He IS fantastic! He has well over a million subscribers to HIS channel (which is not the one you are watching.) He is SO popular that OTHER PEOPLE have downloaded his TikTok content & made their own CZcams channel.
Do yourself (AND Dylan himself) a favour, by seeking out HIS actual CZcams channel - (supporting HIM - the content creator) - which I believe is simply: - B. Dylan Hollis. He is ALWAYS funny - (I bet he is funny in his sleep!) I don't think he can EVEN BREATHE OUT, without him coming out with a joke!
Most of his videos are under the "shorts" category of his channel. They are almost always strange recipes (which is why he tries them) & always simple too (since he had never cooked/baked before the pandemic - which is sometimes quite evident.) Many, according to him (& his expressions) turn out really well, & have inspired many to try them. Some turn out quite badly & while awful for him - (since it is his objective to actually try a bite of even the most vile looking creations) - they turn out quite hilarious for viewers.
His channel is SO popular he ended up making a cookbook - (which I think was at the behest of a publisher that must have seen his channel.) He is actually a music student at an American university - (or was when the pandemic hit. The stay at "home" Covid requirement made him start looking through some old cookbooks for the 1st time & try some weird recipes - & voila - a star was born.) This cookbook of his ended up on the New York Times Bestselling Books list just after it came out - in time for Christmas 2023.
I just double checked for you - Dylan's CZcams channel IS - B. Dylan Hollis
- & I was wrong - he does NOT have 1 million subscribers - he has OVER 2 million subscribers to his channel (including myself) because he IS so great - funny, good-hearted & with interesting content.

Why don't you try (as a start) the following 2 recipes from Dylan's channel - "7-Up Salad" & "Pinto Bean Cake" - (this pinto bean cake is about halfway down on his playlist - BOTH are under "shorts".) You can try any others that you like - in fact you should try them ALL, but some are funnier than others.

Oh, he has definitely made some heinous stuff. I HIGHLY recommend the Peanut Butter Bread episode. There are three different versions of the same recipe. You seriously need to make his version of the recipe, but I recommend using Cookie Butter in place of Peanut Butter. It's so delicious!
Quick answers! He collects recipes from older cookbooks, and they can be good or bad (these 6 are just the best simple good ones). He also did come out with a cookbook that compiled the best recipes from the 1900s. But yeah he's great, thanks for the video.

He has made a few things that gave him the same reaction you had to the soggy crackers, he has definitely spit things out. That peanut butter cookies recipe has been, might still be on jars of Kraft peanut butter as recently as 2 years ago. It is on my to try list with Splenda instead of sugar.

Everybody likes, well nearly, coconut ice, since childhood in aus. As a kid can make it themselves, though it gets a bit hard to stir. You can make it at home and keep it in the fridge. Make weird colours and they'll let you have it all. Maybe?

To answer your question: yes, he absolutely has made plenty of things that he did not like. In fact: in his book, Baking Yesteryear, there’s a section at the end labeled “Worst Of The Worst” and contains the following five recipes:
Jellied Meatloaf
Spaghetti-O Jello Ring
Roughage Loaf
Prune Whip Pie
Pickle Cheesecake
He even said in an interview that the jellied meatloaf was the worst recipe he ever did.
3-4 ingredient peanut butter cookies are the best. And it's the only time you should use the commercial crappy PB like Skippy or Jif.

I watch every singe thing he puts out. Yes, he does make recipes he hates (many of them involve gelatin). He also put out a cookbook where he added the worst five recipes he's made. If you watch his shorts, it makes for an entertaining evening. His longer videos shows how he cooks and then improves upon these historical recipes. For a former musician who got bored during the pandemic, he found his niche IMHO.

Dylan is VERY popular (with over 2 MILLION subscribers.) For this reason, it seems that many people are downloading his TikTok videos onto their own CZcams channel - even with names that make you THINK it is him, but it is NOT. Only the channel I have listed above is ACTUALLY from Dylan.
On Dylan's channel he has videos listed under "videos" & MOST listed under "shorts." The "shorts" are the more funny, chaotic ones - many from TikTok, but some new as well.
If you are interested in more Dylan info, I have put more in the comments & replies to comments of various people here in Britt's reaction section. It is just things that someone who watches all of his videos learns.
Dylan is a bright, chaotic ball of humourous sunshine who will make you smile or even laugh in his "shorts." His actual "videos" are more serious (although not fully) but may still be of interest to you - ESPECIALLY if you like to cook - but possibly even if you don't.
