Someday I want to switch up the mirrors on here so I haven’t fully committed to these ones but yes I agree, white would look really good! I’ve gotten used to seeing the gold though 😆

I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE WHITE PAINTED BUMPERS AND THE WHITE PAINTED ROOF TOP TO ACTUALLY MAKE IT LOOK OLDER THAN IT IS.
I HAVE A 1998 GMC HIGH TOP SAFARI CONVERSION VAN. THE PAINT JOB SUCKS. IT'S CRAZED AND THE DECALS ARE FADING AND PEELING. I TRULY HATE THE SHINY SPARKLY FIBERGLASS BUMPER WRAPAROUNDS. I CAN'T AFFORD AND DON'T WANT THE ADDED WEIGHT OF CHROME BUMPERS. I THINK I CAN HANDLE THIS PAINT JOB ON MY OWN WITH MY SOCIAL SECURITY INCOME....... MAYBE.
THE PRESENTATION WAS COOL AND VERY ENJOYABLE ONE VAN BUILD I DIDN'T JUST LEAVE RUNNING AS I WALKED AWAY TO DO OTHER THINGS I PAUSED IT EACH TIME AND CAME BACK TO IT.

Okay the fact that you have a built civic ek tells me you're probably no stranger to car mods, hence van life which nobody wants to admit is just a car mod. Dude, I'm glad you upgraded from a Honda, and got the proper amount of cylinders a car should have, but you're in a chevy now, so you have to get an LS swap.
Best mods for G20 vans (my favorite vans of all time):
L92 or L94 6.2L V8 with stock 403 hp and 417 lbs ft of torque, transfer case, and the 6 speed automatic that comes with it
Front independent differential from a silverado Tahoe or suburban
Rear locking differential
Nissan Leaf battery modules + BMS board and inverter (book coming out on that later) 🔋⚡🔌
Gas, or diesel air and water espar heater (You have to tie it into your rear auxiliary heating system from the original van conversion for clean aesthetic otherwise you're screwed) 🌡🌬❄
No lift, but full front, and rear air springs
Thanks for watching the video and I definitely see a lot of aspects of car modding carrying into van life. I do still have the Civic, and I have other plans for that car, mainly to get it back to racing again. I've thought about using the van to tow it to the track and so definitely I've considered an LS swap. Thanks for the tips for modding the van, that'll help! In the next video, I've lowered the front down, but I'll have to raise it up a tad. My plans for the van as of now are to get it to a point where I can atleast enjoy it on local or short trips and then build from there.

@@boomboomtisk will do man, thanks! Today I got super lucky and scored a round headlight grill off a 74' that just showed up at my local junkyard. Got it with the bezels for $50 and I'm seeing just the grill going for $300-$600 on ebay! Had to tell someone lol I'm stoked
@@IanJesting whoa that’s rad!! That’s the best looking grille on these vans👌 be sure to do some research before the install since there will be some differences between the late model and early model style grilles but hopefully it all goes well🙏
@@boomboomtisk yeah no doubt a good look on these vans! I had already seen a few videos on how to convert as I love the round headlights. It'll take some work, but definitely should be worth it.
My montero was in a fender bender first week I had it (bad brakes) and I made all new mounting points for the front of the passenger fender, headlight, grill because the core support got smashed. I fixed it to where everything looks factory (on the outside haha)
Luckily I enjoy that kind of work 😁

Those rims are Rally's and POP when adding new beauty rings and Center Caps in conjunction with painting the wheels body Color🤕
Yeah I’ve just about lost all the trim rings but one, so I’m do for a new set haha, I did get around to cleaning and polishing the center caps a bit. Would love to throw on some thin whitewalls to finish it off👍

Thank you! The captain chair in the back isn't bolted down yet but I might get around to doing that sometime in the near future. Also will add a seatbelt with it for more passenger space. Check the bolts on the dog house cover, mine were missing when I first got my van. Since I've added bolts, no heat comes from there anymore 👍
