  • I'm starting the electrical installation in my bus!
In this video I show how I installed the 240v shore power inlet in the side of the bus.
The one I am using is the CMS inlet. The CMS system is a kind of plug and play system for 240v wiring. Each inlet / power point has the wiring already built in, and they are connected to each other by means of special cables with plugs attached.

Great that you're sharing the conversion journey :) ... a tip to help with the costs :: have you considered signing up as an amazon affiliate, you can then add links to the components you use in your build ;) & you get a percentage from each purchase. All the best

I actually tried that in the beginning but Amazon cancelled my account because I wasn't selling anything! I don't personally buy much from Amazon, and I will not recommend products that I don't love myself, or sellers that I haven't personally bought from, so it isn't really that useful to me. I mostly buy things on ebay instead and I do have a few affiliate links on there.

I know you're not looking for "expert" input, and you've already knocked a hole in your bus, but mainly power inlets are on the driver's side so they don't interfere with awnings and annexs. Otherwise it's in a great spot.

Yeah I put mine on this side because it is close to where the rest of my electrical setup is and I also wanted it somewhere that I could access from inside later on if I needed to. I won't be having an annexe and probably not even an awning so won't bother me 😊
