Contemptuous
In this video Dr. Shrikant has talked about the rubric Contemptuous. It means showing contempt towards something that you dislike or disapprove of. Contempt is manifesting, feeling or expressing deep hatred or disapproval, scornful.
They feel the topic which they don’t like is worthless, and there is constant criticism of others. They get irritated that why did the other person bring up this topic.
The 3 mark remedies in this rubric are : Cicuta and Platina .
In Cicuta there is disguit towards others and there is a feeling of mistrust. They don't like human mankind and feel that humans do so many idiotic things. There is a lot of egotism and confounding of past and present - The patient starts to behave like a small child and they will start playing with toys etc.
Platina : In platina there is a superiority complex, and they look down upon others and criticise them. Dr Shrikant shares a case example of the same. Along with this there is intense sexuality seen in platina.
Sub Rubrics :
* Contemptuous of everything - PLAT, China, Cina, Ipec
China criticises others and feels that: I am the best, I don't need to do anything, what I learnt is enough, there is a sense of fulfilment which comes sooner to them. And they are very critical of criticism.
Ipecac- Along with a feeling of contemptuous they feel that what they like everybody should like.
* Contemptuous towards self - Agnus Castus and Copaiva
Agnus Castus - Because of overuse of sexual organs, they feel I am not worthy anymore and it's good that I die. I am worthless. They can't register anything in their mind.
Copaiva- Copaiva has disguit towards themselves but they are scared of death. There is fear of death along with loathing of death
