Did you like the mower, there all nice when there new!!! What were your likes and Dislikes???? Pro's cons. Didn't let me know anything other then you demo'd the mower for 5days.
It's a nice smooth ride, very comfortable. Almost makes you want to get out there and mow. The cut quality is very good, but I felt like my Scag Turf Tiger lays better stripes. It may help if I tried different blades. I also like the build quality on the Ferris. It's heavy duty all around.
Appears to be a good mower.......however, if I'm going to spend that amount of money it better be rated for more than a 15 degree slope (all lapbar mowers). Cub Cadet's Proz commercial mowers with All Wheel Steering can mow up to a 25 degree slope. We need Ferris, Scag, Exmark, Deere, Toro to step up their game. Thank you for the video.
I don't have too many steep hills or ditches where I live. I also run a Scag Turf Tiger that has a low center of gravity. I've seen the Cub Cadet you're talking about. It's impressive!
My IS3200Z DFI engine fuel injector cuts out and sometimes stops! Dealer said I need to change engine at $3,000! No warranty. Only 163 hours. Any help?
That's a good question. I really liked the mower and wish I didn't have to give it back after the demo. I'm not up to speed on mower prices in the used market, unfortunately.
Honest question. Why does this 3200 have a 37 HP motor with the a 61" deck and the 800 has about 10 HP less with a 61" deck. I'm looking around to buy a different mower and I've been offered a new 800 for $7500 or a 3200 with 300 hours on it for 8500. I'm thinking on going with the new 800 unless someone can give me a good reason to buy a used 3200. I have also been offered a 3100 with 100 hours on it for $8500.
I just had my Ferris IS3200Z mower delivered. The oil guard system is great, but my dealer is recommending that my first oil change be done after 100 hours, then go to the 500 hour cycle, even with the synthetic oil. Makes sense to me, but I was wondering what everyone else has experienced?
That's a great question. I recall talking to a sales rep about that and they said the 500 hour mark is fine for the first one. I personally would do it sooner, just because.
It should be somewhere visible without searching too hard. I only tested this mower for a few weeks, so unfortunately I'm not sure. Maybe under the seat somewhere or around it? Let me know how it goes, I'm curious where it's at.
Hear me out, screw how much the damn thing is, I ran over a fucking metal bar and it bent the living shit out of it and I checked the blades and they were untouched. This is the best lawn mower ever.
markthomasbuilder I noticed the tread pattern looks different than others. I believe Gravely now uses radial tires & the Spartan mower uses radial. Both of those have a different looking tread pattern. Of course radial tires offering 'sidewall flex' should help stability on slopes. Ferris has that patented suspension which appears to work better than all others including Bad Boy & Spartan. That being said, I own a Kubota. Hey.!!.. I'm happy, but fascinated with a car suspension on a lawnmower👍👍
A “demo” means that you show us how to use it. That means starting it, releasing the parking brake, engaging the blades….that’s what I was hoping for.
Sorry about that. My idea of a demo was geared for lawn pros familiar with zero turns.

The oil guard is also available on other mower brands . It’s more of a Vanguard feature and not a Ferris. I saw one on the Spartan Mowers as well.

The main differences in the 2 units is the 3200 will have 2 fuel tanks and larger hydro gear wheel motors, (more ground speed)

6 qts of oil and a filter is cheap compared to a damaged engine. CHANGE THE OIL !!!!

Are those tires Radial or Bias-Ply??
Sorry, I'm not sure. The suspension does an amazing job, so it's hard to tell if the tires are stiff or not.
