Hey I have a question about a big gun tfi power box fuel controller I just bought, on the website it said it was for a yfz 450r 2015+ but when it came in the paper it inside the package said for a 2015-16 but I have a yfz 450r 2021, would it still work ?

Iv got a 2015 raptor 700r with a twin Evo R exhaust,it’s running rich & on very odd occasion it cuts out,or when you let of throttle it sounds like it want to cut out,so wanted one of these but from a lot of comments people say how it puts a check engine light on & how it stalls the bike a lot or stops it from starting,once you plug this in do you need to get a tune & flash it on to the PC 5 ?

I have a K&N air filter big gun exhaust and the power box you don’t have to do any tuning the power box comes pre-tuned for your vehicle and you just have to have the big gun exhaust and the power box make sure u get both tho no tuning needed already come ready and tuned

any tips on how to connect this on a 2017 Sportsman Touring 1000? I can only get to one connection. Its impossible to make any more connections without ripping off the side air box thats siliconed and sealed.
i have the same machine and am thinking about getting this. did u figure out a away to install the other connection?
@@tpike46w yes. I took the rubber inlets off so I can get in there. That’s the only way
Yeah I got the other side on the cylinder head by using a screwdriver to hold it a flat head screwdriver and I was able to pry it on a little bit at a time

There are 6 modes in the Power Box for your unit. All have their own unique setting. Check out this link for instructions for your model:

Where can someone go to get tune specs for certain rigs? Went to Big gun web site and there contact page! Cant even see what your typing!!! Need a tune for a 2009 Mud Pro 700! Getting A lot of popping and backfire! Big Gun really needs to fix the Contact part of there Site!!!!

We recommend always properly tuning even with a slip on. You don't want to run too lean too long... Lean usually equates to your motor running hotter than normal. You don't necessarily need to get our tuner but we do suggest getting some sort of fuel programmer.
@@BigGunExhaust i have a 2017 raptor 700r SE I cannot get the map correct. I am having great difficulty! I have dual big gun exhaust I just installed. Got power commander 5 plus the auto tuner an the digital display screen had the O2 sensor welded on, hooked it all up went on test run, like 16 miles. Noticed when I got back my exhaust right at the bend coming off the head, was glowing red!! can u suggest something??!
Looking at a used 2008 polaris sportsman 800 with your Eco exhaust on it, do I need one of these controllers to make the bike run correctly? I see lots of people on here asking for help so not sure if this is the right company, or if I should scrap that exhaust and hunt for stock if I pick up the bike, hate to see her burn up...

@@dantejohnson1787 I did not, the salesman forgot about me... even dropped the price way down,, I asked some questions about the mods, told him it needed control box or else would run lean and cause engine damage then they stopped replying to me, so it likely did not have the controller, just the exhaust ...
Bought a 1999 Arctic Cat 500 in mint shape and happy, it can go through some pretty deep snow... few upgrades...
Shoot! Bought a used sportsman 800 with full exhaust and controller just can't find base settings. Seems to be not set right and burning fuel way to fast!
@@dantejohnson1787 that was part of the reason was not interested.. if getting around 11mpg, that may be typical for that model.. I will stick to 1 lunger getting 30...
I have this installed on my Polaris 850 xp with k&n air filter with big gun slip on exhaust an when my atv is cold it smokes preety bad. I’d love to know what I should do.
Turn the fuel down in the lower rpm modes, the smoke is because of too much fuel

No help at all...
None of that makes sense what so ever. U need a dyno to test if u are making more power or not. Wtf is this bullshit. Why cant u make a chip that is dyno tested for each mod u have and matched to that chip to give u the most hp through testing you already did?. I dont trust this company its a rip off. Why cant u just add fuel and timing throughout the rpm range and give 8hp. Wtf man this is confusing and dumb. U will never know if u gained more hp. Its only going to give u 5hp at most and u wont be able to tell if its in your head or not.
