Mike, I had a couple of super-reds in a tank with Eco-complete black and noticed it stained the bottom of their stomach black. I have other plecos in other kinds of tanks that never had this effect. It didnât seem to effect their health, it just made them look funny when they would hang on the front of the tank and you could see their bellies.

Hi Michael, great video! Just curious, we are thinking of getting into L number plecos, is there any reason you haven't moved into a range of L numbers at all? Some go for over ÂŁ150 in the UK and up, so a lot of money in them?

Hi Mike I have a breeding pair of albino bristlenose which I have had from juveniles, which have been popping babies out for fun but for the last couple of months they stopped is there any reason for this? nothing has change within the tank not added any fish and no fish dying off thanks keep up the great videos..

Hey bud have a question for you, I seen that most bristlenose plecos are nocturnalbut it seems like the ones that I grow it here home only come out when the light is on that's the only time that they like to come out and explored eat I've tried multiple foods from multiple of your videos I just like to know if it's normal or if it just depends on the schedule that they're on themselves?
My plecos are very used to the light too. Most that are tank bred are. It's not unusual.
When feeding the green beans to you put them in straight from the can or do you cook in any way first?

On the topic of green beans, have you noticed any other fish eating green beans (in assuming your guppies are one)? It seems good but honestly I could never get into bristlenose plecos.
My plecos eat them before the guppies, but I have seen them eat green beans.

I am having trouble getting mine to breed on bare bottom.
Wondering if that is the cause or just correlative because they were non stop on stratum planted.
I breed all mine in bare bottom.
I suspect it is a PH and thing.

It might be worth mentioning, to save confusion for some, that a Bristlenose is not a Pleco, it is an Ancistrus.

No Confusion - Yes it is an ancistrus but refered to by MOST as a Bushy or Bristlenose Pleco . IT IS A COMMON NAME . if you want to be such a smart azz you can just call your fish by their scientific name and move on .
