Something is wrong with audio, for example around 13:38-13:42
The weird audio happens again at around 14:06 and 14:13. Almost sounds like the audio is switching to a different mic placed too far away and its picking up crazy reverb.
Hogger is the toughest boss in WoW
Birds fly, grass grows, and brother, Bobby Kotick hurts people.
If you were from where Bobby Kotick was from, you'd be fucking broke
@@stackpolian Oh yeah IMO anyone thinking that man wasn't extremely good at setting up the company after he bought it out is a bit clueless yet holy shit he's been accused of far to much wild stuff for all of it to be total shit... he did make that company ungodly profitable though fml damn cutthroat guy and was and did step on and or over anything in his way.
@@robpom5501 And even some investors were saying he was making too much money for himself. You know there's a problem when even the investors have a problem with how much money a CEO is making.

You don’t say?
How could anyone see it coming!!!😮😮😮

Though, it's always important for these things to be verified. We know, but a lot of people would automatically doubt or demand direct proof. And there it is
Worked there for a decade. Can confirm. He is a blatant financial and sexual criminal and the merger should have never been approved.

I've never seen such an old unsurprising "uh... yeah." video title. 😂
Does anyone else remember when Blizzard assured gamers that the blizzard activation merger would change nothing? Anyone?
Remember it quite well. Didn't believe a word of it back then either. Only thing that was surprising was the speed in which they managed to run blizzard and it's IP's into the ground.
dont be fooled. it wasnt just bobby, the entire board was crap. dont support wow any longer
I don't remember it at all because blizzard and activision didn't merge, activision and vivendi did. Blizzard was owned by vivendi and had 0 choice on whether they merged or not. The merged company then changed the name to Activision-Blizzard instead of Activsion-Vivendi due to blizzard being a more reputable name and people to this day still think blizzard decided themselves to kill their company.
They actually said that XD
@@CJGordon987 Yeah blizzard has pretty much never been independent or privately owned. but they where left to do what they wanted in the vivendi days and earlier.
it's honestly depressing how much one person can set an industry back. Kotick probably did more to damage the games industry than any other person in history. No, he did more damage to art as a whole, because games are art. Screw that guy.
One thing about the internet is that it allows people with no insight to make the most outlandish comments. I have worked in the gaming industry for 18 years including in activision blizzard.. During those I have interact with CEOS that would make Kotick look like a church choir member. Kotick probably didnt even knew what he was going to have for dinner and Riccitiello then EA Ceo in 2007 was already spitting stuff about Micro transaction, full life services games and what. and that time EA was the undisputed number 1 in the west. 5 years of Riccitiello consulate at EA did more warm than Bobby's could ever do in his full career. In fact Riccitiello was so "great" that he had to resign.
But moneyyyy
Rest assured Bobby ends in a jail cell with a camera mysteriously switched off and a terrible accident....
Games aren't art, they're a craft.

Whenever I hear of Netease in connection to actual game development/design/philosophy I get a sense of dread.
If anything, this was the one time Bobby actually did something good for Blizzard fans by pushing those predators away.
Lots of sound issues recently in videos, such as repeated takes not being edited out properly. Couple of mic issues in this video too, popping in/out. Great industry coverage as always, keep it up.
Yup, said this in the last video, whatever production issues going on I hope they get it fixed, a little bit unprofessional

Could also have been Mike Yebara that caused it, he's only just gone and suddenly there's a Netease deal too. Not that I'm defending Bobby but he's not the only Activision-Blizzard-King higher up that's left since the merger.
Bobby's interference with Diablo 2 was probably responsible for the cancelation of promised PvE content.
Netease is not a win for any of us.
@@zacharynyberg7007 NetEase is irrelevant to us? Did you watch the video at all or know the situation prior? NetEase is only responsible for shipping the Chinese version of the game.
@@zacharynyberg7007 I see it as neutral. If it is an illustration of the fact that Bobby's interference over the years was responsible for a lot of problems, and his absence may result in less ham-handed bungling, I see that as useful information.
Did he have leaked voicemails seriously threatening to have an assistant murdered, too?
Great video, but there were a few audio glitches during the voiceover.
Just pointing it out [14:14] so it can be fixed for future videos.
We all know Bobby Kotick was the biggest problem all time. He was the one wich cutting golden gooses neck for fast money.
Unfortunately he got away filthy rich by killing golden geese unlike the actual tale :\

Random freeze frames are always funny.
Your sound bugged out around the 13-15 minute mark a few times.
Bobby is a nice scapegoat and all, but I really haven't seen anything improve since the MS buy out. Not saying Bobby wasn't a problem, but I think the problems run deeper than one guy.
Well his entire management team needs to be cleaned.
Not trying to defend any fucking company here, but, Lets be fair: Fixing an entire company doesnt work with "Fire that Guy", even if it was the Core of the problem.
The problems dont go away when you take out the origin of those problems, most of the time, takes Time depending on the amount and type of the problems, after you remove the origin of said problems.
The buyout just finalized only a few months ago. Change takes time.
Too late to fix anything. Blizzard has been dead for 15+ years
@@Gamergrrl99 Right? Like...they've only owned the company for months.
Short of firing everyone at the company and starting over right away, there's no way there would be massive changes that fast.
I think you saw the basics of that mobile Warcraft MMO when you played plunderstorm with your 4 buttons and no classes.
is it just me, or did they repeat themselves after the ad read? ~2min30 and ~3min30. editing error, or script error, or reading error?
why are you talking in plural? there is only one guy sitting there.
And literally nobody was shocked even in the slightest.
I'm kinda glad that another mobile game didn't go through, I don't actually want blizzard to produce another predatory game tbfh
Technically, its already out there, but not developed by them. It's called "Tarisland".
Does this mean that Blizzard is now being able to be turned around into a profitable and actually good company again
Doesn't have to be a good company to be profitable, there's a reason Diablo Immortal is the only game that remained on the chinese market.
Profitable yes. Good is up for debate.
Take a look at Activision Blizzard stock over the last 10 years. It's always been profitable - they know how to milk whales. Will this lead to better games? Probably not.
No, the talent is long gone.
i mean, we got plunderstorm, and pandaria remix two things i did not think we would have gotten since they a bit out there so atleast now they are trying new stuff (i assume to see what sticks to chuck at the next xpac before they start on it)
As much as I hate Bobby, I don’t trust anything any Chinese business says literally at all.

Hey um did you get a new editor? I keeo being jump scared by random video errors.
Who could've guessed it was Bobby's fault
Bobby Kotick, who once complained that he was having trouble when dating because all of his dates would see images of him as a devil.
i sort of wonder if it could work if each expansion was self-contained- eg its own graphics, its own currency, its own class balance, even its own graphics all you really keep between expansion is pretty much your character and guild if you want.
anyone else notice the audio was a bit wonky? On and off it got echoey and static noise
+1000 social credit score for Microsoft
I doubt they kept the server info, even after Wow goes back to China I wouldn't be surprised if everyone had to start over from scratch.
They kept everything.
@@blakeli9118 nice, that would suck to come back to the game and none of your stuff was there.
They even allowed players to download their data, through IIRC Bellular reported it didn't work for everyone in time.
rebuilding the statue is just stupid. They threw a childish tantrum and shouldn't get the statue back. So dumb.
It would have been taken down anyway once the deal blew up.
Tantrums are irrelevant and you can be sure the clickbait media we still somehow call news has blown it up with sensationalist headlines...
You have small issue on this video, periodically your mice has some sort of power surge and captures all kind of noise, like room echo or such.
Could be editing issue. Just letting you know if you missed it.
I'm Shocked, SHOCKED, well not that shocked.
Hey Bellular,
Here are some synonyms for "humongous": colossal, immense, gargantuan, massive, titanic, mammoth, enormous, huge
Glad I could help.
Thinking about it. I'm more then convinced the reason the Warcraft cinimatic universe didn't happen, even with it being a success in China, was Kotick looking at the sales in the US and deeming it dead. Instead of planting the seed and watching the big screen universe grow.
I'm shocked, SHOCKED I say!
Just going to say this in case literally nobody bothered to mention it: But there are some audio mic problems in this video, especially in the MMO segment, around the 2/5ths part
I haven't finished the video yet, but keep in mind that Blizzard made that EULA change after Bobby left. Clearly, there are still plenty of scummy people in their leadership.
In the words of Hank Hill, "Dangit, Bobby!"
Might wanna check your sound setup, because that sound glitch at around 13:40 and 14:10 doesn't sound great...
Starting at 13:20 Having some technical difficulties, chief. May be time for a new mic.
8:01 Knives Out, Rules of Surival _and_ Naraka Bladepoint, How many BRs does NetEase even have?
I've been doing season 4 PTR and it is absolutely PACKED with Chinese players. Majority of groups in fact.
Man, did no one edit this video? where is the quality control for this? Usually you provide much better work on this kind of stuff. Great content as always, but the mic issues are really detracting
LOL Bell's mic kept disconnecting?! Wtf was that?
How fortunate the next big thing is this Mists of Pandaria re-release thingy.
We need a "humongous" word count in every Bellular video
I think there was a saying, that went something like : From its head stinks the fish. And sure many "fish" is stinking from the head. :D
I'd be concerned about going back to China rather than interested, new mmo or not.
Absolutely Bowing down to one of the worst dictatorships in the world for money is awful. and its riskier than ever also.
Really?!?!?! I'm blown away!
This reminds me why I began a boycott of Blizzard after events in Hong Kong.
Much wow, such surprise..
it seems something off at google ads sense. since nearly every 2 nd advertisment video is for google chrome seems lack of bought ads or ads sense not able to properly link ads. and so it makes sense when ads on videos will not bring much ads money, when the system for google ads sense seems not fully working.
CZcams is a separate company from a financial perspective, so Google Chrome has to buy ads on the site just like everyone else.
seems somewhat fixed but might be some content that is less adverrtiseable to have more google chrome ads.
I've never seen a Chrome ad. Opera on the other hand ...
does anyone notices the voice overs from time to time as well
I loved naraka but they don't have SA servers so the ping was massive for me to play with americans, couldn't parry anything and had to guess. Would love to come back, best slam dunk that netease did.
The mic is acting up. Pls fix. Otherwise great work 👍
Who could have thought....
"I'm surprised!" ~Noone ever 😅
when they get the decepticons out of the dev and writing rooms then maybe i will believe wow will get better
What a surprise!
Is there a script or editing error? At the beginning you mention the deal, the expiration, how chins saved the flop of the Warcraft movie. Then quite literally said those exact same things in the exact same order with just very slightly different word choice and cadence lol
So have I missed my chance to play Wow Classic Wrath?
Maybe Bobby will join Disney and he can "help" them out.
I don't know man, Qwik also got kicked out at the same time, is it really Bobby?
You say "Net Ease," I hear "Neddy's!" My head canon is now that Neddy's is a multicultural Internet Cafe turned pub where no games are banned, and there are posters of Jeff Kaplan and everyone [warp slicer] on the website.
every time i hear people talk about the Warcraft movie it really makes me question what people hated about it so much. i didnt think it was that bad.
TBH, I thought it was actually rather enjoyable. All the actual specific criticism I've seen seems to have come from edgelords who got upset that it had comedic elements and a romance plotline, when they'd rather it have just been two plotless hours of orcs and humans cracking each others' skulls.
I just think it tried to do too much in too short time, too many characters, too many plotlines, too big a conflict right out of the gate... i've watched it once and thought it was just mid when it had potential to be the next big LOTR thing. If it had been a trilogy and they took things a bit slower...
Also, why live action? The CGI animation in the cutscenes, intros and trailers is alaways so amazing, why not just make a movie in that style?
And i don't care much about Warcraft (i casually played the RTS games, that's it), maybe that is why all the characters were a bit too much to follow for me,
but damn a StarCraft CG movie trilogy like the cutscenes, i'd kill for.
Live action adaptations usually do not feel authentic enough to the games... see the new Fallout Series, it ain't bad, but some minor stuff just always feels off...
and lets not even talk about that awful HALO Series.
@@ZeroB4NG I agree with the point on it being live action. it really would of been better as a full CG movie. then people wouldnt be able to complain about "look how CG EVERYTHING is". the story was also rushed, but i suspect that had to do with the usual corporate bs.
that being said you said it your self, the movie was mid. but maybe i'm just easy to please. what's wrong with a mid movie? i'd take a mid movie based off of a franchise i love over something like a complete turn your brain off movie series like Resident Evil.
IS OVERWATCH 1 COMING BACK?
OW Classic™ where they can resell you everything you got in OW1 again since it'll be a separate game!
This is something I called out but a lot of people ignored when the slides came out.
Remember the numbers being much higher today in WoW? Yea.... where are a bunch of those people from?
Not to say DF and SoD, etc. aren't a positive for the game, just that the estimated 7mil is "inflated" by players that predominantly weren't there 2 years ago.
Whats the humongous count for this video? xD
an amazing job
Does this mean that Blizzard is now being able to be turned around into a profitable and actually good company again?
not if they're designing their games for the Chinese market, see Diablo immortal for more details
Their profitable. Just will be mega profitable again cause of Chinese mobile gaming with netease
No. Shit. 🤣 it's Bobby's World after all.
It's surprising that us Gamurs were right all along.
heres a funny thing ya'll shall know
Bobby kotick after leaving blizzard wants to buy TIK TOK

so is this why a lots of us can not log in????????????????? this needs to be fixed. asap. i have my passwords all saved on paper. still i cant log into the game ?
A World of Warcraft reboot would be legendary.
Shame now there will be more gold sellers. Game was likely healthier without.
For example, it would have been healthier for the movie to flop. It was tone deaf and bad. But that market saves a lot of mediocre things
Edit: also check you mics my dude, it was going in and out in the video
I want World of Warcraft / Cyberpunk-Shadowrun 2044
Hellen Keller could tell you this.
im so happy for the Chinese players. i felt so bad when wow stopped for them
How is blizzard constantly winning of late. feel like this isnt the Blizzard we know anymore
I wonder why...
all this means is blizzard isnt blizzard any more because netease wouldnt have teamed back up with blizzard. but teaming up with microsoft? sounds like a good plan
We've been saying this for years.
This just fulfills my prediction that we’ll find out more about how Kotick damaged Blizzard. I suspect he would have made a deal if this were CoD related.
