This is one of the timeless songs that it is impossible not to love. This song for me holds particular significance, for introducing me to the idea of a walking bass, and leading me into the world of improvising bass lines in jazz. The chords are so nice to play over from a bass perspective and the fact that there are several obvious ways to play a walking bass over them was really the thing that opened my eyes to the whole possibility of jazz bass.
I always remember that feeling of discovery when I play this, and how me and one of my friends would talk of and play this song enthusiastically since without thinking too much it really sounds like a jazz song. It almost happens by accident.
Here I'm just having fun, as I usually do. I never really think much about note selection or "this chord is coming up I should do this". I tend to just play, influenced by everything from the atmosphere to my own mood, the style and feel of the piece and the context of the performance/context of the piece itself.
    Thanks for watching/reading
