    Are you trying to conceive and worried you have to cut out your morning coffee in order to boost your fertility? The good news is, you don't have to cut it out completely. sigh of relief
    In today's episode of Nourish, fertility dietitian Melanie McGrice, explains why you don't necessarily have to avoid all caffeine, reveals some other foods that contain caffeine and clarifies what the research suggests as a recommended limit.

    So in my opinion; the best to not to risk and skip coffee. Going through IVF is not fun. Needles + worries + waiting times + side effects of the hormones. You don’t want to do multiple rounds. If you can do IVF, you are a hero and also can skip the coffee. :)

      Thanks for sharing your very valid thoughts Reni! Definitely agree those going through IVF are superheroes and the short term avoidance of caffeine is small (relative) sacrifice!

    how do you know how much caffeine is in your cup of coffee?

      You'll have to look at the type of coffee, where you got it from, how it was processed and how much you used

      @@jairathor5820 The evidence regarding caffeine consumption and sperm quality is inconsistent. Therefore, the recommendation is to enjoy caffeinated drinks in moderation.

      Yes, tea does contain caffeine. Some herbal teas however, do not have caffeine.

      It is also recommended to limit caffeine consumption during pregnancy, as excess caffeine can lead to complications.

    How much caffeine is in Matcha or green tea?

      Thank you for commenting! While there is limited evidence on correlation between fertility and caffeine intake in men. I recommend erring on side of caution, and sticking to two cups of coffee per day.
