HELL YEAH! One of the most underrated R&B Vocalists ever. Some people are SINGERS but singers of the highest order are VOCALISTS! MICHELE' IS A VOCALIST! With a voice like hers she can sing any GENRE of music! Also, musically speaking. I think this is DR. DRE'S best work as a producer! Great Video! Great Reaction.

Love her she was the first singer signed to Ruthless Records where the group N.W.A ( Eazy-E, Dr.Dre, DJ Yella, and MC Ren) was also signed to with many others.
Her speaking voice is squeaky due to her talking over her larynx. But when she sings its a entire different voice. Check out Nicety, No More Lies, and Keep Watching other great songs by her.
Last, she has a movie about her life story/how she overcame domestic violence in her relationship with Dre and Suge called " Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel'le , it first aired on Lifetime back in 2016 check this out as well.

One interesting thing about Michel'le is that her talking voice is starkly different from her singing voice. No lie, she sounds like a 9 year hold girl when she talks, but (as you heard) when she sings, it is mature and sophisticated. I'm not sure what this scenario is called, but it is common. Singer Al. B. Sure, when he sung he had a high, almost falsetto voice, but when he talked his voice was as deep as Barry White's. Very interesting. I remember, back when both Al B. Sure, and Michel'le first dropped their debut songs (which were both hits), and we all heard them on their first official interviews, it was such a shock to hear how very different their talking voices were.
I love Michel'e's voice! She sounds like mini-mouse when she talks but her singing voice is soulful and sultry! What a contrast!! 💖💖

You should definitely listen to her song 'Nicety' or 'No More Lies'. Both are more dance songs but still shows off her vocal range and she talks in both as well so you can hear her regular talking voice, such a contrast. Also, added bonus, Dr. Dre is on both of the tracks.

Back when I was in music school I worked part-time at a friends rehearsal studio. Michel'e used to rehearse there and she sounded so good and a real sweet woman. Every now and then Dr Dre showed up to Michel'le's rehearsal. Workin there was great experience while I was in music school.
summer 1990. this was a major hit. i was 7 years old then but i understood that this song was something special. takes me back there every time.

She used to date Dr Dre and while that relationship was not a good one, Dr Dre was in his bag when he produced this album for her. It's always surprising to people that he could make such a soft, sensual song.
This is one of the BEST R&B performances of the 90's!! Her other hit is very different, a dance floor jam, "No More Lies". She was both discovered and held back by Dr. Dre, when there relationship went bad, he blocked her career after this album.

I worked as a PA on a bio pic about her. Met her on set, she was very sweet and an under rated voice in RnB.

Man, your faces during the first lead in to the chorus is why I watch reaction videos. Things like that is why older folks are always making comparisons to the new generations because I don’t think that music that does something to you physically just doesn’t exist anymore.
