Catching Fish on EVERY Cast Using LIVE Shrimp Under a Popping Cork

  • In this video, I went inshore fishing near Tampa Bay, Florida with live shrimp under a popping cork. This technique is very easy and great for anyone whether you're a beginner at saltwater fishing or you've been fishing your whole life. A cold front had pushed through the area a couple days prior to me fishing which dropped the water temperature significantly. This drop in water temps really had the speckled trout fired up!

I love the honesty, every time you watch a video it’s always these most epic clips, i like the candidness about how fishing is hard and requires planning and work. No one wants to watch a 15 minute video of not catching fish, don’t get me wrong, but I at least like to hear about how these awesome anglers are humans, too. Glad the bite turned around!

You should also tell your viewers this technique works great also when you use plastic grubs/curley tails flukes or any 3-4” plastic baits. You dont even need live bait…..its just as easy and effective using plastics!😎 In SW Fla I advise using anything chartruese….its deadly🐟🐠🐡

The cold front really killed off inshore fishing, I went fishing 2 days ago. I started at Anclote down and worked my way down to pine island. Only caught a single mangrove at Aripeka. Seen a few snooks there but had no luck. Definitely want to give that technique a try tho, great video man

Been absolutely hammering specs and sheepshead lately. On every method. Ive also been using a English coarse fishing method using a small float and a shrimp. SIMILAR to popping cork without a pop and fishes a fixed depth. Why didnt you get another Avid after busting yours? Just wondered. I love them. Got 2 strengths. Strong as hell.

Man I wish salt strong would shut up. They genuinely got me stressed about what kind of leader or hook or length of leader or even shape of cork, so watching a video like this is nice, because it’s not so gatekeepy. Just shows you how to catch fish. You get a sub dude

Their warranties are awesome and so far quality has been great. Also they are both locals with FFP headquarters in Tampa and bull in Lakeland. Instead of using live shrimp, use the popping cork with a soft paddle tail? Just because majority of your shrimp were dead.
