Today I learned Stella Artois is the PBR of Britain
This was shocking, indeed --- especially with the image they present to us over here in the US....I absolutely love Stella ..
Microsoft corporate fundamentally doesn't understand the idea that people can have connections to their products. Probably billions of people use Windows every day, use Office every day, something using Azure cloud services, you name it, but nobody has a particular attachment to those things (as a consumer anyway). It must be completely alien to them that people want more games from e.g. Tango Gameworks, because to them that must sound like someone going "can't wait to see the next product from the people who made Visual Studio 2022!"
(also can't believe when I asked the Switch 2 question I thought that was a shoo-in for the biggest news of the week until I refreshed Twitter and saw this going on lmao)

Surprised no one mentioned the fact that Nintendo needs to improve their online interface/infrastructure. One of their biggest areas of opportunity. Couldn’t believe they didn’t even have built-in party chat
Re:gamepass, there is no way they could afford to have a major release every three months. The cost would be completely prohibitive without dramatically increasing the stagnated user base.
I live in the USA and Stella is perceived as decent beer here and cost quite a bit. Our piss beers are the basics like Bud Light and Coors. It makes me think of how BMW sells super basic models that are cheaper in Europe, but here they’re quite expensive and they do not sell a stripped out model.
I went to the Coke a Cola factory once and they have a room with all the flavors of Coke from each country, and they vary wildly in taste. I find it interesting.
Yeah. The weather definitely turned on a sixpence in the space of 2 days here in Yorkshire. Went from sitting at my comp in thermal trousers + a T-shirt + jumper.. To naked in my computer chair playing Minecraft and watching this weeks TJ Podcast eating a meal deal from the village Co-Op.
And I live in a tourist village. So it's heaving with peeps out there when I walked to the shops. At the beginning of May! Because it's the first really good weather Saturday for a long time.
In Italy, Stella is classed as a premium, posh larger for the upper class!

Ninja Theory may be in trouble. Their recent lead developer has just left the studio before the release of their title, which in recent memory is not a good sign. There's also been no media coverage for this "flagship" title before its release this month. Rare's latest previews of Perfect Dark have reportedly looked "very rough, and more cuts are coming... Heck I've even heard news that Double Fine, behind Psychonauts, Brutal Legend, etc may be in Jeopardy. Thank goodness MS didn't acquire Nintendo and Sega, if they can't handle managing their studios after ABK, which should not have been acquired. The winner in all this is Bobby Kotick who got a golden parachute and is out of this mess at MS.
I’m hoping there’s some good video game news on the horizon soon, because recently the podcast has almost become rant after rant. Used to enjoy the chuckles so hopefully they return 😂
I had similar experiences I Ashton with fallout 76. I'd periodically encounter legendary enemies that just were unkillable by my group, but they also did minimal damage. Usually we'd just run away out of boredom to do something else
describing the making of your upcoming game as "fighting for your lives" honestly just makes me even more excited for it 😂❤
I saw rumors somewhere about the new Switch and its design. Things like the joy-cons being magnetic instead of sliding into rails, and the screen being LCD 1080p. Also, unfortunately, the rumor is it’s NOT backwards compatible. I wish I could remember where I saw this, and take it with a huge grain of salt since none of this is confirmed.

MS do this though and have since they bought Rare. They buy studios (possibly to get exclusivity?), strip back and cost cut until they've squeezed all the profitability from a studio, then shut the doors.

I heard that the TripleJump game is gonna be like Legend of Zelda mixed with Tekken and Final Fantasy 7, the capibara was really good, I'll buy it if it was in an art gallery

Peter would love Breath of the Wild. If he doesn’t have the time or ability to, please try Immortals: Phoenix Rising. While not popular, Immortals is an upgraded clone of Breath of the Wild, copies the good things, improves the bad things, and adds more good things. Definitely worth the time, underrated gem!
Brap brap fellow human gamers. What we playin' this week keeps bringing that quote to mind: 60% of playtime was spent with games released six years ago or more. Oh lul, "HATE!" And now all I can imagine is all three in a car together trying to play a Switch and just violently loosing their lunch. Hue hue hue, I'm way too high indeed while huffing those marker fumes. Now make us some capybara merch from that doodle.
While I agree that the community manager for Helldivers 2 had to face the repercussions of their actions, selling a cape commemorating their firing is in poor taste.

PC Players have wanted PlayStation trophies for ages now & it would’ve just made more sense for Sony to just say “if you want PS trophies then you need PSN”
They’d have had a hell of a lot less resistance cos then people that don’t care / have access to psn can still enjoy the game but without trophies.
Atleast sont back tracked....uh the literally added more countries that cant buy helldivers and also auto refunded people who pre ordered GOT that are in tbose same countires because of PSN requirement

I know all the studios are still currently active, but how long will it be before that video of Phil Spencer looking so smug at E3 2018? Announcing 5 new studios joining Xbox Studios will have aged like horrible disgusting sour milk because they are no longer active? I don't want them to close, but there's not a lot of hope going around that they'll stay open.
