    The Stubai Glacier Ski Resort is the largest glacier ski resort in Austria. Due to its height above sea level, the Stubai Glacier opens up much earlier, in October, and closes much later, in June, compared to other ski resorts in the region. The Stubai Glacier Ski Resort is considered to be one of the most family-friendly ski resorts in Tyrol, Austria. At the Big Family Ski Camp, a well-trained team is ready to teach small children how to ski and/or to provide daycare while you are out exploring the slopes of the Glacier.

      We did enjoy ourselves. It was also at the right time. Just a few days later it was closed as a result of heavy snow.

    "Was insane and awesome" - love hearing your kid perfectly sum it up! Good to know that the resort opens early and closes in June. What a fun place and good amount of time to practicing your skiing. Happy skiing!

      Hi Craig! Yes, we love Schlick 2000 too! In fact we were there today. We will be going tomorrow as well. How often do you visit Tyrol? Groete, Coenie

      @Craigwdlr Před 6 lety +1

      Wow thanks for the reply!!!!! I have been there 3 times, i would usually visit my girlfriend in Stuttgart and we would drive down to Ulm then make our way to Innsbruck and Eventually Stubai. It is an amazing road trip fort a South African who grew up Surfing and later moved to Pretoria. For mr the snow is the most beautiful thing ever, I dream of someday having a home near to hills where I can teach my Kids to enjoy it as much as i do =). Your little guy rips!!!!!!!! So awesome to see! I wanted to visit this month as I have heard it is a Great winter but getting the Visa is proving to be a huge issue this time around. I hope you guys found some great powder on Schlick!!! Groete!! Craig =)

      Hi Craig. Sorry about your visa issues. This is a great winter for skiing indeed. The snow conditions are just perfect. As a father, I am so pleased and privileged to enjoy this wonderful sport with my son. As you can see he is the 'professional' skier in the family. I struggle to keep up. We will be uploading a video about Schlick 2000 within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Also, check out what Linda, my wife, wrote about Stubai on her blog at www.traveltyrol.com/stubai-gletscher/. If you don't manage to visit this winter you should defnitely visit Stubai in summer. I certainly recommend the Wildewasserweg (czcams.com/video/G5mKEtoVHFk/video.html). Groete, Coenie

    What a great review! I've never skied in my life, but I have snowboarded a few times. This looks like a great place to snowboard. You made me miss snow! Living in Shanghai, I don't get to see much of it. Is that a frozen lake at 3:14? Great shots, this place is absolutely breathtaking. Thanks for sharing :)

    Hi, are they open in May?

    • @steinadler4193
      @steinadler4193 Před 4 měsíci

      Yes, they have normally open the to end of May, sometimes even a week in June. Depends on the amount of snow and on the temperature.
      But beware, after April some slopes are closed, so it is only about half of the skiing area.
