I watched the Mickey Mouse Club when I was a little girl- I am 72 now, but I still love it!!!
Mouseketeer Lonnie adds: this is not one of my favorite songs but Annie [Annette], Cheryl, Sharon and Karen, in our third season, dance with me (Lonnie), Cubby, Bobby and Tom. In segement #2, our choreographer for the #2 & #3 season, Tom Mahoney, choreographed and dances a Flamenco after Doreen does the lead in with a mantilla on her head.
Hi Lonnie , did you notice this same channel , MickeyMouseClubChannel , made a tribute to Annette Funicello ? It's really sweet and i thought you would like it too
Thank you so much for sharing your memory of our show, Mouseketeer Lonnie! It's always heartwarming to hear from fans who have been with us since the beginning. I'm glad you enjoyed watching us dance with Cubby, Bobby, and Tom, and I hope that our performances brought a smile to your face. Thanks again for your support!czcams.com/video/P8tWI9ryw8s/video.html
I fell in love with Cheryl as soon as I saw her smile. I married a girl who had a beautiful smile like Cheryls’. She was my darling and I lost her to breast cancer in 2007, age 57.
PS Given Doreen's proclivities in the '50s, she may still be wearing the mantilla!
Hahaha. Lonnie, I really enjoy that you take the time to comment on these videos. It's really cool to read something written by an original mouseketeer. (Especially when some of the comments are humorous.) I was just watching an episode of the Mickey Mouse Club today and I noticed how well you hold yourself. It's a real pleasure to watch your confidence in performing. Thanks for being you.
I will miss her as much as you will, Lonnie. Doreen was a vivacious girl. And a pretty nice one, too.
Thank you for your comment! I appreciate your observation about Doreen's possible fashion choices. However, I believe it's important to focus on the content of the video rather than personal assumptions about individuals. Let's keep the discussion respectful and on-topic.czcams.com/video/P8tWI9ryw8s/video.html
I would like to see the full episodes of these shows
Don Grady’s outgoing confidence is evident even at these early stages of his career ... spoken lines are not quite as wooden as some of the Mouseketeers
great Jimmie
I can't believe how young these kids are some went on to be big stars
Response: Right?! It's like they were born with talent oozing out of their diapers! Meanwhile, I'm over here struggling to even hold a tune.czcams.com/video/P8tWI9ryw8s/video.html
That's what happens when you drink too much tequila you start singing in front of a fake train
Cheryl kissed me.
I remember watching this with my 2 brothers and sister Don, Billy, and Synthia. When Cheryl said "ChaChaChuChuLooLa" they all looked at me with this confused face and I just started laughing. Rest in Peace my 2 younger brothers.
Very nice segment depicting some Mexican folklore. This is just a snippet of its rich culture which always has always been showcased in American film and television.
The Mouseketeers as children were great and will be immortal forever on video. As adults those very same Mouseketees are NOT so great, nor are they very believable. I, myself, am close to 70. Cancer? I am NOT remotely afraid of cancer, because I do NOT like conventional medicine, and am a health expert in my own right.
