    Tons of athletes are moving out of Olympic village and checked into hotels, due to lack of AC, proper beds and food etc .
    Why suspend her ?

      Her situation isn't comparable to some athletes being allowed by their teams to move out of the Olympic village due to the poor or inadequate accommodations. She broke the rules by going out for a night on the town with her boyfriend behind the teams back, which is strictly against the teams rules. She mad a poor decision, and needs to start behaving like an adult and take some responsibility for her actions.

      I think he got permission but not her and as a result he got a warning because he knowingly hung out with another athlete who broke the rules. She was ok to leave but she knew to folks protocol but didn’t according to her team. If she couldn’t reach anyone, she shouldn’t have left. This is definitely her own mistake.

    This is what happened to Lochte and the rest of the team. They were out drunk, celebrating their Gold medal, then got into an altercation with a civilian...it was dumb. They were told when first arriving to stay on the grounds. But they didn't want to listen and had to be punished.

    When your traveling and staying in a hotel on your countries dime it’s like your working & you have to follow the rules, they do this in college sports as well, the team is not allowed to leave the hotel while traveling or to drink before events or they could be disciplined & not allowed to play

      Ego, sound like one was apologetic and the other one turn up the brat attitude.     Well, she and the boyfriend just wanted to enjoy the free time. The Olympic committee should have made it clear to stay in the Olympic Village until the competition in the swimming events was over. I don't get why site seeing while on some free time is not allowed. Do you have to stay there to support all the other events?? or practice? What are the rules. Stay in the compound until the Olympics are over! I guess.

      Why judge other people intelligence on this, especially when they were correct and you have no idea what you are talking about.
      This is BOC statement regarding this:
