    The "W" in XCW stand for "Wide Ratio", 1-2 gear are shorter for technical terrain and 4-5 or 5-6 are longer for road or open sections compared to "Close Ratio" that on motocross bikes , Wide range is a typical Enduro bike.

  • @kdxkyle
    @kdxkyle Před 3 lety +15

    You got it backwards. The xcw is their slow single track bike and the xc is pretty much a mx bike with minor tweaks to make it off road friendly.

    Great mini series, 2 - 0 for the 2 strokes, sure hope someday they return to the top step of our sport. New riders on the 4 strokes don't know what they are missing. Supercross would make more sense on a 350 2 stroke, in my opinion, lol..

    AJ, the XC (cross country) would have a semi-close gearbox and be closer to MX gearing than the XC-W (cross country/Wide ratio). XC-W would be more suited to slow and technical single track. You might be a 2 smoker rider at heart ha ha!

  • @TheShift1313
    @TheShift1313 Před 3 lety +1

    Xcw is a slower speed woods bike. No linkage and I think 2020 is the xplore suspension. The xc is basically an sx but a little more woods. So 18in rear. Kick stand. E start and kick etc. On the 4 stroke side they used to make the sxf. Xcf xcfw and excf. I think kym dropped the xcfw cause it was basically the street legal excf.
    Cool thing on the ktm is how adjustable the power is. You want a hard hit toss a red power valve spring in :)

  • @jasonpadgett2288
    @jasonpadgett2288 Před 3 lety +1

    The XC-W is the "trail" bike from KTM but don't let that fool you as it a major choice for extreme off-road plus it has a PDS rear suspension. The XC version is closed course hare scramble type of bike very "moto" related with linkage rear suspension where you won't get that back end kick

    The *US🇺🇲AMA* needs to allow the *250 2-Stroke* to race against the *250 4 -Stroke* at the very least in *Outdoor Motocross*
    *Canada & Australia* was allowing, it would please *2-Stroke* fans it would benefit the racing since you race them different & it would open up different lines.
    But most importantly *2-Strokes* are much cheaper especially to race & maintain. Which would benefit the smaller teams & specially privateers along with the general public
