In this video, Jasmine McDonald, St Josephs Catholic High School, Albion Park, NSW shows how she made "Rocky" for her 2016 Year 12 Industrial Studies project work.     Brilliant! I've been thinking of trying one of these and your video has convinced me to go ahead. One question, can you give me a list of the hand held power tools and cutters that you used, and any other hand tools. I don't mind paying for good tools but don't want to go overboard on stuff I don't really need and at same time don't want to buy cheap tools that are not fit for purpose. Anyway, great job and love the way the plywood laminating comes out as the horse is carved. It would be a pity to paint it.

      @@perfectionistist it probably doesn't matter too much, as long as its near the higher end. I'm sure, Birch, poplar, or Maple would work well.

      The plans give a 18mm thickness and the plywood is b grade birch plywood.
