  • It was another action packed day for the trio starting early in the morning with our beautiful Thunder perched on her rock on the historic nest. In flies Koa - circling around and coming in hot! Thunder flies off as Koa lands on the rock and proceeds to the nest. Koa will find a stick and grab it and hover right up in the air carrying the stick and fly out of view. Very cool to see this! The cam op did not follow Koa but it appeared that he may have taken it to his natal nest ♥
Later, Sterling is on the rock at the historic nest when Koa attempts to fly in and they engage & battle with one another with some Kung fu fighting as they both try and display their dominance. Koa flies up in the air and comes right back down & Sterling almost falls over backwards as they fight briefly. Koa flies off and returns again for round three. They engage and Koa flies off again - Sterling is the victor for today.
Akecheta flies in to the natal nest with a fish and then the chase is on! The eaglets rush in and chase Dad for the fish and soar over the cliffs. Two eaglets return - one to the historic nest and the other on the middle tor.
The eaglets are engaging with Thunder & Akecheta and one another more aggressively now as they hone their skills & learn how to survive in the wild. Thank you for watching!
