Yes, loved that video. Brought back wonderful memories of my short time on Clark Air Base back in Mar-Apr '89. Great to see the hospital with all the buzzing activity when it was 'alive' and functioning. Also, impressed to see the nice base housing; good air force living back then.

Grabe! I still can't imagine the full extent of Clark's beauty back then. Tumira kami sa Pinecourt street malapit sa likod ng chapel 1 after malipat ng unit ng tatay ko from old CABCOM Dau to Clark housing area, pioneer silang PAF personnel na nagtake over sa mga naiwan ng USAF. I'd say it was the most beautiful place I've ever been to kahit ilang dekada na ring nilisan ng mga kano ang military facility, grabe ang future proofing ng mga kano.

Anong year kayong tumira sa Cabcom? Every weekend nandoon ako noon. We rode the cart hitched to the carabao going on base through mabalacat gate. Trumpo ang tawag nila. Isa sa mga magsasaka ang tatay ko doon.

Looking back on what you had as a newly married couple reminds me that many of us started a marriage with a tiny apartment and a few furnishings that we were proud of at the time. The local handicrafts and handmade furniture were ubiquitous there. Our family's furnishings, as yours may have been, were left there when we were evacuated from Clark at the time of the volcano.

My filipina wife father started as a cook there in 1967 to 1990?. My wife was born in 1988 in mabalacat. Her mother would tell me stories of going to the base Commissary, PX and library. She tell me, "this is what USA must be like"? She loved how the streets were so clean and the grass so green. It was so sad after the base had closed. In 2016 I had lived in anglese City. My father being Air Force and we were living between March and Norton AFB in CA. I was always so curious to see what is left of old Cark. Seeing old base houseing what it was in 2016 was sad to see.
