and how much does it normally run?

    • @thatguykalem
      @thatguykalem Před 2 lety +7

      @@gravygraves5112 To this specification, which seems bespoke (i.e. made to order by the tailor completely by hand), thousands of dollars. You need to go to a master tailor for this kind of thing but at a lower price, made-to-measure (MTM) works fine.

    • @thatguykalem
      @thatguykalem Před 2 lety +6

      @@gravygraves5112 I should say too, bespoke means the pattern (the cut of the suit) is fully customisable and tailored completely to your body. MTM uses stock patterns that can be altered but not fully customised or tailored to your exact specification.
