- I remember watching this with my late grandmother back in 1994, it was sad to see Larry looking so ill but his humour was never up for question. It came as a total shock when he passed away not long after this was shown on TV.
This was taken from a vhs recording I took so for something that was recorded 27 years ago I was pleased at how well it turned out.
DISCLAIMER........ I do not own the rights to this show that was shown on TV in the UK.
I hope wherever he is, he can read these comments and realise how loved he was and still is. ❤
It's better than anything shown today and classed as entertainment.
I find myself blessed to be 59, and to have come up through my years watching so many of our great British comedians and entertainers in the 60's, 70's and 80's, many of whom we will never see their like again, just brilliant. RIP Larry x
Me too my god we were privileged to live through the golden age of entertainment unlike the dire rubbish today
Loved him
bless him,i wish we could all give him a hug,
Larry was the total professional to the end. Total gentle genius. Sadly missed. Love and peace.
Wonderful comedian. Lovely man. Very much missed. His last performance but on top form. RIP. Dear Larry Grayson. 🌹🌹
i agree,
He died just 4 weeks later. A lovely chap. This last performance was so good. His act didn’t age, the asides are still so funny. God bless him.
I loved him, but he didn’t look well on this performance! ☹️
He always came across as a very kind fellow.
Indeed, he seemed like a nice boy.
What an amazing guy, Total class, incredibly funny, and talented beyond belief. We don't have anyone like him these days I'm afraid, which is why I don't watch TV anymore.
Loved him. They don't make TV like that anymore! Larry what a legend! R.I.P and thanks for the laughs! Xxxx
Great performer, and a great last performance!
What a way to bow out!
A great performer to the end, yes to the end, this, his last performance was fine and touching at the end. R.I.P. Larry.
It's almost as if he knew it was his last performance RIP Larry
Absolutely brilliant. Where have those days gone?
With our youth.
Legendary performer - absolute star.
Lovely fella, miss him and all the other great comedians.
there will never be another like him.r.i.p
I watched the story of his career recently and they referenced this performance as LG fading, what a lie, the man was still on point and funny as ever RIEP LG
I just watched that too and, sadly, I have to agree with them. His timing isn't as sharp, and that was a big part of his act.
I've watched many videos of Larry on YT and read through the comments, and no-one has had a bad word to say about him. Sad that this was his last performance. RIP Larry.
Great British entertainer sadly missed
God bless him. Struggling a bit here. But absolutely hilarious in his day.
Definitely not a sharp as he was in his prime, but still very, very funny! Such big hearted humour. Love him.
I had the privilege of being shown his This is Your Life Red Book. I only wish I'd met him though!
For those of us of a sertain age, remember when this guy was hilarious, and a natural genius.
Heartbreaking now.
RIP Larry grayson I never forget Him
He used to drink in many of the clubs of Nuneaton and entertain everyone on his nights off.......not an inkling of "I'm famous"..... never heard anyone with a bad word about the guy....... and never any of the miners , foundry workers, brickies or the Coventry car factory workers ever taking exception to his entertainment
NEVER forgot his roots for one moment he knew that his comedy came from the working classes
I am from Nuneaton too and the older people used to remember him as Billy Bream at the Bermuda Working Men’s Club and loved him. I grew up in Bermuda Village
Lovely story, but what I expected. Not a bad word by anyone, a lovely kind man and so funny. Taken far too early. Thanks for sharing. This was a great performance and I still laugh.
So nice to hear.
Quite fabulous.Incredibly funny guy.
I remember this being broadcast and my mom rushed into the lounge saying oh that’s Larry Grayson voice hahaha … Bless him he was brilliant
What a lovely man he was.
When you can walk onto a stage without saying a word and the audience go wild. Youre a true star.
Absolutely joyous.
Lovely Larry made me laugh so much riep funny sweetheart xx
I'm sure as he's coming off (oo-er) stage it dawns on him that it's probably his last time in front of an audience.
God Bless you Larry. You were so loved. A gentle, funny soul. RIP.
Wonderful to the very end ❤
R.I.P. Much missed.
Lovely Lovely msn, he didnt need foul language to get laughs, a brilliant comedian
4:30 Shut that door !!
RIP Larry
He made people laugh and never at him but with him.Larry was adored and Loved very Very much and rightly so.God Bless him and Thank you x
Shut that door
TV at its very best. The 1970’s & 80’s. So sick of what they class as great TV these days. Ant and Dec and the love island drivel
I think this is quite a sad performance. He has clearly lost much of his powers here. A result of being out of the game for so long. Wonderful character 'though and God bless him.
I think people willed him to succeed, even if he wasn't as polished as before. He bucked the trend in an age when life was faster, expectations became higher and the patience threshold became less. A genuine man, whose comedy came from his life experiences, non-threatening: a unique individual. czcams.com/video/_lotGzFaRbY/video.html
He still made the audience laugh!
@@essexpeter6116he did make them laugh ❤
I’d give anything to happen upon a time-slip, finding myself back in the days before the lunacy we’re now dealing with - 1960/70/80s please take me back, let me get stuck there, when comedy was truly funny, before the perma-offended took over our entire lives.
Larry Grayson was the best, the older I get, the more I miss him…❤
