    I really appreciate the effort to explain the technology on the skid ... coupling, torque arm, torsion adjustments etc... This is very useful information. I know you probably have explained it 1000's of times over the different video's but there are always new viewers. Keep up the good work.

    The Full AXYS 137 can add a cargo rack and saddle bags for touring. Also you can get a heavier duty rear coil and with its ability to fine tune, really nail the setup for big riders or cargo weight.

    I wish they had a better bag and GPS solution. At least now you can mount LINQ stuff to the back but the Garmin GPS for the Northeast and Quebec with maps from GPSTrailmasters is awesome. Looking forward to seeing how people like the Indy XC this year. I'm ordering something for 2020 but GPS and Storage options are keeping me in the Skidoo camp.

      I have to agree! The PIDD GPS is useless in northern Maine. And I've showed everyone the difference. But they'll still argue that the PIdd is just as good lol

    MY Good Points is- Helix angel 48/42.36 to beater suite Flat land Riding(0-3000 ft elevation). 52 36 f would have been better... True Cross Country riding conditions Sled. . Lower helix angles should help belt life and pull better past 40 mph. Gearing chart says 22-39 hopefully we'll seen better top end speed and midrange. Gas mileage Hopefully getting better with the rpm's down while cruising in Canada. The front Torque arm and front track angle should allow better float and climbing up on top of snow then trenching. I always had to move the front torque arm up half an inch to get better track angel and moved the rear lower arm back one hole on years gone by skids. way better ride for sure!!
    Love the SEAT!!! Just narrow enough in the front and wide enough in the back for different size riders. . LOVE the Trunk storage!! FINALLY! Love the use of the tools to hold the hood panels on.
    BAD points- Still wish the hood had a hinge to lift open the hood. Wish it came with a mid height windshield, wish it came with graphite slides for low lube snow or icy trail conditions. Wish the dash still had two dual gauges (tach n speedo) loose the techy stuff and make it simpler to use. on the fly i want to see all info big and easy to read. like my truck or old cars. The dash gauge looks cheap like Chinese made. Analog will always look best. Wish it was easier to work on as a garage guy under the engine.

    What happened to the Rush style suspension? The one that had an outboard shock above the regular rear suspension? I thought that was going to be the standard..

    • @propertyguys258
      @propertyguys258 Před 5 lety

      It is the standard, the Indy is the low level sled so it gets the old style suspension... the mountain sled also runs the other suspension because an axys would be useless in powder and idk how well it would work on such an extended tunnel

    Polaris should offer a 4 year warranty with this ol 600 mill like they do with the 850. I'd spring order one in a heartbeat over a skidoo just for the warranty.

  • @thatalaskaguy
    @thatalaskaguy Před 5 lety +3

    I’m confused, in one statement you say it’s the best riding Polaris ever. Then you say if you are bashing bumps and hitting 70’ jumps you’d be better off on the Rush pro-XC skid. Here’s the thing, after 9 years of production Polaris still doesn’t race the Rush pro-XC sled in sno-x which features the exact conditions you say the pro-XC is better at. So, if the pro-XC is so good why’d they come out with the pro-cc and why do they continue to race the 15 year old IQR in sno-x? The IQR uses a conventional skidframe very, very similar to the pro-XC.

    • @thatalaskaguy
      @thatalaskaguy Před 5 lety +3

      Arctic240sx that’s what I’m thinking. I think it is funny how Supertrax is completely silent about this. Oh well, I’m sure next year they will be forth coming in how the uncoupled Rush Pro-XC doesn’t favorably compare to the Indy. It’s things like this that made me stop subscribing to their magazine 6 years ago.

    • @arcticman117
      @arcticman117 Před 5 lety +1

      @@thatalaskaguy From what i've been hearing from local cross country racers that got early models of the pro-cc are stating its a far superior platform in handling and a lot more familiar than the pro-xc system, heck most of the iron dog racers on team polaris are dropping the XCR and switching to the Pro-cc platform

    Dont start telling people and manufacturers we dont need adjustability in the shocks! Remember what ski doo did a few yrs back!! Yeah reason I went with Polaris. Cause Polaris floor model shocks were better then X shocks at one time

  • @calebm.5698
    @calebm.5698 Před 5 lety

    I know it’s how the industry works, but I can’t help noticing that Polaris doesn’t seem to have many original ideas recently. They took the 850 idea from skidoo to compete with the skidoo 850. They took the basic workings of rmotion rear suspension, edited it slightly, and threw it into their rear suspension. Skidoo puts the cooling in the tunnel, and a year later Polaris puts cooling in their tunnel. I’m guessing some sort of Polaris linQ isn’t that far away, and a 900 turbo Polaris will be produced soon. The only thing I can see this sled doing that an MXZ doesn’t do is having much nicer electronic gauges. Just my perspective as a skidoo guy, I’m sure this is still a great snowmobile.
