Nose-Breathing Speakers

Speakers who breathe through their nose are actually pretty rare. Here are three examples of speakers who are nose-breathing. Notice the result is usually noisy, effortful and distracting. Obama makes it work only because the formal occasion allows him to speak very deliberately, with long pauses and slow, silent in-breaths. All three speakers resort to mouth-breaths at least twice during their 30-second clip, and they are typically breathing with their mouths when speaking in other contexts-or even in the same video. It took a lot of time, and luck, to find just these three examples. Nose-breathing speakers are hard to find.
