  • Lejeune Mbella Mbella, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Cameroon, addresses the general debate of the 76th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 21-27 September 2021).
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. Comprising all Member States, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations. Each of the 193 Member States of the United Nations has an equal vote.
The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. Currently made up of 193 Member States, the UN and its work are guided by the purposes and principles contained in its founding Charter.
The UN has evolved over the years to keep pace with a rapidly changing world.
But one thing has stayed the same: it remains the one place on Earth where all the world’s nations can gather together, discuss common problems, and find shared solutions that benefit all of humanity.

UN MISSION TO WEST PAPUA IS URGENTLY NEEDED.
    What happens in West Papua?
    1. Human rights Violences since Act of Free Choice.
    2. Slow motion Genocide targeting those who are supporting Free West Papua.
    3. Arbitrary Detention against Peaceful demonstration and massive protests.
    4. Massive waves of Transmigration to West Papua.
    5. Marginalisation. West Papua people gradually get marginalized on their own land.
    6. Racism and Discrimination against Black West Papua people by Indonesians.
    7. No Democracy in West Papua.
    8. Freedom for Speech, opinion and expression are strictly banned.
    9. Human rights defender and activists are being arrested and imprisoned recklessly by Indonesia police officer.
    10. West Papua people are significantly becoming minority on their own land.
    11. Illegal Mining Companies have been continuously stealing our natural resources such as Freeport Indonesia, LNG and Petrogras.
    12. Illegal Logging. Humongous forest in West Papua are being exported by Indonesia.
    13. Palm Oil Plantation.
    14. Illegal Hunting and Fishing by Non-Papua people in West Papua.
    15. Special Autonomy law is forcibly implemented even though West Papua people already refused such "Killer machine".
    16. West Papua island is now taken control by Migrants, not West Papua.
    17. West Papua National Liberation Army (OPM/TPNPB) is protector of West Papua people, the security for its natural resources, freedom fighter and the last Guardians for West Papua. They are not Terorist.
    18. Current study shows that more than 50.000 innocent civilians of West Papua have been tortured and assassinated by Indonesia army forces.
    19. For four recent years, 2017-2021 inclusive, more than 30.000 Indigenous Papuans had fled their homes and villages due to Indonesia Military clandestine operation in West Papua. People from 10 districts are still inside the refugee's camps.
    20. At the moment, more than 20.000 Indonesia heavily armed troops are deployed across the island of West Papua.
    Root causes:
    1. Act of Free Choice was illegal and against International law.
    2. West Papua has already been independent since its proclamation in 1 December.
    3. West Papua has its own Ideology.
    4. West Papua is Malanesia, not Indonesia.
    5. Democratic solution for West Papua is Referendum.
    6. 100% of West Papua want to be free from the Colonial Indonesia.
    Free West Papua.
