Thanks for watching our couple's channel! Join us as we travel through Europe with our van or drive from the U.S. to Costa Rica in our school bus. We can't wait to share the journey of buying land in Costa Rica and building our dream house with you. Subscribe to follow our journey!
Great conservation work however worth explaining that the term “Laird” in Scotland just means landowner. It does not mean Lord or Lady, which are Titles of nobility and are arbitrated in the Court Of The Lord Lyon King Of Arms. Also buying a souvenir plot of land, which is what these 1ft square plots are, cannot be registered with the Land Registry in Scotland and therefore are not legally owned by the purchaser.
We are all completely aware of your points. It’s just a bit of fun at the end of the day. As long as it isn’t used to defraud or deceive somebody then we can call ourselves anything we like in the United Kingdom. Nobody thinks that they have purchased a noble title or even a piece of land. We are fully aware of what we are buying and we are happy to support the conservation work. Chill out a little. If you don’t like it then simply move on by.
This is so interesting! I've been to Scotland a tonne and knew the coniferous forest weren't indigenous but never new why they were now so prevalent. Really great to see Scotland's vegetation getting back to it's 'roots'! Loving this UK leg of your journeys :)
Hey Jane & Tarzan 😊Scotland looks so amazing, glad you're having a wonderful time! You're going to absolutely LOVE "Outlander" it's the most romantical, beautiful, magical series EVER Enjoy!! Lots of love x
I was in Scotland earlier this year and I was so confused why they had taken down so many trees but this makes sense! Thank you for sharing!!!!
I'm definitely going to buy some in one of the Ireland packages. This is so cool it exists. I'm grateful you two made this video. Thank you. 😀
Appreciate you both sharing your adventures! 10 years of watching you both, and it's all very inspiring :)
Yeah Sitka spruce are native to the Pacific coast of Alaska down to northern California. It's named after the community of Sitka in southern Alaska, which means "People on the Outside of Baranof Island" in Tlingit. Native Americans in the area like to use it to make baskets, rain hats, caulking, and for medicinal purposes.
Similar story to what happened to the native trees in regard to the takeover of the Sitka spruce is what's been happening to native trees in Argentina's Tierra del Fuego. Beavers were introduced to Tierra del Fuego by the Argentine government in 1946 because they thought it was a good idea to import nearly 50 beavers into a lake shared by it and Chile called Lake Cami to create a fur trade industry. But like other plans of the Argentine government, it did horrendously. Though the industry failed to materialize, this importation's had dire consequences for the region. They have no natural predators there, and they didn't ship any bears to counter them. So the beavers have been destroying long-protected trees, and they threaten six million hectares. Unlike trees in North America, these trees don't regenerate when destroyed.
Incredible view, nature, everything, so relaxing.
Just found your vlog, wow what a great thing to do, buying a small plot to encourage and support the conservation project. Beautiful monastery. Thankyou for sharing, guess I now need to subscribe.💚
Great job guys! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful Monastery and the lovely conservation work. I know a few people who have some land, and such good cause. Enjoy x
Get your brollies ☔️😊
Scotland is my home and I feel so so grateful to live in such a beautiful country! I just love it with my whole heart ❤
You guys are doing some awesome things!! So good to see it! 👏👏
Lord Louis and Lady Raya thank you for sharing this wonderful experience. As I always said your short videos of exploration has been innovative.

Loved this video. Such a beautiful country and great conservation work there.
Beautiful!! I’m so envious. Enjoy yourselves :)
Awwww so sweet of Louis to carry Raya across the bog!
OMG I'm getting everyone this for christmas!!!!! This is by far the best partner video ever, so informative and such a good cause!!!
We stayed at St Benedict’s Abbey when we were in the Highlands! It’s so nice. We have family that owns one of the apartments and lives there part time. We also saw the steam train come across the viaduct and it was awesome! I highly recommend both.
Lovely vlog you guys. Absolutely stunning! ❤️
Slàinte mhath! Cheers! What a beautiful video, it has so much meaning behind. Loved to know more about the Highland Titles, I will for sure help the organization. I really enjoyed this UK-trip! Stay save, Raya & Louis, and thank you for showing us so much kindness in the world!
Hi guys! That is so cool! I love your channel and look forward to seeing more adventures like this!
Thank you so much! ☺️
Another great adventure! Is is so nice that in Scotland they are doing such great work!
I love that they are preserving the Scottish wild life. I’m going to look into buying a bit of land. One day it’s my dream to own a bigger patch of land in Scotland, but for now a small bit will do. A good way to manifest a larger bit in the future.
My father-in-love is of Scottish ancestry and we purchased a lot (and title) for my parents-in-love for their 50th anniversary 😊. PS…loved the piggy-bog ride
My sister bought this for me and my husband. Love learning more about the program.
Scotland is such a beautiful country and I love that bath tub as well 😍
Lady Raya and Lord Louis, what a fun thing ! I love that !!! Congratulations !!! 💕💕💕💕
I love you two so much. So thankful to have found you and your amazing videos!!
Guys! I live in Scotland and I'm so grateful that you are sharing a bit more about the conservation work here:). It's so important to educate!
Great information ☺️🌲🌳🌱
The part of Scotland that is in this video is beautiful, me and my parents go quite a bit for holidays. Scotland is just an amazing part of the world to visit.
What an amazing place. The wild cat is just beautiful. I think another trip to Scotland is due in 2023. We love Scotland as we haven't been there for a few decades. I need to purchase a piece of land for my husband, he'll think it's the dogs do dahs! Hugs Wiltshire
My grandmother that I never got to meet was from Scotland. beautiful to see what it's like
What a great video. Started my day perfectly watching this x
Absolutely gorgeous…..it’s on my bucket list!🌸🌸🌸
What an awesome concept!
I got my dad land here as a gift for his birthday! It’s such a fantastic concept 🙌🏼! Born and raised in Scotland and so proud to be Scottish 🏴🥰
So proud to be Scottish, thank you for showing everyone it’s beauty 🏴
That was a seriously awesome video!
What a beautiful video, loved it all. The UK indeed is so very beautiful! Thank you for sharing this.
Beautiful area, would love to travel there sometime. Might buy my son a piece of land for Christmas. Thank you for suggesting it and the link.
You are not buying any land, it is just a scam.
That's so cool my Lord and my Lady🙂Such a great cause too!! ❤️ 🥰🥰🌲
Haha thank you! ❤️
If you get to go back and do the Glenfinnan Viaduct trail, stay at the Glenfinnan House Hotel within walking distance to the train and trail with the best full Scottish breakfast we've ever experienced, also next to Harry Potter filming locations! Cheers!
Thank you so very much for this wonderful Christmas gift idea! Simply perfect for many of my family members. Just purchased 6 lots as gifts. And this comment to you is my first comment ever on CZcams, even tho I’m 57 yrs old. Have been too intimidated to leave comments due to my traumatic brain injury 8 yrs ago. It’s growth and progress! You see, I was you 3 decades ago. World traveler for a decade. Cheers to you both and Happy Holidays! -Kimberkai
Great video! x
Oh I love Fort Augustus. I’ve spent many hours sitting by the locks watching the boats passing through. I’ve spent this summer working part time transferring West Highland Way walkers up and down Glen Coe. I watched for you van for most of August.
We bought land a few years back too! This is so fun to see and learn more about it. I'm also part Scottish and hope to visit someday. :)
Beautiful place for sure! Gorgeous room! Thank you for sharing!! 👍❣❣❤❣❣👍
I’ve been a ‘Lady’ through Highland Titles for 6 years. So fun to tell people about it and conservation. You can also follow what’s going on on their socials.
Duh, you are not titled after buying this land. Technically you don’t own any land since the land registry office doesn’t recognize the purchase of 1 square foot. They are ripping you off!
Gorgeous views ( my homeland ) not been back for a while 🙏Hope next year .
Scotland has so much Beauty .
I’ve done this before as a gift … brilliant ❤
Love your channel. You both have big hearts. 🙂
Scotland looks beautiful, it’s the weather I cannot be sure of 😊
Congrats!!!🇧🇬🏴🇬🇧👍
I had briefly heard of this and am thankful to see a full video about it. We love Scotland and have had amazing adventures there. This is an incredible project; very excited about supporting it. So fun planting a tree - will take pictures of yours when we get over there again!! Thanks for sharing!!
What an incredible project and it will make an awesome gift…
I have a static holiday home in Lochgoilhead , the Loch , mountains, Forrest & beach is breathtaking
Guys have a great time up here.
so beautiful great information
It’s so funny that I can subtlety tell the difference between who edited which video and I know that Louie edited this video
U
Beautiful Scotland 🏴
You don't always have to book the train. they keep some tickets back for on the day sales, just go to the train station in Fort William
Scotland is the best. Gorgeous views and great people🏴
Beautiful
We're in that part of the world. Next time go half hour further to Camusdarach beach overlooking Eigg Island. Truly stunning at sunset.
Of to Orkney this week can't wait especially for a bit of shooting/field sports
This was awesome! I bought one square foot and bought another for a gift.
What a great present for hubby. We bought him land in Scotland too so he’s now a Lord. We’re actually going to visit this in just over a week from 🇦🇺. Ours is just outside Dunfermline where my great grandparents lived before emigrating to Australia. Great idea guys.
Hate to break it to you but Highlandtitles is a scam.
You don’t own the land and you don’t get the title, all these companies are scams.
Scotland is my homeland, currently living in England as it’s just where life took me but this makes me miss home even more. The beauty is otherworldly, I may be bias tho ;)
I was born & bred in Scotland too, then moved to England in 1979 - I do miss the rolling mountains!
Louise you are one lucky man! Raya is so beautiful and full of energy. She gives so much positive vibes all the time :)
😊👍
You both are just the loveliest ❤❤
Thank you so much! ❤️
Wow! What a kitchen!
❤ awesome 🎉
I want to get one of those Land Titles for my family for christmas. I've been thinking about it for a couple years and I'm just going to go for it!
They are scams, they mean nothing and you don’t own the land.
A Heilan Coo!
I purchased land here a month ago and I have NEVER been to Scotland. So excited to see this and thank you 🙏🏽
You did not purchase land, that isn’t how it works, you got sold what is known as a souvenir plot, you do not own the land.
@@conorstewart2214 I know , thanx for input
That hotel apartment is nuts beautiful! It would be once in a lifetime opportunity to stay there!
Ahhh I’m gutted! I enjoyed this van series but I feel like you guys didn’t film much or visit as many places as I’d hoped?!
That's a bed suitable for a Lord and Lady well done.😁
Hello L&R I'm only @ thread 6 on this vid, and would like to inform you what top scientist and biologists are saying about extinction. They predict that 20 years from now 75% of living creatures will be gone. As an ole man of 75 I felt like informing you as to plan your future for yourselves and your future family. Maybe collecting rain water in Costa Rica would be a fine plan! Good wishes for all your travels amazing humans that you are!
Love this episode, very educational. Will stop using the slug pellets.
U are so beautifully blessed.i would love nothing more in life than to live somewhere Green in Scotland
Love you guys. Great sweatshirt at the beginning Raya!
Thank you!! I love it ☺️
If you can’t get on the steam train then take the normal train in the afternoon. You get the same experience less the steam still very enjoyable.
There is a Her Ladyship mug in Stephanie Jarvis’s latest vlogue on her Chateaux Diaries! Am I the only one who notices things like that?
I did notice certainly 😊
epic, epic, epic, your use of the word epic is just epic
Brilliant 👏 am in Scotland its not good weather here just now..x
How big is the site? Have they managed to acquire a good amount of land?
Happy to say, my ancestry is Scottish too. What a stunning country. Think I might have to treat myself to a plot. 🥰💙 Ps thanks for sharing your Scottish adventure with us. 🤗
Anytime you see any other guest, you have to bow and say M’Lord or M’Lady because they actually are haha
Defo gotta do the north coast 500 around there 👍 x
I'm an American and very proud to be a descendent of Scottish Clan Carmichael's immigrants who arrived in North Carolina and branched out to other southern states. I got so excited from your video that I went to the website and bought 5 square feet! I can't stop smiling. It's a wonderful project and honors my ancestral homeland...and yes, I feel just a bit more Scottish.
Badgers are rare to see where I live now used to be loads as a child but cars and slug pellets definitely ruined them! Used to always see them in the ally at night and in the day ran over sadly.
My husband and I are also owners of land near Aberdeen since last year. I bought him (and me) the title of Lord and Lady for his birthday because I thought it was funny+the amazing job they're doing. We are from North Spain and we always talk about going to visit our land there 💚💚💚
You do not own any land. It is just a souvenir plot that essentially means nothing, you do not own it and you do not get a title. It is essentially a scam.
@@conorstewart2214 No way! Really?!... I thought that by just getting a subscription on a website I automatically was becoming the owner of a piece of land in another country!... 🤷🏻♀️ 😂
Don't you think we know that we are not owners or lords? It's not a scam, obviously you can't buy a piece of land by putting your mail and PayPal on a website. They explicitly say that it's symbolic and it lasts for a year. It's just a funny way to help the environment. We also collaborate with similar organizations but this one has a funny twist on top of the work they do and we are happy to help in any way we can. 😊
I think people just did not get it. It is helping and fun. @@SweetSallyRadio
Merci! You both bring such light to my day!
Thanks Becky! ☺️
Estate manager there what a job would love to do that ,could just get lost all day love it
How costly is it to stay at the Highland Abbey?🌸🌸🌸
