Fellow Chicagoan here - I usually love thrifting, but I've also found that Village Discount Outlet is so overstimulating and stressful to me! But you definitely won with the two items you did pick up.

Loved the video 😊 not sure if you’ve heard of Alison Bornstein and her method of picking 3 style words, but I’d love to see a video of you figuring out your 3 words and then styling outfits you think show them! My personal words are classic, edgy, and relaxed (I wear a lot of blazer and chunky loafers/boots haha)
