Met my wife there in 88, were still together, lived there for 5 yrs, loved everything about P.I.miss the bars, the yanks, n old friends, a lot gone, no mobiles then, just memories.
Lived in Angeles City from 1985 to 1990. Didn't know that the construction of Chicago Hotel started in 1988, when this video was taken. Brass Knob right across wasn't even there yet. The landmarks of our time were all in this video--- Didi's, Sky Trax, Shanghai resto, Balibago supermarket, Top Ten Hits record bar (after the small bridge and before reaching Sta. Maria church) and the numerous bars (DMZ, Shamrock, Murphy's, Big Apple, Owl's Nest, Susie's Hideaway, Hobo bar). Good thing your husband took a video and thanks for sharing!
hello I am new from Thailand I like to watch all of your uploads that are really interesting. your buildings are quite same as the building in Thailand. I'll where to watch the next upload again thank you for sharing such a good video bye-bye
I was there 87-91. I always felt sorry for the animals. Especially those horses. They looked so miserable and exhausted thirsty with foam dripping from their mouths. It was sad.
Cool.. I've been along Fields Ave many many times these last 15 years. NOTHING in your video still stands. Bad building standards etc.. it's all different now. Curtis 54, retired Navy. (Thailand is better for me.. SAFER x 10)
I was there 88-91, good times!

Thanks for posting, nice trip down memory lane. The Shanghai restaurant was one of our favorites. Was there 1976 to 1979.
