#Xenoblade #Combat #Guide - Hry
Hello there, my name is Gabriel and I play the character of young Noah in Xenoblade 3. It's AWESOME to see my character, to actually hear my voice and, to see the finished product! It's been an absolute privilege to be involved in this and it's VERY exciting to see everything come together in this way.
It's a great game! Thank you for your work.
You did a fantastic job my guy. I haven’t gotten too far but your voice in cutscenes has been fantastic.
Amazing job! 👏 I greatly enjoyed the flashbacks segments
Every VA in this game absolutely killed it! You did great too, of course.
You really sell Noah.
How did I know that the first thing I would see was going to be Eunie dual guns
I've been playing defensively so that I can get chain attack on stronger enemies right before they die and get a bunch of exp and cp since I end up killing the enemies too fast to initiate a chain attack and I can't do any art combos because I'm trying to train specific classes. The moment I used dual gun eunie despite having all offensive skills deactivated, my damage substantially increased and it became significantly more difficult to not kill monsters that were 9+ levels above me before chain attacking. I've got 40 hours in this game and I can easily tell she's broken af with dual guns.
it was astonishing opening the heroes menu and seeing that s rank on the mf dual guns with eunie
Because what else would it be?
Honestly. Yeah
@@misterzia01 Just started the game. Good to know
this man loves speedrunning so much, he even speedruns making guides, the goat 🙌
He has a certain repeated rythm to his script reading and editing, you can skip to any part of the video and it'd sound the same.
bros already level 74💀
I can tell you one thing I’m positively sure of this Dude does not sleep lmfao
Yeah, must be awesome to have no life
@@Ghoats you can do it too. Just leave all your friends, then you can play all day all night long alone in your room!
12 hours after release Enel is already level 74 and making guides
What a damn hero
Nah he definitely bought it off the Japanese e shop and got it 9 hours early and still hadn't slept
@@jstar3382 nah, he got the game when it leaked online, probably been playing for a few days now lol
@@slimslendey3945 yeah that too
@@slimslendey3945 I prefer believing he gets an intense agility buff whenever he's playing as Dual Guns Eunie and that helped.
I mean, it is technically possible to get game sooner if you're on good terms with gaming store manager, I got Pokemon Sword physical copy like 3 days before release.
Game just came out and man’s already mastered the combat. Enel’s too cracked for us mere mortals
He probably got the game early to have more time to analize the combat or he Damn CRAZY and play more than 24h without a rest on lunch day
@@gtx21 I expect he did get an early copy but even so he definitely figured out the intricacies of the combat really quick
@@brandonhughes4076 he did analyze it a lot already from earlier trailers
@@ashketchup7354 yeah he anal-yzed it, haha
The more I play with the classes, the more it feels like a combination of classes from X and blades from 2. Your class dictates half your arts, your auto attack string, and your role in combat like in 2, but leveling them up let's you use the arts with other classes and teaches you equippable skills. I'm really enjoying this system so far.
I’m abt halfway through XC1 do I need to play 2 to understand the plot?
@@korok7523
No
@@zaxtonhong3958 k
@@korok7523 no, but you'd probably get more out of 3 if you watched maybe a plot summary of 2
@@korok7523 A little late, but only the ending of 2 required knowledge from one to fully appreciate, I suspect that will be a similar story to thing game.
I think it’s really cool how for one side they implement aspects of Xenoblade 1, and for the other they implement combat from Xenoblade 2!
It even feels like there’s some little touches of X
@@themonkeyman2910 yeah and some touchitouch from your mother, too!
One thing I love the fact they left in one is that most bosses don’t have minions
After just starting the game yesterday like most people, I must say it's good to hear you eventually learn to cancel arts into other arts because not being able to has gotten old very quickly.
Agreed
Honestly, the entire lead up to the level 10 boss fight is just progressively more boring, frustrating and borderline condescending... And then everything gets batshit crazy fun all at once
Wasn't that possible in part 2? I could've sworn it was.
@@stripedrajang3571 it was, hence we sorely missed it at the start of the game lol
Agreed. Definitely preferring Xenoblade 2 combat so far.
Finally a guide for mastering this game. Even if I'm 20 hours in nothing beats the feeling of absolutely destroying a boss with mastering the combat
"Finally"!? It's day one you mad lad
@@alastormedial should've been dropped hour one imo
@@alastormedial day 3 for me, I got an early copy. Also it was meant to be slightly sarcastic considering the sheer speed he made this guide at lol

Looking forward to all your future guides, your Xenoblade 1 and 2 guides where really helpful for me!
"For healers, placing ring effects, using heals and buffs can recharge."
I'm not very far right now so maybe this changes later on, but at least early on healing doesn't actually charge healer role actions; it must be placing ring effects, buffs, removing debuffs, or raising fallen allies.
yup. healing doesn't do anything but simply heal. no benefit to make me want to play a healer. I can say this confidently after 50 hours, i ONLY play a healer in boss fights or super tough unique enemies I am under-leveled for (I play on hard) where the AI can't comprehend how to heal effectively, ultimately leaving it up to myself to do it right
@@Infamous159 This is also me. I just can't trust the AI to effectively keep everyone, including themselves, topped up in hard fights.
Yup. DPS talent arts charge using positionals. Healers charge placing down buff zones. Tanks charge by... getting threat and doing stuff? Not gonna lie, Zephyr is my favorite early class because it's so busy, and for whatever reason I can spam the hell out of the talent art.
@@Willias same! I love that class. :)
@@Infamous159 I just picked up the game yesterday and I'm already struggling with this. In the beginning it seemed like the healers at least had the wherewithal to stand next to the tanks to heal them, but after unlocking the full party and class changing it seems like the healers just...drift away somewhere during fights. I can't tell if the fights are just getting harder and they cant keep up the healing or if I'm doing something wrong and causing them to mess up.
I love the combat so far, though the only thing I truly miss from XB2 is the ability to flick the control stick to speed up auto attacking. After sinking in 100s of hours with XB2, it just feels so weirdly passive to be forced into waiting for an auto attack to happen. Other than that minor issue, I'm loving it.
Yea I made sure to tell all my friends to unlearn stutter stepping, it turns into a big detriment in this game lol. Luckily in my case I only rarely used it since at the endgame and optimised builds stutter stepping just wasn't really optimal for typical combat, so it didn't interfere too much for me, but it was still jarring to screw up my timings cuz I was expecting a new auto attack to come out lol
It's so weird to get used to again. Maybe that's why I have been subconsciously been playing Mio's class the most
I dislike that it’s not completely like XC1 cause you can’t attack while moving. I think that’s why the dashes are a thing.
@@anonymouss1270 glad its not like 1
Haste and double attack gems, which imo are more satisfying than auto attack stick thing tbh. I miss being able to attack while moving though
I kind of wish the game told you what the class actions for healers were before letting you dequip Power Ring.
I was starting to wonder why Eunie was falling behind on healing; it was in part because one of her healing arts was charging veeery slowly.
I love these guide sooo much, all discussion online is about the story and lore, but I'm all about those sweet mechanics
I already loved your in-depth XC 2 videos as they helped me a ton. This is exactly what I needed to help me prep myself when the game finally arrives. Excited to see more stuff from you.
Also one thing I noticed is that when a Kevesi Ouroboros is active, the heat gauge is blue. And when an Agnian Ouroboros is active, the heat gauge is yellow. But both turn red when they start overheating.
Love you enel! Thanks for your hard work! The game doesn't really explain daze + burst vs launch + smash, but you helped out a lot. I'm so looking forward to learning from you
Looking forward to all your content for Xenoblade 3! Your guides are always super informative and useful for all levels of Xenoblade players.
I have been waiting on this. All of your guides are always helpful.
Thanks for the video! You helped me realize I can use master arts on their own and not just when interlinked with regular arts. What a game changer! When you first get access to master arts, the tutorials all focus on interlinks, so they don’t explicitly say that you can use them with the d-pad. In retrospect, this is all obvious given the ui layout, but I missed it because I didn’t know any better. It feels like a bit of an oversight to not have a tip on this, given how detailed the combat tips can get in this game. But I’m glad I figured this out relatively early, right before unlocking my 2nd master art slot.
I have been waiting for this since the game was announced! I love all your videos!!
Thank you Enel can't wait to see your future videos.
Man, I'm so fucking excited to finally be playing 3 and I'm loving every second, but I'm also super excited to finally have a new game for you, Luxin, and the other Xenoblade CZcamsrs to make videos about!
Finally, some Enel gameplay. Have yet to unlock Chain attacks and Interlinking, and you're telling me one is big enough to deserve its own video? This game really does keep on giving.
Enel the goat blessing us with a guide 12 hours into release. I wouldn't be as big a xeno fan without you. Thank you my friend
Learning the combat system can be overwhelming but you did an amazing job explaining it and making it very clear 👌🏼
Really thorough thanks. More useful than a few other guides I watched
You know there's something special when 17 minutes fly by and you were watching a combat tutorial from a jrpg. Great work Enel!
You can cancel normal arts into fusion arts. Fusion arts are a sort of wild card with the talent art being the only art that ends a cancel chain
You are a blessing to this community! I needed something like this.
Thanks! This is by far my favorite xenoblade yet. They really did a great job and I'm digging the story and vibe of this one
LET'S GOOOOOOO
I'm getting the game at the end of next month, but I'll watch every single one of your new guides to be more than prepared before jumping into Aionios. Oh, and thanks for the great content :)
Let's goooooo!! Honestly, dude, I can't even begin to tell you how much your guides helped me with some of the other games, especially XC2. Looking forward to seeing what you and this game end up putting together :P
Thank you King, looking forward to watching build videos from you
Thanks for the guide mate, can't wait for the chain attack one as it's so different from previous games, really enjoying the game so far. Keep up the great work
The good thing about Xenoblade 3 is even if we tend to forgot how things work, there is always tutorial and training drills that can be revisited anytime. Unlike in Xenoblade 2 where all these are only shown once and cannot be revisited from menu.
It's gonna be so nice when the guides come out for this game. I was able to finish Definitive Edition a week before this game came out because of you and noticed that I missed a lot of things the game either doesn't tell you about or was just worded weirdly so I'm hyped to finish for the tutorials and trying to mid max waayyyy too early
Great guide Enel. Looking forward to more.
I cant thank you enough for taking the time to avoid spoilers in the menus, you are godsend.
The interesting thing to note about Xenoblade is how it took a lot of mechanics from MMOs to single player. In MMOs you have your positions / auto attack timing etc... If you ever played an MMO it is pretty easy to jump into the combat of Xenoblade.
Yeah! I agree! This game is very mmo-like and having played hours of ffxiv. I said :0 im in my element now.
Granted I think Xenoblade helped me retroactively understand FFXiV combat as I play mainly Tank.
Then used that to help with xeno 3.
@@zephyrias This game makes me wish tanking in FFXIV were a bit more involved. But I found most fun in my tanking experience to be dueling my friends in MSQ roulette for Ultima's aggro, so maybe it's just me.
@@SuperDdall lmao 🤣 in msq i just derp around and poke fun of cid’s slow ahh.
Yeah i like to fight over the aggro as well. Usually if the other tank takes it first then I go wack-a-mole until ultima says: sike! U out.
😂 also as tank (pally), i just find it fun to beat up on enemies. Tho I’ve been using other classes like Red mage and samurai, and blue mage for fun too when with Guildmates.
Tldr: tanking is fun, especially early game when I was learning. Ppl were surprised I was new to tanking. They were all nice once I mentioned I was new. I just try to be aware of enemies and such I mentally go into auto-atk pattern.
There are times: 👀 im a sprout 🌱 tank, now returner, and I dont kno what i’m doing half the time. 🤣 like that bird following the tank memes.
While I was tanking early game, Ive seen people mention as tank, I do a good job and actually use the skills you need to survive with limited/capped movesets. “Or tank that actually listens to help/advice!?”
Once I got a person who was rude and wanted to zip/aggro everything as a dps class. :/ they died a few times.
👀 “slow down lemme aggro. Its my one job.” 😂 the other party members was a vet and a newbie too. They were mad as to why I wasnt using high lvl skills: 🥲 bruh i beat msq, yet I need to reach the next section to unlock more skills.
I agree with 1, but after that first one Xenoblade is it's own thing. Like the only similarities is cooldowns and auto attacks. The amount of switching and the fast pace of even 2 and my god this one makes it much more of a reaction type thing than most mmos. I'm just saying by the end of both 2 and 3 there's much less cool down management than in am MMO. I'm not far into 3 yet, but in 2 nothing was ever on cooldown once you got to the end because you'd just switch blades
@@SuperDdall this is a bit of a broken record response, but Unironically tanking is much more involved in savage and ultimate (and extreme to a degree). Normal content is pretty much entirely designed that a tank that stands still and presses buttons occasionally is more than sufficient. The difference between the requirements on tanks from normal to savage is staggering; if you want to poke your nose into more engaging tank gameplay, I recommend trying out something harder.
This game's combat is ridiculously fun from what I've played so far. The seemingly endless possibilities make me so excited to see what else this game has to offer. Awesome guide as well :)
idk. seems like more auto battles like xbc 1 & 2.
@@Captain_Chaz86 I’m not really far into the game but I also feel like auto attack makes the combat a bit boring as well. I just stand there and barely do anything while waiting for my arts to recharge so I can click to use them then wait for them to recharge again. Hopefully the combat gets more fun and interactive.
@@johnxiong6983 If auto attacks are the issue try using the gem where it speeds up auto attacks or give you a chance to attack twice. Or maybe switch out the arts that have a long cooldown. Also play the Agnian classes if you want more spamming
I can’t wait to experiment with the different classes. Gives me the same excitement as trying out a new blade in 2!
Looking forward to watching this once I get to play a bit and after trying to figure stuff out for myself
One small tip I'd give is to be careful about what classes are assigned to each interlink pair. It killed me a few times as I accidentally had no healers when I became an ouroboros
I will definitely be keeping an eye out for your XC3 guides!
My single complaint so far between what I experienced last night and what this guide shows is that I can't seem to order my allies to focus the same target until I unlock the Tactics menu. This should have been a pretty basic function from the get go and it makes getting attacked by multiple enemies a pain in the ass when I can't get everyone to take down the stragglers first and then it takes longer than it should to kill even a single target.
This was my exact complaint. I was on hard mode for a while until I decided to switch to normal because my party members would always change to attacking the new monsters that join the battle instead of focusing on one at a time.
Thank you for being spoiler free about it. Might end up watching some later guides later once I get to that point in the game.
very excited to watch ur guides!!! the special edition shipped so late and i have to wait several days before it comes 😭but hopefully watching ur guides will make it easier to get right into it when it does come
Congrats Enel, for once I actually learned something. That seems so obvious that I did not though about it. Pairing arts with similiar cooldowns. Thanks.
I haven’t watched it yet and probably will later I just got back from getting my physical copy and I think the one thing I’m more excited about than playing the game is more Enel content
Ahhhh shit, here we go again!
Thank you Enel, much appreciated man.
Your guides for XB2 expanded my understanding and love for the game
So jealous of everyone who’s playing right now lmao, still waiting for my physical copy to arrive! Hopefully soon, and thanks for the guide, very informative!
I'm enjoying the combat so far, but I really miss the party tension and encouragement systems... It was such an AMAZING thing to have your party talking to each other and helping each other along through combat.
Thanks for the awesome video, can’t wait for the chain attack video since I’m sitting here waiting for my copy to arrive and not wanting to see spoilers!
I finally received my game in the mail.... thank you for this!!! I'll certainly look forward to more guides from you.... so far, I am very impressed with this installment of xenoblade. It seems Ike alot more thought went into the combat system than in previous installments. It was very much worth the wait.
This combat system is so damn big its honesty overwhelming. But I still love it, so many options you can make almost any build with any of the characters. Loving the game so far
Was waiting to see it content again been playing xeno3 all day and love to hear your thoughts on how to build each character. Also... grind spots 😂
Have to wait a couple days before I can pick up the game, so any spoiler free videos are really gonna scratch that Xenoblade itch!
Finally,I am going to known wtf I am doing with the combat!
I hope you will make a Lucky Seven build guide as well!
That’ll be fun. I haven’t got to the point where I can customise it (if that is possible), but I noticed the one you get for offensive classes seems much worse then the one for defensive, no invincibility and I wasn’t able to get two “final lucky sevens”.
I'm only an hour into the game but this class system has me seriously excited.
Managed to wait almost a week. Been playing blind but previous Xenoblade game guides helped me get a head start in understanding mechanics.
Enel is the go to Xenoblade guru for learning the finer points. Already switching my arts around to suite quicker fusions.
i am so in love with the character design of this game man, its such a cool synthesis of all three games
My body is ready, but my wallet is not.
I'll be putting this guide to use come September,
Enel, this new world is boundless. It is home to not only you, but many forms of life. I can see it. In this world, all life will walk towards subscribing, hand in hand. - Alvis (maybe)
The art recharge is one moment during gameplay where I was blown away by the detail of this game. The fact that they thought to reflect the difference between The two sides by using the art recharge of the game they’re based on is awesome
Agreed, they blended together the combat style of XC1 to XC2
Awesome! Keep the guides coming! I love JRPGs but suck at them. A video telling me exactly what to do, how to optimize is super helpful! 👍
YESSSS!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I can enjoy the Xenoblade games to fullest only because of you. Blessed be your mother bro
I actually find focusing attacks less useful in this game because generally if there are multiple enemies, my tanks start attacking different enemies which to me seems a bit more useful.
I wish that we could command the party behavior more specifically. At least to the level of a Tales game.
@@1wayroad935 yeah, its called switching which character you play mid fight
... i've been using the Focus Attack command like mad ever since I noticed that even if the tank(s) are attacking one enemy, they are attracting aggro of every enemy involved in the fight.
... even when new enemies enter the fray, the AI seems to know when to reapply more aggro to get the new guys to look their way.
... I use Focus Attacks for most of my fights to kill them off one by one since the attackers tend to pull aggro fairly easy so as to NOT pull attention their way and get one or two-shotted.
... it's just been safer for my team this way.
@@Haku15Mitarashi your tanks probably have AOE aggro effects
13:15 tactics is ZL not ZR. Also, yes you can chain from arts > fusion arts as well as fusion arts > arts before unlocking full arts chain.
Can't wait for your more in detailed guides and strategies!
I'm good at directions
Directions are just a matter of perspective
good to see your back at it, thanks enel!
I am so happy I found your channel, this is my very first Xenoblade game and I just got to the part where they introduce chain arts, and I am confused as hell. Loving the game though, thanks for the video
A change that I really like is that launch isn’ animation based anymore. During a chain attack launches duration does not go down at all, I’m not sure if the damage boost still applies during chain attacks though
It should and seems like it does
Thx for this. I won't be getting my copy for a week or two, and was wondering how combat in this game worked compared to xc2.
Really hope to see some guides for all the characters in the future!
Such a relief to hear that cancelling arts becomes a thing later on. Also great guide!
I just started chapter 3 and this is already the game of the century, it's so good
Slow down there bucko
I wouldn't call it that but it's easily the best game in the series when it comes to raw gameplay loop, slightly above X
Bro, people complained about the combat system on Xeno games being slow but maaan those few hours gameplay really felt stiff, barely pressing any buttons at all. I was starting to wonder why reviewers thought this was a better combat system, is it simpler? yes. I was starting to get worried i was doing something wrong.... but then I played Mio... and I felt a bit more back at home. Your video also really helped me reassure that it wasn't just me doing something wrong but also that combat will surely get more complex as I progress through the story. I'll be sure to came back as always, thanks Enel!
I felt similar, but I also didn't mind too much since it was still fairly dynamic with the need to position really well. I also knew that I had my combat potential cut by half until they both joined up so I wasn't too worried. I think the main area of concern was that time they force you to play Eunie before she's got any low cooldown arts, which while it required a lot of skill to keep your party from dropping, also doesn't get particularly interesting til you can swap back and forth between her and Taion.
I think only being able to use Noah and having very limited options early will turn a lot of people off. He (or his class) felt so bad to play as before master arts especially contrasted with Mio
@@EnelXC as someone who finds 1 & 2's combat system very addicting and fun, the beginning was definately a bit frustraring. Other than that, I'm loving the game!
Haven't played this game since launch so I'm back to refresh how combat works before the final DLC.
This is probably the most competent combat AI Monolith has ever made, especially for the party. The fact they can do all of their stuff on their own feels great and really helps when one character's class requires player input to maximize usage.
I like how a researcher/mechanic and a salvager can climb vines from the very beginning of their games, but a bunch of trained-from-childhood soldiers cannot until after freeing Colony 30 - like, what the heck?
Sure, Shulk does have military training, since pretty much everyone in Colony 9 does, but he's still not the adventurous outdoorsy sort until after _stuff_ happens, whereas these six have fought in their war for years, yet they are the ones that can't climb vines.
Wait, only healers can revive?! that makes so much sense! I pilot the attack characters mostly, and I keep walking over to allies, try to revive them, then just end up sheathing my weapon. It's actually really annoying because that puts all my arts and talent on cool down. It's actually cost me a couple boss fights.
There is an accessory that allows non-healers to raise, but I didn’t see it till Chapter 4 from an air drop supply. Sure it can be gotten elsewhere but that’s where I got one from. So it’s possible through other means.
@@aramaiclvt6209 through nopon coins when you finish a certain puzzle quest. It unlocks the ability to trade silver coins with that specific nopon merchant.
I also didn't know this until it annoyed me to the point I actually looked at the tips and training simulation menu's, so this seems to be a game thing not a player thing.
Great guide. As a complete noob to xeno this helped out immensely. Thanks for the help brother
Cant wait for the upcoming 'How to Use *(Insert Heroes name)' Guide :D
Pro tip: You can cancel uroboros arts without dedicated skill if you swap in animation. Maybe a bug but use it while u can.
Oh? How does that work
so from the first few hours of play i don't know what i am supposed to think about the xc1 system when you only have 3 arts. it works when you have 8 that all charge at the same time but as of now it feels so much faster with the xc2 system. maybe a bit later it equals out to the same but it is definitely cool that we have both at the same time now
Fusion arts help the Keves arts feel faster in the early game in my opinion. Just pop em in master arts and forget until they're charged.
This was an awesome explanation of the basics of the game. I always look forward to watching your videos because you get straight to the point & don’t drag it longer than it should.
I have XC3 but have yet to play it because I’m almost done playing XC: Future Connected. After I’m done, I’ll probably play Torna & XC2 or just skip both & play XC3.
My man, great guide. Jesus hell i was going crazy trying to chain arts hahaha
Im literally playing this on 3 switch units. My og v1 for tv play, my lite when im in bed, and now my nephew's oled over the weekend (just to experience how it look in oled). I was initially hesitant about the combat solely based from trailers before (how it can be unnecessarily overly complicated) but now having played it, all i can say is it is a great blending of the systems of prev xc games that just clicks on you once you actually experience it. Even the pacing of the tutorial was much much better (that was one of xc2's weak points that drove some players away). I can already see the depth of builds and strategies (yes eventually there will be a few strats that will come on top, similar to agi builds or poppi builds in xc2). Im sure eventually enel will come out with recommended/ top builds but what i can say is the game is so fun that it would be best if you try to figure out your own strat/ builds first. My 500+ hours in xc2 is in serious jeopardy right now and will be probably be overtaken 😄. I do hope it gets a nomination for goty or at the very least it's own category (and i do think it deserves one). Great time to be an xc fan.
I think the only thing I don't understand very well so far is chain attacks. I'm not exactly sure what the optimal strategies are there - kind picking stuff and in the dark a little. The rest is really similar to the past games - pretty easy to get a handle on a lot of it just from past experience. I do find it a bit slow that I can't cancel arts into each other, but I'm guessing that opens up later as you said.
Oh, and I'm not sure how the skill trees work - do those things apply to just the fused oroboros form, or your base stats and abilities even when you are not in that form?
Only the ouroboros forms.
Honestly chain attacks seem like a card game. Attacker should go first, you want to finish with a defender, and healers are useful but can't exceed 99. Heros regardless of type will exceed 99. So you want to rack up score. The amount of TP gain is normally more than the set number on the character card so it takes getting used to. Most I have ever done was 200 and it was amazing.
I love all you videos Enel.
Thank you for going over art canceling, I didn't know about this till now!
Is there a way to target the closest enemy? Sometimes I want to switch which enemy I'm targeting and it'll target enemies way in the distance.
Change targeting to classic perhaps?
I just have been cycling L and R myself, usually works fine but have been a few weird moments with the targeting
@@diamondarrow4567 Classic works so much better for me! For those who don't know, Classic makes "R" target the closest enemy.
This might be a dumb question, but I know keves and agnus have two different ways their arts recharge. One over time and the other but certain X amount of auto-attacking until the art becomes available again. My question is how did you turn keves skills into agnus ways of recharging and vice versa I happened to notice that noah had the circular shape on his arts instead of the diamond pattern that he starts out with. Again I'm not super far into the game so maybe this is something that becomes readily available later?
It's based on class used, not where the character is from. So Noah using Mio's class has auto-attack recharge while having timer-based on his default class.
It's based on your class, that determines what arts you have available.
I can't wait for enel video on early game build, funny and cool build and combo that will make sure we can beat bosses more with ease :D
I was looking for this video!
Honestly I’m just so happy they let us fight in water. That was pretty annoying in the other games
Jeez! Just started up the game this morning and you're already on top of it. Mad props.
Edit: And RIP, auto-attack animation canceling. You will be missed in between replays of 2.
And combat is glorious! There is so much to cover
Nice to know that the game itself actually covers whats mentioned in this video compared to xc2, but damn is it good to know that the ingame tutorials are actually good this time
How do you feel about it? I've been playing for 34 hours and while the combat feels very cool and amazing I haven't gotten that feeling from doing blade + element combos at the same time while building up orbs and cashing out huge with the chain attack from XC2.
I love the game. I think it's fantastic.
Well, I absolutely understand what you are talking about. Inıtıally, I did feel the same way. But you can't compare the end game beauty and blade richness with the first 30 hours of XC3. It is better to compare it with the first 30 hours of XC2 as well. XC3 is a slow burner. In every way. As you keep playing, combat opens up even more and actually rivals XC2. Currently 60 hours in, it is about to exceed XC2's combat tbh. It gets better and better.
