- My 2,103rd kite video. Light breezes are common at this time of year, and luckily we have kites that will fly in them.
Anyone wanting to check out all my "How to..." videos on various aspects of kite-flying can now find them all easily on my Playlist at / jimskitesnz .
An outstanding display Jim and Peter. Nice job on the double winged box kite!
Thanks, Hal. Yes, Peter did very well with that big box kite.
A delightful light wind collection, looking so striking in that clear blue sky!
That Tiger Rokakku got my attention when you mentioned the magic word, "inexpensive'. ;-)
I've had the Tiger a long time. It came from one of the sellers on AliExpress, but I can't find it there anymore.
Nice video Jim. Great looking display. Beautiful day. Peters Box kite steals the show. Thanks Jim!
Thanks, Dewey. You're right about that box kite - he did a great job.
Another FUN day at the beach. An interesting selection of kites.
Glad you enjoyed it, Jim.
Another nice mix of kites with Peter. Enjoyed seeing the special eagle conyne again. May the good flying weather continue.
I hope it continues until you get up here again, Carl. Don't leave it too long!
Loved the display Jim. That box kite is so cool, Ron
Yes, he did a great job with that, Ron. He's a clever guy.
Very nice display Jim...love those box kite designs....
Peter's big box is extra good, as it needs very little wind to fly, in contrast to most box kites.
Peter's red delta has a sort of 'time tunnel' draw-you-in effect. Cool. I am lucky enough to have bought a Krah Krah ( pre owned from Allan P). Lovely kite. Flew it the w/e.
The Tiger Rok is very effective. Like it !
Another good fly-in Jim. Long may they continue !!!!!!
Good to know you got the Krah Krah and that your weather has improved enough to allow some flying. I'm sure that kite would have had very little use, probably only the once for his video and review. I usually keep mine for low winds, as it flaps horribly when the wind is stronger, although it still flies.
Flying kites in such winds is very enjoyable, as long as the kites stay in the air. It is very enjoyable for low wind kites to fly stably.
Delta Conyne and Rokaku look beautiful, even beautiful. I also loved Delta Conyne.
I haven't been here for a long time. I will report the developments.
I'm happy to hear from you again, Mustafa. I have often wondered how you are doing.
Nice! 👍
I'm glad that you enjoyed it, Evan.
A celebration of aerial geometric forms.
We've been able to put on a few displays lately, Glenn, but the weather is changing now and I guess winter will soon be upon us.
@@JimNicholls get it in while you can, Jim.
Doing my best, Glenn!
So only large kites can fly in light breezes?
No, but often large kites are best as they have a bigger area in relation to weight and so produce more lift in less wind. However, some small, light kites can fly very well in a light breeze
