Spanish speaker here, I think as you mentioned, bringing in your English speaking audience to the Spanish channel is doing really bad for your watch time, even with this video, a lot of people will go over and do the exact thing you mentioned, watch the first 5-10 seconds of a video and click off. It might be worth a short to simply start another Spanish channel and never mentioning it to your core English speaking audience. The videos are already done so you don't really lose anything in trying, and who knows, maybe the algorithm serves it exclusively to Spanish speakers and the channel takes off!

the ad campaign makes sense but only to do it once, kinda just a kick starter cause once people have viewed your videos there's a high chance they will see a couple more pop up at some point in their recommendations, and then hopefully they will tell their friends about your channel.
Damn seeing those down numbers look like mine I use to like going to my CZcams studio to see how I was getting so many views because of my shorts I didn’t even know that shorts doesn’t give you any watch time that was very painful now my numbers are underground man might take a break and come back stronger in the future

I work for Samsung in advertising would love to reach out and give you some tips send and tricks plus how you can project your next KPIs. One tip I can give is, CZcams requires at least 2 weeks to finish its learning curve meaning your ad for first two weeks won’t be efficiently running once the algorithm determines the best performing audience it’ll start doing better and spend you media dollars more efficiently.
So would that mean if he had a low budget at first then increased it later after the two weeks it would perform better?

Hi jack , as a latin American Content creator, I can tell you an small secret, never use Brazilian flag on thumbnails or ads.
Long Explanation: many companies put all latin America in the basket when they run ad campaigns, so psychologically talking, people in Spanish completely ignore anything that is related with Brazil, as they think if they click it will be something in Portuguese that they will not understand.
Also many people is not happy with Brazil since J.K Rolling decided to put the Latin American Wizarding school on that country, ignoring all the other 20+ countries in the region that speak Spanish 🥲 this is not related but.... I needed to tell you

Spanish & English Comedy don't match and may be harder to undersabd for different audiances, I Recoment changing some of the words for different words and NOT just the official Translation! Keep up the good work!

It seems like the biggest value comes in subscribers then, if they're more likely to keep watching new videos. You gain them with one campaign, and then their value continues with new videos meaning they actually make you more money in the long run. In that way, this could still be worthwhile.

You should have a specific video specifically made for the Spanish Channel that basically just advertises your channel and maybe shows a compilation of everything you've done, and then you just encourage them to subscribe at the end.

Idea: Maybe next time when you’re using ads you could use a short video (such as a trailer of some sort) instead of full length videos. If you use a trailer, the people would watch it and find out the stuff you’re doing, then click into your channel and watch a video. I’m also pretty sure it costs cheaper to use a short video as opposed to a long video for an ad.

Im surprized its so expensive when the product being advertised is youtubes aswell. Im pretty sure the earning split on view money gives more to youtube than it does to you. So you essentiall paid them to advertise a product that they earn more from than you did yourself.
