Just watched the Kannada dubbed version of this movie on Prime. And I must admit, I fell in love with this masterpiece. Amazing direction, superb acting by Dulqueer and Mrinal and hats off to the story writer for coming up with an outstanding plot. The music and the background score are mesmerising as well. Feeling bad for not watching this in the theatres and i do not know why the kannada version was not marketed well. The box office collection of 92cr doesn't do any justice. It deserved much more

@@npm6598 Even Kantara was never marketed oustide Karnataka. It was never meant to be a pan India movie and the makers never thought about dubbing in in other languages. But the way the people of Karnataka received the movie and gave good publicity through word of mouth, just made everyone turn back and take notice. This made way for dubbed versions of the movie. I believe something similar could have been done by Telugu audience

Watched this movie in the kannada version on Prime. Absolutely loved this movie. DQ and MT killed it with their expressions and acting. They have essayed their roles to perfection. The chemistry between them is too good. Hats off to the director for this masterpiece of a movie. An absolute cult classic. Highly regret for not watching it in the threatres. One of the most underrated movies in the history Indian cinema
