Ronnie Milsap It Was Almost Like a Song Lyrics
Once in every life
Someone comes along
And you came to me
It was almost like a song
You were in my arms
Right where you belong
And we were so in love
It was almost like a song
January through December
We had such a perfect year
Then the flame became a dying ember
All at once you weren't here
Now my broken heart
Cries for you each night
And It's almost like a song
But it's much too sad to write
Now my broken heart
Cries for you each night
And It's almost like a song
But it's much too sad to write
It's too sad to write

Born 1970.
I miss them.. VERY MUCH.
😢
Born 1973 how I miss them
I do ! ❤
Hello ✋ Carl, how are you doing
Absolutely
One of the most under-rated songs of all time
It this song was under-rated it would've been a flop, it was a very huge hit, so it's not under-rated
@@williefeliciano746it doesn’t get the credit it deserves 🫵
2024, this is still damn good!
A truly a beautiful song that many can relate to. Just too bad nowadays songs like this are non existent. Thank you Ronnie.
He is 80 now, and we STILL LOVE his gift to us!!! Thank you RONNIE
Thanks 😊 so much for the love and support ❤️🩹 comments like this are priceless …Are you one of my great fans out there?
Sure am !!
@@RonaldLeeMillsapsI have to go see you in Concert soon. Hopefully at the Golden Nugget next winter
I feel bad for him, though, since his wife and son have both died within the past few years. I don’t know if he had any grandkids.
One of the best all time country music singers .
I miss the 70's and 80's 👍
Yes I do miss this time. The music, the way things were, the good times for us. This music brings back wonderful memories.💕
A perfect song for people who had a love with pain.❤
One of the most perfect songs ever written and performed.
Absolutely love the way Ronnie sings this song. He stretches each word out and leaves you wanting more. He owns this song. Lyrics by Hal David. Miss you Ronnie! 🎶
Hello ✋ Brett, how are you doing??
Soooo many memories attached to this song. 😢
Every time I hear this song it makes me cry of a greatest lost love of my life, and no one had ever replaced that love. Now I'm in my 60's and I will never love like that again.
I'm in the same boat.
I know the feeling well..high school sweetheart.
Really hurts when the person you love doesn't have the same love for you. 😢
Me too. I'm crying now. I'm so sorry.
Grieve it, appreciate that you had it and move on. God can help you see a better day and be reconciled to Him.
God loved you enough to send His only begotten Son to bear your sin on the cross that you might spend eternity with Him.
I've been listening to Ronnie since my childhood this was my dad's drinking music he passed away in 2018 I'm 51 now and Everytime I hear Ronnie Milsap it reminds me of him ❤❤❤
Thanks 😊 so much for the love and support ❤️🩹 comments like this are priceless …Are you one of my great fans out there?
First heard this 43 years ago, chillbumps every time!
I'm so grateful to Ronnie Milsap who influenced me to learn to play the piano 45 years ago!!! Ronnie is someone I consider a great influencer. Not these idiots of today on social media like TikTok or CZcams. Thank you Ronnie!!!
Thanks 😊 so much for the love and support ❤️🩹 comments like this are priceless …Are you one of my great fans out there?
@@RonaldLeeMillsaps[Nobody's] your fan...SCAMMER! You're not the real Ronnie Milsap! You're a miserable, pathetic, scammer, who's a failure at life; otherwise, you would not have to beg people if they like you!
You worse that a dog who chases and begs crumbs! You're just a crumb chasing, no life loser! Pathetic!!
Hard to believe I saw this guy at the WV State Fair in the 70's. I really miss clasic songs like this one. Some people were just born to sing.
For him to be blind his songs were as if he could paint a canvas with only the vision in his mind truly a talented and gifted legend
Beautifully said....
Great song. Music was beautiful and life was simple 🇨🇮
I miss my wife Janice when I hear this song ❤️ and I 💕 have a broken heart 💔 she was my love but she died
Wow.what a powerful voice he had. I love it. He is a great singer. So powerful. Too bad there aren't more songs like this around. Music sucks today. Love to go back to the years before. That was MUSIC. . .🤗🤗🤗💯💯💯👏👏👏

I have to agree
Unbelievably effortless. He's so underrated.
not underrated...had over 40 hit songs
@@lilpoohbear653 not my point. You can have hits and be underrated. He's rarely mentioned in the GOAT discussions.
@@danielsavage2481 he's remembered very much by lots of fans....who cares about discussions.
@@naturesfinest4871 I do. It's just an opinion, not here for an argument.

I wasn't born until 4 years later. I grew up on this music cause of my parent's mostly my dad. I agree life was so simple and everyone got along even in the 80s. I would give anything myself to go back too as long as I can take my children with me.
Born in 1978 brother.
Born in 88 and I will give my all of my soul into bringing as much of this back as the good Lord allows me to.

I totally agree! This iconic song was a collaboration between Hal David & Archie Johnson and executed perfectly by Ronnie 🎶
What a Golden Voice!
I heard this song for the first time when I was a 16 year old punk rocker. I never told any of the band members, but I absolutely loved it! Great song! ❤️

Hello ✋ Deb,how are you doing??
Thank you for the beautiful song! Love you Ronnie Milsap! 2-2--24😂😅😊
Last night I made it to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for what will probably be this living legend's last show. He is not well. So many artists sang tributes to him and then Ronnie took the stage for Prisoner of the Highway, Smokey Mountain Rain and of course, It was Almost Like a Song. My 10 year old loves you Ronnie. He was there. You bring me back to when my parents were young and I was a little boy in our old Chevy listening to WHN 1050 AM in NYC. We both got old, my man, but thank you for the love songs and for serenading my wife and son last night. Thank you to all of the talented artists who sang to you. Finally, Gordon Mote said he was 4, and was also blind, and hearing and learning of Ronnie Milsap changed his life.
what a performance, what a voice!
Hello ✋ Neil, how are you doing??

I love me some Ronnie Milsap! Memories of my childhood in Fresno, California from the mid 1970's to early 80's! Tons of hits he had!!
Pardon me while I weep! This one hurts dear, and hurts deep. Words that will remain. Beautifully done!
I saw him in concert in 1981 in the gymnasium at Davenport College. Less than a hundred of us fans had him all to ourselves.
I can't believe 8 people gave this song thumbs down this is one of the greatest country love songs I've ever heard from one of the greatest country Legends that's ever lived and still is around I guess they're part of this new generation that prefers just new country I don't I like my stuff old school have and always will God bless Ronnie Milsap and his family and God bless all the other legends that are still here Songs Like This remind you of a time when true love could conquer out anything but heartache just hurt more than ever God bless the person who uploaded disc great video and may this person bring many many more and I will be waiting and listening
