Amazing, I am so excited about the series! 🥗🥙🥦🧄🍅
it is the endless debate between Devon and Cornwall, my take on it is always cream first, because on the warm scone, the cream melts and it is divine !!
Really cool concept good vibes love how you guys are able to make so much content on one trip. Great planning
Thank you!! ❤️
Happy to see you guys
Love this new series 🙂
Great series! Made me want to try vegan options! So cool, keep up the good work 🥰
Thank you!
Jam and then cream for the scones. Soggie chips with fish is also traditional in South Africa, we called it slup chips
I’m so jealous! Everything looked great. The pot pie looks incredible.
LOVE that you are doing this! I am so looking forward to your other episodes around the world - especially Costa Rica! I have always wondered - what are some of your fav restaurants with vegan options around the world? I'm going to Thailand soon so that would be my vote for the next country but not sure when you are going to go there again.
Ohh I would love to do an episode in Thailand! Not sure when we’ll be in Asia next but hopefully soon ☺️
The chicken leek puff pastry dish sounds so good and definitely a comfort food.
Delish!!
I saw you guys in the Greenwood Tree in Lyndhurst on the outskirts of the NewForest in the summer. Their vegan cream tea is the best and totally unique. Always pop in there staff re always friendly and welcoming.
Wow!! I need to go to the Queen Inn next time I’m in the UK. Looks amazing!!! Thank you for sharing all the amazing vegan places you visit!! We plan to do vanlife in the UK and EU eventually so I’m definitely making a list! 😂 😋
Love the capture of the VW bus going down the road. Traveling for food is the best life!
This was so fun, thanks!
Thanks Mel! ☺️❤️
So excited for this series! Have never even seen vegan fish and chips before 😆
Cwmbran is a Town not a Village… it’s translation is Valley of the crows. CYMRU AM BYTH 🏴 The Queens Inn is my local, glad you enjoyed.
Always love a good vegan food Vlog, thanks! 👍
That chicjen and leek pie looked so delicious! I would love to try and make it.
Love this episode of food in the UK & hidden gem
Crunchy!
Awesome video! Everything looked so good, especially those scones 🤤 😋 Would love to see you try some vegan food from Mexico!
Yes cream then jam. Yum yum yum. I love scones.
Great video! I want to try the chicken and leek pie.
Thanks Emily! If you’re ever passing through Wales, it’s a must!
I'm all for crunchy chips too :) Love the new logo. You are inspiring me to have more vegan food and consider going vegan! Thank you very much for sharing, as always. Sending all my love from Singapore 💕
Haha still so confused who would choose ‘soggy’ 😂
Ooh I love this new feature!!! Absolutely loved all your comments, expressions and selection. Thanks for doing this for us. I loved seeing the Juicy Marbles texture and live vicariously through you. Do you know the brand the salmon was? It looked really legit.
Thank you! Oh I’m not sure actually, I should find out!
My mouths salivating.
I'd put the cream on first.
Aldi do a battered salt and vinegar fish finger kind of thing and I love it as I loved fish finger sandwiches 🥪 😋 😍
Love this video
just curious, what are most of those vegan meat/fish options made of? is it mostly soy products?
The shrimpz are made by ZeaStar
They also make vegan sashimi tuna and salon
I seen the world through you. thank you ..
Lyndhurst is a really lovely place, great shops and food. But for me its jam first then the cream the Cornish way 👍
Crunchy all the way!
never had a saveloy but I do know what it is from the Oliver Twist musical "Food glorious food" song. Used to have a tea towel with the lyrics on it haha
Dear Lord & Lady McGregor

Crunchy chip absolutely!
Wales is the only country in the British Isles that we haven't visited. We must some day!
Crunchy 😊
Has to be 'soggy' chips for me......xx
Crunchy for sure. I'm the same way with cereal lol I can't let it get soggy 😂
If/when you head back to London, try the to’fish and chips at Unity Diner. It’s amazing!! Crunchy and yummy!!
Ohh thanks for the recommendation!
This all looks delish! If you go to India for vegan food it would be game over.
Please educate me, I’m truly confused as to why vegans want to eat something that taste like fish or meat, is it cause your body craves it, or because you miss it? I’m an omnivore. Mainly veggies, and starch however I do still eat meat when it’s around. I’m just curious as to why so many dishes are made to taste like meat or fish or cheese. Love your channel!
Always jam first!!!!!! Oh my goodness 😮
Can I ask a follow up to last week’s question, is there any particular vegan food you don’t like ? Was the fish today Seitan?
Saw you guys at Vegan Campout this year. You guys should check out Norwich at some point, there so many 100% vegan places for such a small city 🌱
I looked up a recipe for vegan fish and chips, and it was made with hearts of palm as a substitute for the fish. The vegan steak is likely made from wheat gluten or a textured soy protein. I'd be curious to see if you could find great vegan dining in Germany, which has a cuisine that's known to be meat centric.
Ugh 🙄 guys!! I’m vegan (from the UK) and I’m travelling at the moment (actually in Costa Rica in a few weeks), but THIS VIDEO has made me miss the U.K. vegan options sooo much 😭 we really are spoiled for choice. THANK YOU for sharing this with the world and highlighting how delicious food can be without the cruelty ❤ It’s so important to share this and you did it extremely well.
In Australia we call black tea ; English breakfast tea when ordering in a cafes.
Jamaican Rastafarian vegan ital food next!
Well I guess I have to go to the UK now for some vegan fish and chips!!!! I die for vegan food yummm
Definitely crunchy chips!
Thank you for sharing lovely souls! You should check out Mean & Green in East London, they do incredible vegan food. :) xxxxxxxxxxx
#jamfirst cream teams are amazing! Peppercorn sauce is my favourite!
Am uk, I would of done jam then cream 🤣🤣 have fun 💕
Crunchy fries for sure!
I live in Cornwall but eat cream first, which is the Devon way. 😄 Ps That puff pie looked so good. 😍
Oh my Gosh. That was a surprise. I grew up in Cwmbran. 🏴
Live in London now. If you're ever in London try a fabulous vegan restaurant called Morgan and Watson in Crystal Palace. It's superb. 🍆🥦🌶️🥕🍄
Gotta go you’ve made me hungry 😅
I am a crunchy kinda girl!! 😋😋 Not being Vegan some of textures look odd to me but everything looked so delicious!! 😋😋😋😋
Cream first, then jam!
Crunchy chips all the way!
I need to try this 🤤 Do you know what the best bit is? You don't have to worry about fish bones 😁
I would do cream first as well 😊
I am planning to visit London in few months, please let me know your favorite vegan places there 💚🙏💚
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tasty 🤤 and the 🐟🐟🐟 get to stay in the 🌊 Wanna visit Brighton just for this. #veganfuture #subscribed
Yess! Thank you ☺️❤️
Soggy chips alllll the way

I would do cream then jam
Crunchy chips for sure 😅
LEEK is in the Allium family but Leak is like in a faucet! Please fix - my name is LEEK I promise I know!!
Definitely crunchy chips.
You can't forget you're eating real fish and chips in Brighton, the seagulls will remind you.
I'm curious to know when you become pregnant if you will go back to meat for iron or if you may crave it?
There’s tons of vegan iron sources! I’ve been reading a lot and speaking to nutritionist in preparation and there’s no need. So excited to share a vegan pregnancy when the time comes ☺️❤️
@@RayaandLouis thankyou for sharing ❤️
I think i speak on behalf of the British population when I say that the 'sandwich technique' is not how one eats a scone!
Yum! Love that us vegans have more and more options as the years go by! Anything you can eat, I can eat, vegan! And if you can eat a vegan version, that's delicious and satisfying, then you should! :)
Yess!! We want to share this new series to she everyone that you can easily enjoy traditional cultural food on your travels without compromising your ethics ☺️ excited to continue trying new foods around the world!
@@RayaandLouisabsolutely!
Devon cream first, then jam. Cornwall, jam then cream. I think Devon is undoubtedly better because cream on top coats the taste buds with fat and you can't taste the jam! That aside, Raya you needed double the amount of cream and about 50% more jam for a true cream tea experience... It's about indulgence, not breakfast style toast 😉
Crunchy fries all the way Raya, sorry Louis
Chicken and LEAK pie? 😂 I prefer my pies not to leak personally
The food at the queens was amazing before the vegan menu. 2 mins from me every week used to eat there. Not sure I would like vegan food I love my meaty fatty food. Maybe need a go at it.
🥰🇨🇦
Crunchy fries 1,000%!
Americans despise mushy fries. You want it crispy on the outside with a little bit of give on the inside.
Yes!! Is it an American thing? Surely it’s a human thing 😂
team cream
Food additives most likely.
Probably is real fish theses days you can't trust the labels
Your making me hungry 😒
same
The food looks good, but why try to imitate non-vegan food. It's just a different food with a different taste. There should not be food like the non-vegan. The materials are different and therefore it is something else.
Why compare it to non-vegan food. How it can also be delicious. Both are different types of food.
WOW I can't believe the amount of comments about why vegans want to eat food that tastes like meat! Veganism is an ETHICAL CHOICE, not a diet. We just want to cut out the animal suffering, not particular flavours or textures. What about asking meat eaters why they want to eat meat that's shaped like a vegetable? 😅 Most meat doesn't look like a dead animal, yet that's what it is...
Great video but I’m begging Raya to pull her hair up at the beach!! She looks great. She looks like she’s hot with her hair down;)
I watch your channel but don't get the whole vegan lifestyle not for me sorry that fish you guys were eating looked very bizarre to me 😉
Fish isn't vegan! Fish is an animal species.
This isn’t made from fish, it’s a vegan fish alternative ☺️✌🏼
@@RayaandLouis There is no reason to mention "fish" when fish aren't included as an actual ingredient.
If your vegan why do you want your food to taste like meat. 🧐
I believe it's because they're still curious of the flavor, but they don't want to harm animals.
Many of us are vegan for animal rights, not because we don’t like the flavors. However, we understand that our tastebuds are not more important than the animals right to this life and body autonomy. I’m not speaking for Raya and Louis, but offering my perspective as a vegan for the last 11 years.
Couldn’t have said it better Rachelle!
If your still “curious” of the flavor that means you really want to eat that little fishy. I only eat meat mainly so I don’t understand the thought process of wanting to eat basically beans and rice that looks like meat. That’s what poor people have done in the past cause they can’t afford meat.
come on don't be negative about it.
Love The vids keep it up!
I don't understand why vegans still need to eat food that tastes and smells of meat/fish.
The reason we (and many others) are vegan is because of ethics. We don’t feel that our preferences or taste buds warrant killing innocent creatures. However, it doesn’t mean we didn’t enjoy the taste of certain foods from before we were vegan (and especially cultural foods like these that Louis grew up with) so we’re grateful for these options to help us relive childhood memories or to give us a chance to try local traditional foods as we travel ☺️❤️
@@RayaandLouis Fair enough!
If you are vegan why do you want it to taste like meat 🍖???
Vegans like the taste of meat… just not the suffering and cruelty that comes with it. Therefore plant based alternatives are a win win.
Yes! Exactly ☺️
Is this the route you two are going down with the channel now?.... Less about the travel and experience throughout the day itself and just pushing vegan food hard into the viewers faces..?
