It got spoiled for me, but I still loved the ending and i kind of forgot about the spoiler since it was so epic
yup
Lelouches brother is a great final villian. Talking about wearing a mask to hide behind peace when your actually promoting fear and controll
I agree, and that's why the episode where they finally meet in battle is my favorite. The Power of the King versus Damocles, essentially a nation-killing technological Deathnote. Ultimately, Schneizel is defeated by his own lack of ego in pursuit of godhood. It's genius character writing.
That said, I do feel that the battle of wits between the two should have lasted much longer. In my opinion, Lelouch as Emperor and Schneizel as the de facto head of the UFN could have carried a 12-13 episodes season *easily*.
@@samg.5165 but that would stretch the show way too longer than it should have. And if we're at it, prior to Grand Battle of Tokyo Settlement there're a season worth of development potential there, so it's just a matter of efficiency.
Lelouch's brother isn't a villain. He literally risks uses his Geass over and over again just for Lelouch. Although he did kill Shirley, he still worked alongside Lelouch.
Cringy GuyX he’s talking about Schneizel el Brittania
@@JoshuaCordonero Oh shit its just Lelouch has so many siblings I didn't even know who he was talkig about.

I hated anime for 4 years, then a friend literally forces me to watch code geass. I cry at the last scene, not just because of the scene itself, but the 4 years i wasted.
And now your profile picture is the GOAT himself 🐐
Anime is a cool genre but no anime has really hit me like Code Geass has
I've always felt like Code Geass is one of the most "perfect" shows out there, in the sense that absolutely everything that happens has a cause and a consequence, and there is little to no filler arcs or episodes that feel like a pause in the plot or the intrigue. Code Geass is non stop. It really never gives pause to the viewer, which is why its so hard to not binge this damn show.
I think that's the reason it is hard to choose a single best episode, since they all feel like one big story rather than an episodic story, like most series feel.
That said, I'd choose the final episode as my favourite, particularly because of how the final battle is showcased. Sure, this is a show about giant mechas, and as such we get a final dragon ball level fight between Suzaku and Kallen. But the real final battle is an ideological one. The conversation that goes on during that fight between Kallen, Suzaku, Lelouch, Nunally... and literally every character with some importance to the series as they all argue about control, fighting the system, the meaning of justice and the place of war in human history. Its. fucking. amazing. An amazing conclusion to all the ideological questions the series has proposed. But what is even more amazing is that the series does not answer any question, but instead gives different answers by different characters, and it makes it even better by allowing the characters to finish each other sentences and support their arguments even if they are not on the same side of the war. Like at one second Lelouch says something and Kallen continues the phrase, but then Kallen says something else and Nunally continues it as her counter argument against Lelouch. its... ... its so perfect, really.
Nah some of them slice of life school episodes were a bit much I'm sorry
Code Geass is a weird case, it's definitely not perfect and has a lot of flaws, as well as thematic dunders, and ridiculous plot points mixed in with some legitimately bad character writing, but it's so we'll executed in everything it tries that is becomes good out of sheer effort. Like on paper, Code Geass' story should not work. But because the suspense, action, and story never stop, it just works. It isn't the best anime, but it's definitely up the top 20, and even if you don't think it's good it's still insanely entertaining.
@@Laiser : screenshotting this. It's the perfect way to describe CG. What are some of your personal favorite anime?
Well said
@@Laiser Just to be clear, I don't mean perfect as in flawless, but as in there is nothing in the series that feels out of place. Everything said and mentioned feels like its perfectly in place because the story just keeps going and going. You never feel like "Oh we are getting filler". Even the slice of life episodes play their part.
It has lots of flaws, but the story feels perfectly planned and I respect that.
Episode 25 for having some of the most intense moments, an epic cliffhanger and probebly the best overall animation of all the episodes in the series R2 included.
I built my 6 figure business because of r2 episode 1. It blew my mind to see a genius like lelouch thinking about getting a job just because he lost his memory of being a prince. I realized why I shouldn't let my environment affect my goals. Your goals shouldn't be based on where you are right now. It should be based on what your true potential is.
I think episode 9 is underrated. It's the one with Kallen, her mother, and the refrain. It's a great self contained story that sets itself apart as one of the most emotional moments in the series.
Code Geass: Season 2, Episode 19
Betrayal was the best episode for me it was an emotional rollar coaster....
It's in the name
Oh yes that one was GREAT
Second best imo
I love Code Geass. It's one of my favourite anime of all time. That being said, I would be interested to know your thoughts on the Lelouch of the Resurrection movie.
I actually have a video about the Resurrection movie. I say a few wrong things, but it encapsulates my thoughts on the movie well enough.
A lot of people who loved the original anime didn’t like it. Many say it was a money grab and basic fan service, but I liked it because that is what the series lacked
@@mightdai7489 I hated the Idea to Resurrect Lelouche to begin with.
@@babiekoala7643 yea because lelouch was never dead to begin with.
Isnt that movie is in a world where the black nights sided with lelouch?
Shirley's death was the worst and best episode...It feels like Lelouch realized in that moment how much he loved her. His desperation and failure to save her and her desperation to make sure he understands that she will love him no matter what identity he takes and what he does (because in the end, they're all the same person) and no matter what suffering she will go through trying to be with him, such true pure love. His loss of Shirley mimicks Suzaku's loss of Euphemia who was also Lulu's first love. I don't think this was a coincidendence in the slightest. I also feel like Shirley was the best choice because her innocence from all the war and politics, her unwavering, undying love was EXACTLY what Lelouch was fighting for. Freedom for good innocent people, otherwise what are you rebelling for? It became about more than just revenge. Shirley represents what one hopes for as the end result of war. She was also the 2nd girl (Euphemia again being first) to want Lulu and Nunally to be together only to die right after. Your video was very analytical, etc which of course isn't bad. But sometimes it's the simple and emotional scenes that are the best. I think for Code Gease, it would be the episode that Lelouch loses the one person he tried to push away from his world only to lose her. It was raw, no hidden meanings or subtle nuances. Just in your face and depressing as hell.
Another Shirley supporter. We love to see it. Beautifully said, too.
I was a little disappointed that the movie retconned her death, especially because she has barely any screentime in it, but it was nice to see her in the movie. Although i believe the animators confirmed that the movie was not canon.
@@nittyclips actually the movies are canon to the movies timeline. the series is canon to the series timeline. the new season is apparently going to continue from the movie, though
My favorite is when Shirley loses her memories. That scene made me cry. I know that it isn't the saddest on the surface, but I really connected with it. It made me think about all of the friends that I had when I was younger and how I don't talk to them or even see them in genral. It really made me realize how valuable a friendship truly is and how you don't really realize how much your friends mean to you until they aren't your friend anymore.
When I watched Code Geass at 2013 I asked myself what was my life until that point. I remember begining the 2nd episode already loving this anime with all my heart (I was 17 years old at that time).
Even now, in 2020, Code Geass still the best anime for me. Every single aspect of it speaks to me in so many levels that I can't even explain in words alone.
Please, don't wait this much time to bring our beloved Code Geass back for some more videos in the channel, love your thoughts on it. Always on point.
Cheers from Brazil. All hail Lelouch.

What's my favorite episode of Code Geass?
Yes.
Also, when you mentioned Inoue, I realized I always wanted to follow her storyline, look for her presence throughout the anime, but always ended up forgetting about her.
It's really only a handful of small moments, and then she dies when Zero abandons command. She definitely serves her purpose, but not a super memorable character.
Don't blame either of you for mistaking Shirley for Inoue. Easy to forget Inoue in Code Geass as she was actually in Bleach. Two slender, MC loving orange headed bombshells.
@@BrownLazerMaker777 lol.
CG Ashford academy arc / Shirley arc is really well done imo. They never feel like filler episodes and really serve to humanize Lelouch as well as rest of the CG world
Code Gess R1 episode 20 is very underrated episode imo.
Lulu and Suzaku working together at the end was awesome;
You aren't the first person to say this, but I never enjoyed that episode much personally.
R2 E17 is amazing imo. The meeting between Suzaku and Lelouch is top notch
My personal favorite episode is R2 episode 18, Betrayal. Lelouch believes Nunally was killed by the FLEIJA. He's beyond depressed, he's given up on life itself. His motivation for becoming Zero and embarking on the path of blood is gone. He scolds Rolo, destroys their relationship, however fictitious it may have been.
Meanwhile, Schneizel and Cornelia reveal Zero's identity to the Black Knights, turning them against him. Once he's held at gunpoint, Lelouch intentionally provokes Kallen to side with his would-be executioners, those he lead to prosperity against their mutual foe Britannia. Then, of all people, Rolo saves Lelouch, the man who just denounced him as his brother. Lelouch pleads for Rolo to leave him to die, as he has no reason for living anymore. Rolo refuses, using his Geass to fend off their pursuers, effectively sacrificing himself for his brother, all while pouring his heart out to Lelouch, who didn't hear a word he said due to being frozen in time.
Rolo's sacrifice provides Lelouch with a fresh perspective. He may have lost his sister, but in turn he gained a brother in Rolo. Nunally is perceived dead, the Black Knights have betrayed Zero, and Suzaku can no longer be entrusted as an ally (at least not yet). Lelouch should have no purpose for continuing on in any capacity, and yet he seeks to destroy his rival once and for all, the Emperor of the vaunted and loathed Holy Britannian Empire, his father.
The character development and narrative progression in this 23 minute span is beyond sensational. It's not just my favorite episode of Code Geass, it's my favorite episode of any anime of all-time. As a writer, my goal is to write a story even half as good as Code Geass.
I really can't get enough of hearing you talk about CG, because it just keeps reminding me of how much I love the show. I don't know if I could pin down a single episode like this, as there are so many fun character moments and plots to consider. While far from my favorite episode, I love the episode that establishes Kallen's motivations and her relationship with her mother. It's heart-wrenching and works to deepen Kallen's character, builds our understanding of the situation of the oppressed Japanese populous, and serves as some nice setup for Lelouch's own personal lowest moment with refrain.
Lelouche's whole character development can be defined with one quote "When you stare into the abyss long enough the abyss stares back"
Blood Stained Euphie is my favorite single episode of Anime, period.

Right? I have several favourite moments but never one episode overall, at least not in season 1.
My favorite episode is the one when Lelouch finds out that Suzaku is the guy inside the white frame that gave him SOOOOO much problems. His reaction is priceless! "You shouldn't be here... You should be home with NUNNALLY!"
And the crazy laugh at the end of the episode? Perfect.

To anyone asking: I have talked about Resurrection of Lelouch in a video on the channel titled: The Future of Code Geass. I've seen about 5 comments asking about this already.
Code geass used to be my favourite piece of fiction ever up until a few years ago. Funny thing is, like you, I first watched it when I was 9 and have rewatched it at least 15 times since. I've also never seen anything since then with as solid an ending. It's just really nice seeing someone who has the same passion for the show as I do, and has also probably had a similar experience with it as well. Love your analyses!

I prefer code ment. “WHY ARE YOU BUYING CLOTHES AT THE SOUP STORE”
Code Geass has been my favorite anime of all time ever since I first watched it over 10 years ago. Comedy, drama, action, romance, tragedy, war, strategy, no other show nails all of these elements at such a masterful level.
To me best episode is lelouch slaughtering The elevens. Every characters ideals are put to The test. The horrible lie that we must endure for freedom is so powerfull and delivered perfectly. Its The point we truly see lelouchs burden as The lonely King. And suzaku cracking his code to kill out of hate.
The old dying woman begging zero to save them breaks my heart everytime and seeing The emperor laugh and finnaly agnowledge lelouch as his son. God its just a symphony of heart strings played perfectly making The show in one episode so much more complex and deeper
I actually enjoyed the slice of life episodes and thought it helped to keep the series way more interesting and gave a break from the usual dark depressing episodes. The school festival where Euphy announces the special zone might be my favourite. From the million close calls, lots of character development, and awesome ending it really shows how good this show can be without giant robots hitting each other.
My favorite episode of Code Geass is the sentence "Mao, Never speak again!"
To be honest I really can't find anime that can ever remotely come close to Code Geass the show it put on was just phenomenal and had a very good plot and character, Animes like these are very rare and in this case it is indisputably the best show i have watched this should be the same with other people. If only it hadn't been reduced and if the producers had a little more faith in it the show would have been more widely spread not to discredit it but it will still remain the best show
Yo I agree with you 100%. CG’s my favorite show. If you haven’t you should watch Death note, Steins gate and erased. The endings come close.
@@LDarlong I have watched death note and erased but I'll.give steins gate a try
Sadisticツ Code Geass is a terrible anime!

Shimmi Shanga No, Code Geass is objectively bad, terrible writing, stupid character, ass pulls, plot armor, deus ex machina...
R1 episode 24 was amazing the C.C connection she shows to let lelouch save nunally is insane
Episode 6 first season
A masterpiece
I might seem crazy but i think EP 23 in r2 was probably my all time favorite episode. Mainly for the fact that it was the final stage of the show, the stakes were as high as the skies, and just seeing the 3d chess battle and mixed in with the internal conflict between Lelouch and schiezel always made me get goosebumps, especially near the end of the episode.
I like that episode where Zero predicted the Lancelot’s every move and almost beat him.
Which one was this
Great analysis! I watched Code Geass for the first time back in 2011, and since then, it has become not only my favorite anime of all time, but one of my favorite pieces of media in general. Out of all the anime I’ve seen so far, Code Geass has had the largest impact on my life, because of the very thought provoking moral and philosophical topics that it presents and how much it hit me in the feels as I was watching it. I love everything about this anime from the characters to the story to the flashy mecha battles to the silly slice of life moments, etc. A big reason why Code Geass appeals to a wide variety of viewers, is because of how it blends multiple genres together and makes it work so perfectly. That’s what makes this anime so phenomenal.
I like episode 1 of R2. It's my favorite.
When he goes "Rerouch vi Brittania ga mejiru: Shine!".
So great. 😄
I am so happy I found your channel. Code Geass is the greatest story ever told and I am still shocked that some people either didn't watch it, or didn't have a mind intelligent enough to receive it properly. I'm watching each code Geass video you have now.
Bloodstained Euphie is my absolute favorite episode. It exposes the fact that lelouch finally gave up his anger and revenge by falling for sweet euphie's words of peace, but the good intention turned evil once more per his permanent ocular Geass activating, thus forcing him down the evil path once more against his own will.
Welcome to the channel, Steven. Always great to see someone who appreciates this show as much as it deserves. While I understand your frustration when you hear criticism of Code Geass that reveals the critic clearly didn't pay enough attention( trust me, I understand), I can't condone calling everyone who doesn't share our esteem of this great work less intelligent than us. That's just bad optics, and I don't want the CG fanbase to get a bad reputation. Instead, I try to explain how those bad faith criticisms don't hold up when I come across them, and hopefully change minds.
Bloodstained Euphy is a fantastic choice.
@@KatoBeyond I totally understand. I want to see you do a video on knightmare frame power, strength, and speed. Some kind of battle ranking independent of plot armor or pilot experience. Something like that.

You know as a huge code geass fan and if were thinking 3D chess. I would almost say Kato made this video perfect for people who's interested in the anime and haven't watched it. He really never gave away huge spoilers because there is some pretty over the top episodes so my point is did he pick these favorites episodes because they really are his favorite orrr.....was he out thinking everyone by making it interesting with character breakdown not picking huge spoiler episodes that leaves you on the edge of your seat because to me the single greatest line is Muahhah now your worthy of being called my child now!
I love R2 ep 14 it gets slack but I just love when he has that crazy monologue it just gives me chills everytime, “my funeral offering for Shirley will be rolos life! HE WILL ATONE FOR IT!” Ugh so damn good man
Episode 7 also ends with my favourite scene in the entire show:
Lelouch: I wouldn't have lost if the conditions were equal!
CC: Sore loser, if only you had the power to set the conditions you want
Such a good episode, completely agree with your choice
Zero of the fan rebellion~
Good sponsor btw
Really love the way you talk and your dication and flow its very true to you! A nice video indeed. Thank you!
The thing about Code Geass is that even though it's obviously composed of episodes, the storyline itself isn't really episodic in nature. There are constantly moving pieces that bend and flow from episode to episode. So to me, it's never really made sense to single out any one episode of Code Geass. It feels incomplete on its own. I've also never felt compelled to watch just one random episode, I always watch it from start to finish. I'm more inclined to focus on my favorite specific moments from the series, because I can look at one scene as self-contained in a way I can't with whole episodes.
The furthest I'll go is judging the best overall story arcs. In that regard, there's a clear winner for me, and it would be the final four episodes. As masterful constructed a narrative as I've ever seen.
I think so too.
Code Geass is a fucking gem and should be considered a classic. It's a great series. It's sure as hell not perfect, but what it brings to the table is amazing.
It's great that you keep talking about Code Geass, one of the greats!
"sqhincter-clenching moment" i love it!
I love the festival, especially that scene where Cissil is hitting a student who looks like Lloyd. And Kallen in the Horror house.
On my recent rewatch the episode that stood out to me this time is episode 11. I just love how perfect the pacing is and its honestly the most of a rollercoaster of any of the episodes, the way Lelouch backs Cornelia into a corner she can't escape from and how Suzaku comes in and fucks everything up for him and then you get the real first battle between the Guren and the Lancelot which is honestly the best fight in all of season 1. It doesn't stand alone as its kind of a part 2 to episode 10 but man is it satisfying .
Watching you talk about code geass is my favorite content on yt
I only discovered this anime a few years ago, however, it instantaneously rose to my top 3 anime, if not my favorite. The thrilling intricacies of this show and its incredible tactical and strategic displays and performances are fascinating and engaging. An excellent attribute that you made mention of and that I absolutely love is that Lelouch does not win every fight. Despite his intellect, he is often defeated and even outright humiliated, but always rises again and annihilates his enemies in the end. He takes risks that sometimes pay off and other times cripple him too. All-in-all, although I don't share his incredible intellect, I have found myself thinking scarily similarly to Lelouch on occasion, which leads to a few more of the show's greatest aspects: that Lelouch ultimately achieves his goal, the ethics that drive the characters, and the reflection of Suzaku and Lelouch's individual drives and morals. They did an amazing job showing the emotional tolls and the sheer rage that each of them bore, and it really helped to drive it home for me. Altogether one of my favorite anime ever.
Dude same… I watched it almost 2 years ago now and rewatched it a year ago and already want to again lol my favorite anime for sure, everything you said and a lot more are the many reasons the show has been stuck on my mind since I first discovered it myself. 🙌
"ive been watching since i was 9" yea that must have been traumitizing
Episode 16 made me lose my mind, I think Mao is a great foil to Lelouch, and Lelouches plan that ended up working on Mao was just mind blowing to me, when he reveals that he used Geass on himself, it really made me fall in love with the series
"From this day, From this moment forward, the world belongs to me! Lelouch Vi Britannia commands you: Obey me Subjects! Obey me World!"
All hail Lelouch!
To even mention FMA in the same sentence as Code Geass
I feel the opposite way.
Episode 7 also had the scene with young Lelouch confronting Charles.
Definitly one of the best episodes of the show.
Brooooo I'm like half "This is the best show ever" and I'm half "Fmab is the best show ever" and I'm like AHHHHHH
I'd have to say either episode 2, the last episode, or I think it's the second to last episode where he gives his speech saying he is in control of the entire world.
The Mao eps were the best sequence. They were refreshing and may have helped many people finish R1, who otherwise might not have dropped the show at some point before they were able to reach the final few eps or even care about it. It is akin to the interruption of the Battle City tournament in Yugioh by the Virtual World arc, without it Battle City might not be held in the high regard that it is right now.
I love this anime so bad.. I'm obsessed with it even after completing the whole episode. Can you recommend some anime that just like code geass?
Any of the gundams. Suisei no Gargantia. Maybe Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse or Heavy Object. Maybe Break Blade. Definitely any of the Macross entries.
Avoid Guilty Crown. It's not necessarily bad, but you just can't resist comparing it to Code Geass.

Look up Death Note If you want another anime that is also very suspenseful and a protagonist who uses their intelligence to take over the world.
yungvan attack on titan isn’t like code geass but it’s an exciting masterpiece if you haven’t seen it yet, the final season should be out this year or next year also death note
R1 Episode 16 & R2 episode 20 are my favorite episodes because of the amount of tension both episodes hold along with being episodes that gave me goosebumps and is full of Epic or Badass moments like Lelouch shutting Mao up with his geass or Lelouch’s comeback
As I was waiting for the video to load I was thinking “I really liked that pizza episode, oh but that cat episode was fun” the last time I watched the show was 3 or so years ago and it was some of the only bits I remembered besides the final episode

No questions here. Code Geass is in my Masterpiece collection. Of which there are only 3 TV series, they are (in ascending order): Clone Wars, Death Note, and Code Geass. Meaning Code Geass is the best TV series I have ever experienced.
I don't know how it compares to my Movie Masterpiece Collection, or my Video Game Masterpiece Collection, as these are different media and don't need to be compared. And I could do it with books, but I wont because I hate reading. I've only read about a dozen books in my life. So I do not consider myself a good judge of a book's quality. So I wont try.
I suppose I could try to make a collection of CZcams videos, and while it is true I have saved a few educational psychology science videos for myself so that I always have them to show friends and family incase they get taken down off of the internet, few videos are worth preserving to that degree.
Its more like the music and youtube videos are more like an Apprentice Collection, but won't ever reach the peak of Masterpiece.
Anyway, sorry to ramble. Have a nice day.
Code gears is definitely underrated one of the first “mature” anime I watched and the story and characters were captivating
Great video, loved the bit in the end lol.
Also, I assume we’ll get a part 2 to this for r2. 25, 21 and 8 come straight to mind but the likes of 14 can’t be understated either.
There will definitely be an episode for R2, and chances are good that all four of those episodes will get mentions.
Code Geass is by far my favourite anime. It's just the epitome of perfection.
When lelouch accidentally used geass on yufi that twist hit me different
Your favorite episodes here are my favorite too. The Narita battle, Mao case, Lelouch being guilty because of Shirley, the angst and drama is so delicious... /chef kiss/ 😂
As a series that the character driven and plot driven are balancing (even though the plot was slow because I saw the writers were more focused on the internal conflict rather than external), this series successfully made me emotionally attached and I admit too choosing a favorite eps in Code Geass is hard for me because I love this series as a whole. Definitely my all time favorite anime.
I'm waiting for more your Code Geass content
Well done sir! I truly enjoyed every minute of this video.
I am a recently new fan (about a few years), and I honestly agree with your statements on CG.
I was surprised that this series wasn't higher on the list for anime fans.
However, I loved the scene with the giant pizza. I felt for C.C.
I would say that what hooked me initially to the series started from the initial gas freakout, whenever Lelouch faked the gas bomb and the idea of "Orange" as some menacing secret of Jeremiah Gottwald. It even carried him into R2, which I thought was a great underlying story development.
I look forward to more of your content! :)
Honestly I think the last episode is the best because of how everything just falls into place and you realize how amazing and brilliant he is
For me, the best episode has to be the one where he's going on a date with everyone.
the episodes are all great in their own ways
"Peak anime villain bullshit"
Perfect explanation
my favorite episode of Code geass is when he erases shirleys memory after the mao stuff. him using the geass on shirley was probably the most lellouch was saddened by any of his actions and then end of the episode was perfect with them meeting at the cemetery
That conversation he has with Shirley with her memory erased hits so hard
Kato, this was such a good video.
I first watched Code Geass when it was on adult swim in 2008, and having to wait a week for each one! I never missed an episode when it aired, the wait was torture and they went by so fast. I feel old I was in college then haha. I bought the DVDs as soon as they came out and even ordered a couple Nightmare figures from Japan. It makes me happy that others are newly discovering it now that its streaming and still loving it! - I was always trying to get people to watch again with me, I thought I was a little crazy to watch it so much.
I wish I could experience watching Code Geass for the first time again. I'll guess I will just spread the word even more to share this masterpiece.
My favorite is final of season 1. And final of season 2 takes the second place. But Lelouch taking over the throne will always be my favorite scene. That badass moment broke epicness meter so hard.
it was like my second amine show I ever watched and still hasn't seen anything as superb as this
The episode where lelouch uses the reflection of light in mirrors against his father was badass, but when lelouch used his Geass on Shirley to erase her memory hits hard
Shirley’s death is always so heartbreaking and I always dread it coming on with each rewatch😢
Just finished rewatching it n after this video...I think I'll watch it again!!!!
The last episode is my favourite episode from everything I’ve ever seen.
I really like what you said about how you like analysing stuff because of Code Geass. I think its the same for me. Thanks to Code Geass and Death Note, really. I'm 100% sure those two series, mainly CG, are one of the main reasons I have a major in literature and want to dedicate my life to either analysing or creating art and media.
I just finished watching code Geass and then this is on my startpage
My favorite episode is when lelouch is arguing with Charles and Marianne I just like it the most
For season one I'd say the episode where they save suzaku from execution is up there but it's hard to pick a favorite since there's so many good ones.
Thanks for your videos about code geass
If I had to choose any single episode it would be the final episode.
But the righting is so dang good and the buildup to that point so critical that you can’t really judge it on it’s own.
If I had it pick any other episode it would be either the School Festival, Shirley loosing her memories or the final battle with Schnizel.
These characters are written in such a way that they could be waiting for a bus to arrive and still be some of the best anime.
I watched Code Geass 3 times and it's better with every rewatch
**S2 Episode 13 PURELY due to the Tropicana Team-up between Lelouch and Orange Genius Jeremiah Gottwald**
For me the best moment and maybe the turning point of lelouch character is the episode that makes zero by mistake does a homicide and kills dozens through hus sister. That episode really got me by surprise.
I fundamentally agree that the episode you chose is awesome, but nothing has ever hit me as hard as when I watched Rolo die back in 2013. That will always be my favorite for how the music and the action followed each other so well and the end product still brings me to tears sometimes
Ya know I recently rewatched Code Geass and was so glad I did, because I was far too immature to appreciate everything my first watch through. That and I didn't know there was a second season for a full year, so that was a unique taste of hell to go into watching R2 with. But now that I rewatched it I even managed to get a friend to rewatch it with me, and have another friend potentially interested. Basically I love this show, and thanks for the video.
Ep. 25 of r1 is amazing and the confrontation of lulu and suzaku geeks me out everytime, hearing two of my favorite va go at it just gets me hype.
I completely agree. It's my favorite episode Maybe even including r2, but episode 1 of r2 is also one of my favorites
