    TO BE CLEAR: the issues and frustration I am having with some of my mods really come down to getting the wrong offset for the rims. That is what caused many of my issues and why I am installing spacers. Thanks for watching, let's talk about it!

      So did you end up keeping the rims or getting more offset rims? I’m getting nators for my xmr also and I think I’m going to run my stock rims, 2019 xmr 1000 outty. I’m hoping to clear with some trimming on rear. Any input? Thanks bud, love the videos!

      @@maxcasey6262 I ended up keep this setup all last season. This season i switched to a 0mm offset rim and 8.5 wide motohavocs. If you do 0mm or stock rims with 8 inch wide tires you'll be fine. Height is another issue.

      Man I’m having a similar issue...I have a 2020 renegade xmr 570. I put on 14/7 inch 5+2 offset/system 3 wheels & 29.5/8/14 Assassinators all around.
      Well..now my front ended up a bit wider than the rear.
      Well, I thought I measured right and ordered one inch spacers for the rear...yeah that didn’t work haha, to wide.
      So I picked my brain, and used a measuring tape and measured straight from the center H frame “protected by the skids” because it’s the same width from front to rear; from the H frame through the wheel “to the outside of the wheel”, and I have exactly A measly 1/4 inch more of width in the front than I do the rear...
      What the hell do I do??? Haha
      Should I really worry about that??

      Did you have to put longer studs on, for the 2 inch spacers, because i went to go put mine on yesterday and i can only get the bolt on about 3 or 4 turns, not very tight so i was wondering how far are your bolts on in the spacer?

    We put spacers on my wife's arctic cat mudpro. She loves how stable it made the 4 wheeler, but the problem is that she is now closer to the sxs wheel base.she is 54" width. The sxs ruts are deeper due to the bigger tires and lifts. So with her stock clearance of 14" isn't enough and she will get stuck when everyone doesn't. It was way better when she was at stock width of 50". So now if we go mudding we take them off, rock climbing we put them on. Real pain,but I do it for her. 😆

    I went straight to the 2" spacers on my 2019 Outlander 1000 xmr with the stock incripted 30s" and they rub the can-am oem aluminum foot skids so I took them off. I can't decide weather to cut them back or get a 4" portal lift. Even if I got a set off offset wheels I think it would just rub worse. Me personally I love the look and feel with the 2"spacers and the rubbing on the floor skids is the only problem I've had so far.

    I'm curious why spacers are designed the way they are, what with all the extra holes and lugs to attach spacer to hub, then wheel to spacer. Why not just have spacers with simple straight through holes, and use a set of appropriately longer lugs, so that the lug goes all the way through wheel spacer and hub. This would simplify their manufacture, and could somewhat solve the torqueing difficulties too.

    There is no difference in terms of using spacers vs aftermarket offset rims..... unless one of the options brings the wheel out further than the other option. Going outwards 2” per wheel/tire is the exact same stress wether it’s on an offset rim or by using a spacer.

    • @MainvilleATV
      @MainvilleATV  Před 5 lety

      Agreed in that sense. Although you run the risk of improperly balance cheap materials, poor workmanship, possible torque issues on twice the studs etc. Theres more issues with them when you could just get the rim. Thanks for watching!

    • @beri232
      @beri232 Před 5 lety

      Mainville ATV and Outdoors true.... all spacers are not created equal and the correct offset wheels will always be optimal however, a quality machined spacer is also good and does not add additional stress to the wheel bearings..... unless they are pushing the wheels out further than the wheels. The spacers I bought also came with metric 12.9 grade lugs.... better than an imperial grade 8 (sold with the Highlifter spacers). Still a good option for guys that don’t want to spend extra on rims or are happy with their factory wheels, as I am.
