It's a shame comedians from his era aren't allowed anymore due to the over sensitives that have taken over and are offended by everything.
Larry was a true showman, we need his kind in an otherwise miserable world.
Once again Paul, a superb job
Brilliant xx
Larry was one of the best comedians of his time, everybody loved him , such a natural comedienne, I loved Larry and have also visited his grave , thank you Paul for putting this on your channel.
"Look at the muck in here" proper comedy, not like today's rubbish .. RIP Larry
I liked the Guy . An individual who was not ashamed to be himself . He gave me many laughs . We have lost so many from that Era , Entertainers today just don't seem to have that , same Spark . RIP, Larry .
RIP Larry Grayson 💐💐💐, never forgotten.
Rest in peace Larry Grayson and his family too!! And a lovely family headstone!!! 🙏😇🙏😇🙏😇
He made me laugh so much as a kid and loved the way he would look into the camera when something was said or done wrong. RIP Larry ❤
A friend of my mother knew him. He was sweet man and harmless. Xxx
Definitely a character and risque for his time but brought many a smile.lovely to see he was not buried alone . Thank you for sharing.
Larry Grayson was of his time. One of the great variety acts on peak time telly on Saturday nights. In the 70s/80s. He was up there with Bruce Forsythe. Bob Monkhouse. Les Dawson etc...I loved his camp persona..catch phrases like look at the dust here? Shut that door. And of course what a gay day..!!...sadly all these great entertainers have now passed on ...much missed. But. as I said they was of their time....Thanks again Paul for all the miles you travel. And for brining these celebrities and final resting places to this platform 😂❤.....
Loved Larry Grayson. Also love that era of TV. The good old days.
Larry grayson was a iconic legend his camp humour was brilliant such a iconic comedian 😊
He brought such laughter & fun onto our screens
I preferred him to Bruce Forsyth when he took over the Generation Game
Loved his “Shut that Door” & “What a Gay Day” 😂😂
I think he was the first Camp Act I saw on TV in the 70’s & he was very popular especially when he talked about “Everard, Apricot Lil & Slack Alice 😂
Great Entertainer
Look forward to watching Paul 💙👏🏻
Love Larry he had such a great gossipy humour but was never cruel . RIP Larry 😊
One of the greatest showmen ever. RIP Larry
I loved Larry Grayson so funny and seemed a genuinely nice person too. R.I.P.❤
Very respectful visit to his resting place and a kind gesture to Larrys memory. He had a poodle dog he named William too.
Larry Grayson such a character 🚪, amazing as ever thank you Paul 😊😊
I remember when he was first on TV back in the 70s,so many people were shocked to see a man act so camp on TV. Its nothing today, but the world is a different place. And somtimes not for the better. Rip Larry.
I met him at the Swan Centre in Yardley signing autographs what a wonderful man he was . Nothing more to say but what a great loss to the Entertainment industry ... RIP Larry
Met larry once such a nice guy, he passed away in the hospital i still work at today, R I P a great comedian
1 of the many greats of Saturday night entertainment 😊
I loved Larry grayson he could make me cry laughing 😂😂😂😂
Thank you Paul, Larry was a very humble , jovel man , I'm from Banbury also. He was well respected from all in Banbury. Lovely man he brought many many good memories of my youth . Thank you Larry, never forgot where he was from. Proud man . Rest in peace for eternity .
Larry was loved by so many. He worked hard and was just so good. Paul yes this was so respectful and informative. Once again my praise always. Thank you so very much. Kindest regards.
Larry Grayson was old school, brilliant, respectful and a legendary performer. His brand of comedy was before it's time. It paved the way for camp performers, drag queens, and acceptance.
He had superb comic timing, the ability to bring in his "friends". We all thought we knew Everard and Apricot Lil.
Thanks Paul for this great video again. I really love them.
Nice that he's buried with his family there. Have a nice evening and take care of yourself. Greetings from Germany Melinda
He had a tough start in life. Like many tv comedians he was probably at his best performing in front of a live audience. I don't recall Game For a Laugh being on tv all that long but the Generation Game returned to our screens.
Wonderful man and Person, so Down too Earth and kind . You Will Never see a comic like Him again Pual. Took him So long too Be a Star, then Become one of the best comic of his Generation. Rest in Peace Larry
Larry Grayson [and Isla St Clair] elevated The Generation Game to essential Saturday night viewing. Nothing but good memories of the man and the show! 📺
While working at Birmingham Airport years ago. While waiting for the delayed offloading of cases onto the carousels. while the passengers had to wait....I was surprised to bump into Larry, who was patiently waiting with the other passengers. It was 30 minutes I will never forget. he was a very friendly and genuinely nice fella. I live in the Midlands and will one day pay my respects. thanks Paul.
❤ great tribute once again, you are in my own town, I knew Larry Grayson awesome.. 🙏 I can remember him doing is act in our local club… thank you paul 🤗👍❤️..
Literally everyone has said it before me. Lovely, down to earth and very very funny man. I thought he was wonderful.
Looking forward to seeing this
Sorry I’m very tired tonight so didn’t stay on the chat long
Great to speak to you all
Absolutely loved The Generation Game as a kid in the 70s/80s . I think it was his clubland sense of comedy as well as being as camp as he could that made us all laugh . Larry was definitely one of a kind and fantastic with it . R.I.P Larry Grayson . God bless .
Larry was one of the worlds nice people. He had to work hard for his success and it came quite late for him.
Never forgot his roots and remained humble
Larry was funny and a great showman , always enjoyed his show on TV in the 70.s RIP LARRY
Another fine entertainer. Loved the Generation game. He should be remembered a little more for the laughter he gave. Bless him.
Loved Larry Grayson ...funny man ...Great tribute Paul 💙
I spent some time in Nuneaton in the late 80 s and into the 90 s .every day I would walk by Larry's house .if he was at home he had a flag flying on a pole in his garden .
One day as I was walking by he was standing by his front gate I recognised him and I waved to him saying hello . without hesitation he smiled said hello and gave me a big wave .later that week I watched him on the TV . He was so down to earth and very genuine that day .may he rest in peace
Another fantastic video Paul thank you. Long may they continue. Look forward to seeing more x and remember to Shut That Door lol x
A very funny man indeed. Always made me laugh. Rest in Peace Larry. 🖤
Larry we last of his generation - a genuine, kind gentleman and a gentle man. But he was also a trailblazer of new comedy.
Kind, emotional, warm and very funny - we need Larry today just as much as then.
Thankyou again for this tribute Paul. Larry a very funny man I loved the generation game when he hosted it, great Saturday evenings then. R.I.P Larry you are missed 💗🌹

Larry wat do you say about Larry oh yeah fabulous fantastic funny an adorable Larry was bk then entertainment thanks Paul he deserved this tribute 😅❤👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👌👌
I used to watch Larry grayson with my mam and dad when I was little. We've lost so many brilliant comics/entertainers over the years back when every one wasn't so sensitive lol our council has just banned chubby brown from my town hes been here loads of times the towns not happy, hes not for everyone but I think people should be able to decide if they want to go or not. Thankyou for another great vid
Standup comedy isn't my thing but the publicity for Chubby Brown's shows do state that people might find the humour offensive.
Chubby brown is a very clever and intelligent man , l think he should run for prime minister ✨✨✨✨✨✨
I do remember larry very funny man great video paul thank you
Remember watching the generation game although I was quite young
I loved Larry Grayson, made everyone laugh, lovely that he is with his family,RIP Larry x
I'm old as well Paul, I also remember him very well and used to watch the Generation Game every Saturday night. Great video as always, keep them coming, your doing a great job.😎😎👍👍
Lovely Paul….now rewatching your Noele Gordon film. Loved the recent mini series about Noele. I was a bit concerned about how Larry would be portrayed, hoped it wasn’t going to be a send up but it was done really well. The portrayal focused on Larry the man and friend of Noele and not his stage persona. Keep ‘em coming!
Thank you for this Paul, growing up in the 70’s I have fond memories of watching Larry on tv ❤️
Thank you once again Paul for giving us the chance to pay respect to a lovely man who made us genuinely laugh . Loved him 😂
R.I.P EMILY MORGAN itv news reporter 46 taken far to young😪
Oh my. I really need to press the notifications bell. Larry Grayson. For me, Legend and neighbour. I’m a Nuneaton girl, but now live in Cornwall. During the later years of Larry’s life he lived around the corner from me. He would often pass my house or pass you in the street and never failed to say hello. My dad was so funny. He would see Larry and say ‘ alright mate’. Such a dear, lovely man was Larry. So humble.
I visited his grave last year when I went to visit my mum. I’m sure I will go again.
Thankyou for remembering this amazing man.
Larry Grayson "Shut that door " remember him on TV . Wasn't a fan but i didn't mind him
Up there with one of my favourites. His comedy and wit always had me laughing and his wit was sharp! Fantastic video and you never fail remembering nostalgic moments ❤
I remember when Larry Grayson took over from Bruce Forsyth and wasn't sure if the show was going to be as good. But, I have to say that he did a great job. It's hard to take over from a legend such as Bruce when people loved him so much. He brought his own humour to the show along with his catch phrases to great applaud, especially after Bruce's own ones. It was a brave move.
Larry was a highly talented entertainer from what is now a bygone time. To watch this makes me smile as it brings back memories from my childhood and my late mother who loved him and his camp humour .
Thanks for this Paul, it’s made me smile on a boring Wednesday work night :) x
He was one of them people that made you laugh just looking at him Rip pop it in Pete
Larry Grayson was a funny man bk in the 70s🤩 I was sixteen in 1978 when The generation game came to our TV screens 📺 I loved the show then shut that door🚪 another funny show 😂 I remember slack Alice and Everard 🤣🤣 use to make me laugh 😂 RIP Larry Grayson god bless 🙏🌹🕊️ thanks Paul another great video 👍
Good Evening Paul hope your well 😊😊
Remember Larry Grayson ,Shut that door 😊
Larry brought a lot of happiness to many people bless him.
I loved Larry back in the day. Forever funny. At 62 i remember all the old comics like Frankie Howard, Les Dawson and the rest.
Both or their grave visits are on the channel too…
Good evening all! First time I have been able to join a premiere, looking forward to this one!
I loved Larry Graysons Generation Game. He made the show his own. When he took part in the games with Ila they were brilliant. When he chatted to the male contestants he would say Seems like a nice boy. He was bloody funny. With the world in a really bad way we need to belly laugh more. Why not repeat his shows and let the younger generation see what he was like.
You don’t get presenters like him no more what a shame, I was told that he had a flag outside his house and when he was home the flag was up just like the queen at Buckingham Palace
I used to enjoy him very much and disregarded the risqué parts, they were over as fast as they came, so didn’t register like that at tge time. Loved hearing about his friends Everard and Slack Alice! So glad you found his grave Paul, not knowing his real name or all the other family members he shared his last resting place with, I would never have found it! Just hope that maybe some viewers of your program who may live not too far away from this cemetery may be encouraged to take some flowers, pot plants even bulbs to plant ready for next spring! Anything to show Larry that he really isn’t forgotten. I saw a large vase on the grave, so they obviously hoped “someone “ might bring flowers some time ….Thankyou for this walk down memory lane Paul, and the little clip of a very dapper Larry, who always did look smart! Love and light! Helen in Norfolk 🙋♀️💕😘😘👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😘
Bless him, I loved Larry. I need to visit this grave. Yesterday I paid my respect to Patrick Fyffe. And shortly I’ll be visiting Noele Gordon’s resting place. There was a documentary about Larry not so long ago, it might be here on CZcams. I’ve read his biography too, an interesting read. Highly recommend. Cheers Paul. Another great video. ❤
Larry was very underrated, a fantastic showman and extraordinary storyteller ( slack Alice)
Larry grayson was just hilarious and sadly missed loved his catchphrase shut that door
He was a truly funny and charming man,one of a kind, God Bless you Larry!
❤❤Thank you so much for showing the grave of Larry grayson. I loved watching him when I was growing up. Thank you for laughs Larry. May you rest in peace. Thank you once again Paul ❤ ❤
Evening Paul, Larry was the best host on generation game with isla. He made Saturday night TV worth staying in for.
It’s good to see Larry Grayson getting the appreciation he deserves, as there was a time when it wasn’t trendy to like him. Search “Larry Grayson on Pebble Mill 1992” on here to see his natural humorous style.
Thank you Paul. He was one of my favourites. Shut that door, Slack Alice. etc. RIP Larry.
Hey Paul how are you sweetheart. Love the videos and history that you do. I absolutely love and adore larry brilliant for his gags and just so funny RIP sweetheart. Thank you again Paul take care and keep them cumming. Sending hugs and love to you. Xxxxxx 🌹🌹🌹
So many great Gay comedians have blessed these shores. Larry Grayson, Kenneth Williams, Frankie Howard and the late Paul O'Grady. And still with us Julian Clary, Alan Carr, Graham Norton and Joe Lycett. Perhaps my favourite Gay comedian around today is another Larry - Larry Dean a brilliant Glasgow comic.
A lovely memorial , and like you say with other members of his family . Thanks again Paul for another intresting informative video.
Larry Grayson, what a wonderful man, and a true master of his craft. At the peak of his career, he was attracting audiences of 28 million people on Saturday night TV. He was genuinely funny, clever but never vulgar. Not many comedians around now, of his calibre.
Whenever you hear Larry Grayson you always think shut that door x rip ❤
Larry lived round the corner from my gran in nuneaton.. always stopped to talk.....lovely guy.
Awwww The generation game x
Larry Grayson was brilliant! Great video as always. I've heard that Larry was cremated and it's his ashes in that grave.
Larry Grayson what a wonderful man he was great entertainer what you saw was what you got i watched many a satarday night telly full laughter and Giggles 1 ae the best off 80s sad hes passed on but never forgotten ( shut that door ) R.I.P. L G
Larry grayson was a funny bloke love when he said shut that door thank you paul😊😊
Very memorable character. God bless him.
Yet another master piece Paul. 👏
Cheers Kev, will watch your one soon mate 🙏
I love Larry Grayson…with his “Shut that door”…plus of course all his made up friends that I’ve forgotten all their names…I used to watch him with my mum+we never stopped laughing. He did cut his cloth very close to the edge, but younger children wouldn’t have understood his double meaning to a lot of his material. He was a true genius both on The Generation Game+his subsequent programmes, he was so hysterically funny…RIP Larry, I bet he’s up there telling everybody to
“Shut that door”!!! One in a million Larry…we’ve certainly remembered you over the years!!! X🙃❤️🙏🏻✝️
Sweet man who brought lots of fun and laughter to our lives, happy days.
Good video Paul, always respectful. I certainly remember my parents and grand parents not missing the Generation Game and liked Larry. He was from that age, where they had to work and earn their place in the comedy world; Clubs, Holiday Seasons, etc. May he R.I.P 🙏
Nice tribute Paul as always to an iconic entertainer Larry such a funny man the old style music hall entertainers we will not see his likes again! I always enjoyed his entrance music he would come on stage to it was the Judy Garland Classic "The Man That Got Away" dragging his chair behind him. He loved the great days of Hollywood and the Classic stars and of course the great Music Hall stars! 25 Million viewers for "The Genration Game" can't be bad can it - Larry gone but not forgotten we still have lots of his great shows and moments captured on video to watch he still makes me laugh - "Shut That Door!" - Thankyou Larry we love and miss you. R.I.P - Mark - Wallasey - Wirral 1/6/23.
A lovely, lovely man who I met very briefly, no nothing like that! Very kind and considerate, I think that you would call him a GENTLEman. RIP Larry.
Nice presentation Paul. Larry was ahead of his time and i think very brave to put it out there as gay. Didn't realise he was past from pillar to post in his youth. A classic comedian taking his inspiration from real people to create carictors that he observed. His houmor made us laugh at ourselves.
Larry Grayson lived just down the road from my parents. Met him a couple of times. A real gentleman who always had time for a chat. RIP Sir.
Great Entertainer, well loved and respected by the public. Enjoyed watching The Generation Game on BBC1 Saturday evenings and his funny interactions with the shows contestants. They were good old days and great family entertainment!!! Thanks for the laughs, RIP Larry 🙏🙏
