  • Some thoughts about dapoxetine and sleep problems in particular. Dapoxetine is a medication developed specifically to help with premature ejaculation. It's also marketed as Priligy.

      I have a few recommendations for boosting serotonin levels generally - see my video here: czcams.com/video/77K3j3SbfQw/video.html
      But of course, dapoxetine will give you that boost on demand so is probably sufficient 🙂

    Hi Jason, hopefully you can help. I have tried 30mg and 60mg prilogy and around 70% of the time I have experienced vomiting. Is there a anything I can do to stop this happening ? Also, I have been cutting the pills in half. Is it ok to cut the pills in half ?

      Hello, it sounds like you're experiencing quite a common side-effect of SSRI medication.
      My understanding is that serotonin receptors in the brain and gastrointestinal tract are stimulated by the increase in serotonin levels, resulting in nausea that can be quite intense.
      So reducing the dose makes sense, and AFAIK it's ok to split the tablets - but do check with a pharmacist on that.
      But if the side-effect continues on a smaller dose, or a dose that's so low it negates the benefits, it might just not be the medication for you.
      Your doctor might recommend a regular, daily SSRI medication which would give you time to get used to the side-effects (usually two weeks), but I appreciate a lot of guys don't want or need to take an SSRI every day when they aren't depressed.
      I hope this is helpful and wish you the best!

    Can you take it together with Cialis?

    • @LastingLongerLab
      @LastingLongerLab  Před 2 lety

      I don't think that's recommended. See my most recent video 'Blue pills for lasting longer' for some thoughts about mixing dapoxetine with sildenafil. I expect the same applies for tadalafil (aka Cialis). But as always, do check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure.

    Does dapoxetine cause vomiting as side effects...I tried super Kamagra (generic Viagra) which is sildenafil + dapoxetine 60mg and make me sick and vomiting.
    Not sure why...May I should take it with food??

    • @LastingLongerLab
      @LastingLongerLab  Před rokem

      I'm aware that dapoxetine can cause feelings of nausea, often quite soon after swallowing. I haven't heard of actual vomiting but I'm sure that's possible too. Taking with food may help, but sildenafil is usually recommended to be taken on an empty stomach to help it take effect. Dapoxetine can be taken with or without food. Maybe try sildenafil or dapoxetine medication separately first and see if either give you the same reaction? I appreciate that means sourcing different pills. And speak with your pharmacist if possible. I hope things ease up for you!

    How long does it allow you to last? I’ve been searching everywhere for this problem and I’m really desperate at this point.

    • @LastingLongerLab
      @LastingLongerLab  Před 2 lety +3

      It depends, but guys typically say that dapoxetine helps them go from around 1 minute to maybe 4 or 5 minutes. I've heard reports of much longer (10+ mins) and no increase at all, so it really can vary.
      This depends on the dosage too: dapoxetine usually comes in 30mg or 60mg tablets. 60mg will be more effective, but also more potential side effects too. So if you give this a go, it's a process of experimentation. And of course, your doctor or chemist will be able to give you professional guidance.

    Can you compare the side effects of dapoxetine and clomipramine?

    • @LastingLongerLab
      @LastingLongerLab  Před rokem

      That's a good suggestion - thanks. For a quick answer, studies suggest that dapoxetine (an SSRI) and clomipramine (a tricyclic) are comparable in terms of on-demand effectiveness for PE.
      Side-effects are comparable too, and something else they both have in common is increased likelihood of side-effects when taken on-demand rather than as a daily dose.
      This makes sense because they both work similarly in terms of reuptake blocking. That said, if too much medication is taken, the risk of serious cardiovascular side-effects is lower with SSRIs because they are more selective.

      @LastingLongerLab  Před rokem

      @@hosseinghadjari1496 You're welcome! It seems to depend on the individual, but it seems standard to try an SSRI first and then clomipramine as a fallback option. Effectiveness seems to be comparable from the stats I've seen.

    • @LastingLongerLab
      @LastingLongerLab  Před 11 měsíci +1

      If dapoxetine is available to you as an option, it's relatively safe to try. See whether a) it helps you and b) whether you experience significant side effects (some men don't). But give consideration to other options too, such as learning how to relax your lower body and pelvis and build tolerance to stimulation. So depending on what you've tried already, these can be better approaches to try first.
