Lot of live recordings are enhanced and at times parts are recorded again in the studio. It's possible that this is absolutely unaltered. I saw them live in Pittsburgh about 20 yrs ago with Kings X and and Joe Satriani. Truly amazing show..... I remember them kicking a soccer ball back and forth during the show.
It's not awful. Cool mix, raw mix, maybe no overdubs, no remaster, no post production. If you want a polished mix, then you should listen to the studio albums or official live recordings.
