  • The RTI Italian Moschetto da Truppe Speciali (TS) rifle I purchased came with the incorrect bolt (6.5 instead of 10.4), so I contacted their customer service to try to get a replacement.

Glad it worked out for you .My impression about RTI , is that in the beginning they were not very good at things . With different channels coming out with unboxing and experiencing different problems RTI is making an effort to correct them , basically they are getting free advertising , so they improve , they get better reviews , they get more sales .

Agreed...they are much better than when they first started selling the Ethiopian guns.

I had an 1895 mannlicher long rifle they sent me with a bulged barrel. I contacted them and they replaced the rifle for me. The one they sent me was really nice. Pretty good customer service for me.

I like to test my rifles with a snap cap. i use a hole punch on some clear vinyl from the hardware store and put that in the primer pocket. just throwin that out there. that way u can see if ur rifle will shoot without putting live ammo in it.

I do the same thing, but unfortunately I don't have any 10.4mm cartridges.

Glad they made it right. I got to meet Stephanie and Shaw in person when I picked up my rifles and they were very nice.

do you have any tips for that funky 2 prong screw forward of the magazine? I don't think I can disassemble mine without getting that out.

Yes, there are a couple of bits in the Wheeler set I just gave away as part of my 1k giveaway that aren't a great fit but can work. One is the Ruger Weaver 777-831 bit and the other is the Mauser 117-997 bit. With some finesse they work, but may need a little filing down/modification. Good luck!

@@usna98 Thanks for the tip, I ended up using my tin snips as kind of a wrench. the blade ends fit into the bolt nice and snug, fortunately the bolt wasn't too tight. took it slow.
