The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

One thing Skyrim got wrong was severely cutting down on the Daedra summoning options. Conjuration was so much better in Oblivion.
might be a cool idea for "what we want in the Elder scrolls 6" , more spells and Deadra to summon. I mean the elder scrolls online might also have some spells that could be made to work with TES6.
Well due to some of the daedra tempers it would be unwise to summon them do not call a pack who won't listen that is what hircine told me
Oh absolutely.
Magic as a whole was severely handicapped in Skyrim, when in comparison to older TES games. Magic in vanilla Skyrim didn't really scale well at higher levels, and lacked the variety, complexity and sophistication of previous installments.
Coming from a lore ish perspective tho it makes sense that the magic in Skyrim is shitty. They don't really like it. But also Skyrim was streamlined for the general public and everything was simplified

Alex Homchick Jyggalag is not ‘gone’ he is roaming Oblivion, the cycle of the Greymarch was broken. It resulted in Jyggalag being freed from his curse, although severely weakened.

@@fourlamb1 Just type "daedric alphabet" into google and there you go. At first you will probably need the alphabet a lot, but after a while you should have most of these runes memorized.
I wish ES6 has more types of daedric creatures.

I hope it's set in Akavir and it details the adventures of the Nerevarine after the Tribunal are taken down. Or is simply a new story line but we can only choose Akaviri races. I know they are planning on ruining it with outrageous DLC's and multiplayer. So even if this were the case, I will very likely hate the game anyway. Akavir or Aldmerus. Only options imo. I hear a lot of High Rock and Hammerfell talk. I will be very disappointed if the series remains on Tamriel.

I always love how the tone of these Drew's narrations are somewhat serious and then he drops lines like "otherwise I'd be out of a job and couldn't pay for my fees at Winterhold" and i fucking break. pure gold

Agreed with others, Skyrim really cut down the conjuration magic. But, it's still one of my favorite sections of magic in the Elder Scrolls! Awesome vid, peeps!

I always find the daedra really interesting and how they have castes and their societies wouldnt it be awesome to have a dlc where you are a lesser daedra at some point

Things we want in TES6; being able to enter into contracts with various daedra and have them function like a traditional follower. Or possibly have them as a reward for completing daedric quests.

Pertaining to the watchers they come in various colors according to the daedric prince that creates them green is typically for hermaeus, blue for molag bal, and red for merunes Dagon. There is a quest in eso that give some lore to the watchers as they are agents of hermaeus mora designed to come to the mortal world to extract and record information and then return to apocrypha to relay the information.
I don't have to pay jack squat for my tuition fees. Maybe it was because I became the Archmage in a couple of days...

Mentioning some daedra being used as familiars made me hope that they really flesh out magic in the next ES game. I want to be able to cast rituals and have a familiar that can be more than a wolf. 😩
Would you be able to kill a daedra or maybe even a Daedric Prince if you destroy the realm of oblivion they inhabbit.
Jyyggalag and Sheogorath were the same being until the end of the 3rd Era. So after he payed waste to the place Jyyggalag would just turn back into Sheogorath.
Now if we were to just erase Coldharbor would it kill Molag Bal..... Maybe? The Relms are a projection of their creators wills so at the very least it would hurt them but "kill" might be a strong word. I think it'd more likely disrupt the prince for how ever long it too to remake their plane and recover their lost power. Which could be millions of mortal years for all we know
You can't destroy their realms. Sure you can wreak havoc, however those were just a physical representation of what they really embody or represent. Just like how Mora took a form of a Lovecraftian horror in terms with deep knowledge, the unkown, the deepest desire. They are one of the primordial, and perhaps intertwined with human nature. Destroying them completely is just making the universe of mortals imbalance.
You would do it by cutting of their source of worship which is very difficult since that’s where their power come from and if they arnt getting power from that they slowly start loosing power which may make them killable once they become weak anough

I'm not sure how you'd even go about destroying a realm of Oblivion.
You can theoretically wreck everything in the universe, but even if every star goes supernova and every planet and everything on them is reduced to cosmic dust, the universe - as in, the space these things inhabit - will still be there. The same applies to the planes of Oblivion.
We need Conjuration to have the variety it did in Oblivion. Oblivion's Conjuration Spells were my favourite and were so fun,something just appealed to me about summoning Scamps,Aurorons,Dremora and Spider Daedra to fight along side me.

I wish the spider daedra were in Skyrim. They were my favorites. I know there's a mod that includes some custom made version, but they look like derpy white gorillas and I can't take them seriously.

I always wonder when i see a daedra by itself not fighting, what is going on in their mind? What do they think about? How do they think?
They think in exclusively One Direction and vine references.
We do have a book in a small town in whiterun’s borders that’s gives us a look at what goes on in the mind of daedra and was actually written by a daedra
They mainly wonder why mortals are so obsessed with death and doing mundane things and why are they so obsessed with their princes realms

I really appreciate all the details here, especially the references to battlespire with the beautiful sprites (wich I discovered not long ago). I've always been really passionate about the elder scrolls and watching theses videos really make me addicted to the lore.

Something you omited were the daedra counts and daedra lords, although similar to dremora they have remarkable differences, counts and lords have large goat-like legs and the lords have huge bull horns. They only appeared in Batlespire

Regarding black horses: I'd love a video on Shadowmere and his/her origin. Even after years of playing TES and absorbing every bit of lore presented, I just noticed I have no clue how such a horse came into existence.
Is it just me, or do the deadra from Coldharbor look like something you'd find in the Soul Carin?

What about the Grummites, Baliwog, Elytra, Gnarls, Scalon, Skinned Hounds, and Shambles from the Shivering Isles?
The Shivering Isles is a plane of oblivion. Though, some of the above listed seem to reproduce like mortals. However, this could be a ploy by the Prince of Madness. Nonetheless, they do not appear in Tamriel and do in Oblivion. Wouldn't that make them lesser Daedra? (As for the Shambles they appear more akin to Atronachs, as a sort of Bone Atronach.) Thoughts?

chopping wood is actually extremely lucrative is skyrim special edition not Oldrim because in Oldrim you can only chop 6 firewood at a time where in special edition it just lets you go all day chopping wood

I say we leave Tamriel. Aldmerus or Akavir. All new races. All new gods. I honestly would love to see the Nerevarine's adventures in Akavir detailed. Even if they choose to create a new storyline, I would prefer in be set on a different continent, with access to new races and lore.
That would be something that the fans would like, and that just doesn't work for Todd Howard.

The Ogrim are in service to Malacath? Why are they working for Molag Bal in ESO then? Or is that just because Malacath and Molag Bal are part of the House of Troubles?
There are various clans of daedra jut like the clan of Dremora. Different clans serve different Lords.
Because ESO has made many contradictions since it’s come out.
Wouldn't be the first Daedra Molag Bal had stolen and reshaped in his own image.
As the collective said the lesser daedra are _usually_ their own individual selves separate from the Princes, with varying clans and motives.
So Daedra from the the same race can serve different lords for different reasons.
Lesser daedra serving the same lord even have conflict amongst them from fierce competition in the ranks and wanting to be superior.
They’re surprisingly similar to mortals in their allegiances and behavior.
The House of Troubles is a Dunmer term, but Ogrim (like ogres and orcs) are in service of Malacath, yes. Daedra are not bound to one prince and can serve practically any of them. As someone pointed out, they have different “clans” as well. For instance, Dremora are mostly associated with Dagon but serve more princes than just him, Spider Daedra can be found serving Dagon, Hungers can be found in Sheogorah’s realm, etc.
That doesn’t mean that each prince has every type of daedra, as Xivkyn and Harvesters are pretty much only found in service of Molag Bal. All I’m saying is that daedra can be found serving any prince.

A cool thought, what if you deny a deadra prince wishes and they summon a unique lesser deadra to fight you as another option besides being a pawn.

One of the many things I want from ES6? BETTER CONJURATION, essentially we can conjure many different kinds of daedra based on which Prince you have an artifact of. More animal conjurations, and even a more complex Necromancy
Drew, you say you go to the College of Winterhold yet you are a Daedrologist. Was it difficult to get the College to accept you, or did the teachers and students there never quite accept you due to your chosen field of study?
I’m so ready for a new kickass single player Elder Scrolls game...but frankly the practices of Bethesda these days are terrifying.
I could deal with the bugs in the past since we got so much in return.
