I quit smoking about 5 years ago and have a few zippos that are sentimental. I'm ordering one! Thanks, Doc, for showing it.
i have 1 of these i keep my torx in since i stopped smoking j dont need a lighter on me but its habbit to always have a zippo to fidget with. its nice to finally have a use for my zippo more than a fidget toy. iv used it alot more now to adjust knives than iv used it as a lighter since i quit.
I like the look of a zippo. Don’t like the standard lighter fluid. So I actually use a butane insert.
I also always have multiple ways to make fire readily available so I see this as being useful. Should be TSA compliant too.
That's a great point. I didn't even think about that!
I think it’s a cool way to carry a few bits around
I’m not into zippos but if I needed a screwdriver in a pinch and someone pulled out their zippo, I would get a good laugh and think it was a great idea (I guess I just find it more useful FOR MYSELF than the actual lighter …so for me it works)
That’s pretty cool !
I was thinking of like in the movies were a dame needs a light and the guy pulls out the zippo to give her a light LOL.
super rad.... dragon Bruce LEE self reliance
My only beef is the plastic hinge for the lid.
I'm not sure which part you're looking at. There's no plastic on it, unless I missed something. But how many. Times have I spoken and then had to go back and said "OK, so I'm and idiot..."?
I'll look at it again but I'm fairly sure it's all metal.
@@DocP91B look at the hinge spring. I got one of these a day or two after they came out to evaluate as possible gifts. The plastic latch on the lid turned me off. It seems like a plastic that will crack.
But maybe they changed it in the newer ones? It’s possible.
@@thewhitegarveytwg8912 I see what you're talking about now! Not the actual arm that contacts the lighter top but the plastic insert below that, that contacts the spring inside. Yes, you are 100% coorect - there's a white plastic insert inside the body. My apologies. I thought we were talking about a whole different part. That's interesting. I wonder what the limits and tolerance of that insert are...
@@DocP91B Not sure how that will hold up in the long run which is why it fell of the list of potential gifts.
