    You are wrong my friend. The XCW is the same as the EXC, the difference is that the EXC (EXC for 2 stroke and EXC-f for four strokes) is the name for the woods/trail/enduro bike for Europe and other countries and the XCW is the name for the same bike in the USA. I live in Ecuador and we receive the EXC and not the XCW and I have compare them and the specs are the same. I used to have a 2016 KTM 300 EXC 2 stroke which is the same as the XCW in the US.

    • @vegasromaniac
      @vegasromaniac  Před 6 lety

      Right and wrong in the same time, xc and xc-w are really close in spec in USA where xc-f and exc-f, night and day... So maybe where you live the xc-w is exc 2 stroke, but still doesn't change a the fact that exc-f is a pig of a bike

    • @scisneros0
      @scisneros0 Před 6 lety +2

      Ok, I will clarify this a little further.
      For 2 strokes: XC almost identical to XCW/EXC except having links and no street legal goodies (as lights, etc). Same gearin, same motor, and stiffer suspension on the XC.
      For 4 strokes: XCF radically different to the XCW/EXC. It is similar to the SX with a little shorter 1st and 2nd gear, and plusher suspension than the SX. Still a very racy bike, not for woods or trail. I don´t like it for enduros.
      Hope we are starting to agree my friend.... :) I have a channel you can look but it is in spanish. It is called MOTOEXTREMA... take a look at it once in a while, and thanks for your videos as whell.

  • @YardenRides
    @YardenRides Před 6 lety +2

    I love my 250sxf for trails and tight sections its just such a fun bike. Once I got the suspension sorted out and changed the front sprocket it was a whole different animal. I would of probably preferred a 350sxf for more power on hill climbs but obviously thats just the rider. But a lot of people ride sxf models off-road because they're cheaper to buy.

    • @vegasromaniac
      @vegasromaniac  Před 6 lety

      yeah but imagine, riding a 250xc , proper gear box, wide range, 6 speed, estart, same power, more grunt down low. if you love your SX, than imagine the XC !

    • @noirxplorer3185
      @noirxplorer3185 Před 4 lety

      You're not riding heavy technical tight single track. If you are you're on the wrong bike. You're only hurting your abilities. SX stands for super cross. XC cross country.

    • @noirxplorer3185
      @noirxplorer3185 Před 4 lety

      @@RAD_Family it is useless unless you ride track. In comparison to the others, its crazy to have supercross bike on single track. You couldn't keep up with anyone on enduros. But if you ride track and that's all you have, I get it. But theres literally people who buy SX, that dont know any better. They love jumps and flat dirt. That's it.

    I really disagree about the transmission thing at the end. I have a 17 250xc and there is no compliant with the transmission. 1st gear is a little high but it gets you moving quickly without wheel spin and the rest of it is perfectly spaced for the engine. And 6th gear, well I've had the bike for 8 months and I haven't ever found a spot where I could hold it wide and wished it could go faster.

    Thank you very much my friend because you have gave me a really clear answer i have been looking for in the past Month.
    I'm new to dirt bike and got the SXF 350, i like the bike a lot but i felt like there's something wrong with it because i felt it's a little torquey no matter how much i try to be smooth with the clutch until i reached the point where i that i felt riding my GSXR 600 feels easier than it and now i know the reason.
    I really appreciate your info please keep macking this kind of content 👌🏾

    Nice vid, but have you tried the 2018 or 2017 EXC-F? whether standard edition or Six Days edition? I don't know why you talk about being a "pig" of a bike. It is almost as light as a 2018 Honda CRF 230F I have which I love for trails. Cheers! (only 3.5 hours put down the 2018 6 days, 350 and feels really light almost like the Honda but with so much more power and not as monstrous as a 450 SX-F which I really didn't like that much, but was very interesting to ride it on a tour for 3 days).

  • @iD4v1d
    @iD4v1d Před 6 lety +1

    I don't know if I agree with the description of the EXC, it has the same suspension, gearbox and engine (choked down by emissions equipment, but pretty much everyone takes that off as soon as they buy the bike) as an XC-W, and the lights don't add that much weight, so it's basically just as capable as an XC-W. Here in Europe most people ride street legal enduro bikes with headlights in serious terrain and they do just fine.

    • @vegasromaniac
      @vegasromaniac  Před 6 lety +1

      just pull up the ktm usa website and you will see what im talking about, its heavy, and the head of the motor is detuned , so you are getting 3/4 of the bike for more money ! trust me once you know what to look for , the 2 dont compare !

    I’m riding a 2006 250sx in the woods and it’s horrible! Yes it’s amazing at hill climbs and wide open stuff because that’s what it’s made for! Suspension is rock hard and I get tossed around unless I’m hitting rocks at 50mph then it starts to work. I’m selling for a cross country racing woods bike. For those reading this, sell your KX’s(f) crfr, yz(f) rm(z) and get a cross country racing bike. Track bikes are too powerful for wood racing

      They are supposed to be great, smooth (except for the 540) engines. The big gripe from reviews then were, you guessed it- suspension. The last year there was a 500 class in motorcross, they even let the 550 run with the other manufacturers 500s, thinking that even more power was not an advantage..

      @vegasromaniac  Před 6 lety

      well you need fuel to ride ... only ktm does that shit, dry weight :D its 260 ready to ride ... plue every one of them i saw has bags on the side so it;s like 300 pounds :D

    • @loopduplicate
      @loopduplicate Před 6 lety +1

      Gas weighs 6.2lbs a gallon. So a little over 2 gallons is about 15lbs. So, wet on my US model ends up around 255lbs fully filled up. I have no saddlebags. You were wrong about the weight in the video, nowhere near 300 lbs, no big deal, but just admit it, maniac punk!
      Anyway, just checked my service manual for the 2016 XCF-W and 2016 EXC-F and here's what it lists:
      EXC-F (EU/AUS/BR, Six Days): 238 lbs
      EXC-F (US model): 241.4 lbs
      XCF-W (All models): 236.3 lbs
      I downloaded the owner's manual for the other 350 cc KTMs from 2016:
      SX-F (EU): 220.5 lbs
      SX-F (US): 223.5 lbs
      XC-F (US): 225.8 lbs
      These are all dry weights. Comparing wet weights of bikes doesn't make much sense usually because different bikes can have different sized tanks.
