NOW it's mostly all talk about a new project and what he plans on doing so some junker.... then it's interrupted by some foolish car trek stupidity.... then he buys another project... it' s a revolving cycle over and over and over...

Your S65 has a feature called Splitview, that's what the remote control was for. Your front passenger is able to watch a DVD movie while the car is in motion without distracting the driver. It also allows movies to be played between the rear occupants.

LegitStreetCars is currently tearing down the same "great" engine, at a dealer cost of $10,000, to replace a $1 o ring that will grenade the whole engine. He's probably throwing in another $5000 in parts and labor of "while you're in there" work too.

That's the issue with these "bargain" used luxury cars, it's being sold for that "little" for a reason and, if you're not in its intended market financially-wise, you probably can't afford to maintain and repair it. LegitStreetCars is supposedly an ex-Merc engineer, he's probably kicking himself over that, too
@@kilp2635 I think Hoovie paid 12-14k then dumped a few grand into it then Alex got for a few thousand less than Hoovie had in it total.
@@acoffeewithsatan when it comes down to it, it truly is a great engine and is very reliable. Yes said O-ring caused an issue, but that's not common for that motor. Compared to anything from BMW of the same vintage, they're dead reliable. I've owned multiple mid-00's Mercs and the drivetrains are always the best and most reliable part. Why the hate for LegitStreetCars? "Supposedly ex-Merc engineer", no, he was a Merc technician for nearly a decade. "Kicking himself over that too", no, he said he loved it in multiple videos.

He knew what needed to be done too, but its Freddy's channel so he does the talking too.
He's had the car and hes owned very similar models, so he can make educated guesses based om that. There are common things that fail or get missed on certain models. But the mechanic seems very sharp and being respectful.

One of my absolute favorite cars. I had a 2014 S550 for a few years in 16,17,18. So comfortable it just does everything well. The AMG 65 was a bit out the budget at the time. Lmao
