Ronnie Milsap It Was Almost Like a Song Lyrics
Once in every life
Someone comes along
And you came to me
It was almost like a song
You were in my arms
Right where you belong
And we were so in love
It was almost like a song
January through December
We had such a perfect year
Then the flame became a dying ember
All at once you weren't here
Now my broken heart
Cries for you each night
And It's almost like a song
But it's much too sad to write
Now my broken heart
Cries for you each night
And It's almost like a song
But it's much too sad to write
It's too sad to write

I am 75 and still listening to Ronnie and always will love you Ronnie ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
OMG! The best ever! You can hear the pain and joy in his voice at the same time.
With that wonderful voice and piano talent and he only has 700+ likes . He was so much better than that.
Nothing like cruising on the Blue Ridge Parkway while listening to Ronnie Milsap.
Always perfect, made to look so simple and flawless!!!!! Much respect to this day!!!!
Who doesn’t love Ronnie?
Aboustley love this song. Been a fan since I was a teenager. Had all of his records. And still do. This song brings bk so many memories. It's a sad but wonderful song Ronnie was a great entertainer.
This never fails to reduce me to rubble ...
the only singer who could possibly follow Roy Orbison... operatic...astounding voice...
Yes,totally agree, still playing my original LP's today of Roy Orbison,Ronnie Milsap, and Buddy Holly. Still love their amazing voices as I did back in the great days of the 1960's,1970's.
So beautiful! Ronnie Milsap is terrific...
I love this song and how he sings it. I love to sing along with my terrible voice.
In the original old 45-he sang it even better! A Classic!
A pop classic from the one and only RONNIE LEGEND
Such a sad, sad song but sung brilliantly by Ronnie, 1977 lives !
The year I was born. Great year for many reasons....not at all the least is this song.

MY VERY FAVORITE RONNIE SONG
What a vocalist!
is that the same as a singer?
Incredible musician
One of the most talented people to ever set foot in Nashville.
Never forget the first time I saw him in person. Reunion arena Dallas Texas. Barbara Mandrel highlighted with Ronnie 2nd and new kid ricky Skaggs opening. Skaggs blew everyone away. Ronnie comes out and tops that. Poor Barbara didn't have a chance once her turn came.
In 1977 I was teaching driving and a lot of times after a lesson that song would come on the radio and, would sooth my nerves , I would sing along with Ronnie Milsap as loud as I could most of the people in the neighborhood probably thought I was crazy.. the song is powerful still gives me goosebumps to this very day !
Love your story !! Goes to show how awesome the song was and that you have great taste in music !! 👍

Music by Archie Jordan and lyrics by Hal David.
I love that you can see his joyful reaction the moment his vibrato kicks in on that final note. Such an amazing, legendary talent!!
