What a beautiful vocal to a lovely piece of music. Oh how much I wish this music had never faded away. Modern music is mostly garbage with self-indulgent and explicit lyrics played by individuals who actually can't actually play well. This is delightful and kudos to the singer and the band for giving hope to lovers of truly great music.
Great interpretation. It sounds just like in the movie. Congratulations to the musicians
I FIRST HEARD THIS SONG WHEN I WAS A KID WATCHING THE MOVIE THE MEMPHIS BELLE..THHEY WERE HEADING INTO GERMANY ON A BOMB RUN AND THE RADIO OPERATOR PICKED I UP ON AFN....FELL IN LOVE WITH THE SONG IN AN INSTANT...WHEN I GOT OLDER I TOOK A RIDE ON A B17...HAD HEADPHONES WITH ME AND PLAYED THIS SONG..IT WAS AWESOME
Love to see young people as well as older enjoy and keep this wonderful music alive
My mom came of age in WWII and worked at Boeing Aircraft in WWII. Now our days are so precious. I am spending every moment rereading the most amazing love letters from the WWII men who loved her and who were part of the Greatest Generation. And we listen to music like this all day as heaven beckons. Through memories and tears and beautiful voices and music like this God will carry her safely home.
Nicely done! For a few minutes I thought it was 1941 all over again.
If not for "The Shape of Water", I wouldn't be here!.....so glad I found this.
Too right me neither. Heard this watching the movie trailer.
Also heard it on that movie and found it on the Soundtrack listing
Beautiful song, nicely performed. I like seeing all of these youngsters playing these tunes.
Your voice is perfect for this song! Very authentic. Peace and love 💜
Absolutely stunning rendition of this song by the orchestra and vocalist!
I know this song from the Glenn Miller movie "Sun Valley Serenade," one of only two the band made before Glenn tragically disappeared. I liked it instantly. Thank you for keeping it alive so nicely!
Written by Harry Warren & Mack Gordon.
Nostalg and beautyful song .
Sun Valley Serenade movie, 1940, that is immortal classics:)
Any of Sunny Gale's music is better.
Great singer, wonderful band and people out having fun. A pleasure to watch.
Why do robins sing in December
Long before the Springtime is due?
And even though it's snowing, violets are growing
I know why and so do you
Why do breezes sigh every evening whispering your name as they do?
And why have I the feeling stars are on my ceiling?
I know why and so do you
When you smile at me I hear gypsy violins
When you dance with me, I'm in heaven when the music begins
I can see the sun when it's raining, hiding every cloud from my view
And why do I see rainbows when you're in my arms?
I know why and so do you
I can see the sun when it's raining, hiding every cloud from my view
And why do I see rainbows when you're in my arms?
I know why and so do you
I know why and so do you
-Mack Gordon and Harry Warren
A beautiful rendition of this classic song from Sun valley Serenade in 1941!! - You have really done this great song full justice - well done!! Keep up the great work
Thank you so much!
siobhan magnus is very stunning and beautiful.. her voice is so perfect for the song
I didn't realize this was "I Know Why", I heard them say it was I Know Why by Glenn Miller and I didn't recognize the name until they started the first few notes. I LOVE Glenn Miller but Sunny Gale's "What do you want to make those eyes at me for" is my favorite song at the moment lol
As the daughter of man from Massachusetts, I say you've done us proud! Love that old standard!
Wow, great job! The singer, the clarinet, the trombone soloist, everyone together. Awesome.
Im in heaven with the music begings ....
Glen Miller Moonlight Serenade : (

Love you Siobhan! You can sing anything and make it sound beautiful!
Derrik Grella She does a lovely voice, doesn't she?☺️
Sorry, left out the"have" part in my comment! Oh well, you get what I mean!!😉
@@michelleduquette800 I forgive you. (Smiling)
Written by Harry Warren & Mack Gordon.
She sounds so lovely. Looking forward to seeing duets with John Stevens
What a beautiful voice
Beautifully sung and played. A lovely performance, thanks for the upload!
John Stevens was my favorite Idol during his season, and Siobhan was my favorite during her season. From a Bostoner, you guys are great! Keep posting performances on here!
I think that it's "Bostonian". FTFY
Well done, true to the original
Love her voice.
Wonderful melody I play it on guitar glenn Miller again
Super!!!
Beautiful ,For some reason my heart melts every time I hear this song ...tgere must be something wrong with me... Manhattan transfer also did an excellent version of this song...
Anyone whose heart _doesn't_ melt needs to see a cardiologist.
Good Job
진짜 잘 부르네요! 아름다워요~~~
Beyond Prety
Young people, this song was written by Harry Warren and words by Mack Gordon not Glenn Miller.
They aren't aware that at one time, most orchestras performed other composers' works.
@@Poisson4147 absolutely
I love big band music, especially from this band! How can I get a CD?!
Amazon or CDBaby!

Good band.
That's putting it mildly!
In just 3½ years Glenn Miller had more #1 hits than Elvis and the Beatles combined. There were estimates that in 1941 he had a quarter to a third of all pop/swing record sales.
Gone FAR too soon. RIP Major Miller.
Think of Harry Warren when you listen to this as he wrote it not Glen Miller.
Correct - and lyrics by Mack Gordon. Glenn Miller performed it. Not sure who the arranger was.
@@BeantownSwing Mr. Warren & Mr. Gordon would be pleased.
Anyone who advise me of her name plz
It's in the title.
all I heard was gypsy violins 🤷♂❤
Somehow the snot ring doesn't quite reflect the romance and beauty of this great song.
thanks a lot to fallout.
Lovely though pity some dancers struggle with the steps.
Not at all a bad rendition of this song.

Для этого произведения....соло девушки слабовато..это мое мнение....не принимайте к сведению !
She never took singing lessons. She needs them.
