2020 BMW F 900 R Review - Beyond the Ride

- The BMW F 900 R is another entry into the middleweight category of motorcycles. Notable in this model for the Philippines is its premium adornments along with its not-so-premium price tag that starts at just P655,000. All that money will still get you a premium ride, that's still assembled in Germany. Let's see how it stacks up in a review.

5 year warranty!?! That’s the first I’ve seen on a bike. Awesome! Keep up the good work. A fan from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Love this channel, specially This Person and his Way to Presenting the Content 🥰😍
Like the way you review bikes. It works well. fan from Australia.
Can wait to have this one in a near future, need to work hard for our goals🇨🇦
Good job with the review, keep up the good work, may i know what riding jacket and gloves are you using ?
Very good non bias review
when you hop into a motorcycle to check if you can flat-foot it, height does not matter much, always mention your inseam length and that's what matters
Awesome review brother enjoy watching all the way, kindly do a comparison with ktm and the rest motorcycles with the same category.
Love this moto
Nabanggit nyu na Yung Yamaha MT09 next Naman po please 😅✌️ beyond the ride
Great channel and great review! I'm researching bikes as I move up from my baby Beemer (G310R). I am the same height with old injured knees so your comment on that was very helpful! I'm also looking at the 750GS...
I have the same dilemma, although just in the process of getting my licence :D which did you choose?
@@anitaandrensek Hi! I had my G310R for 3 seasons and I really did love it but I did mostly commuting. I liked that it was small and easy to handle. I didn't feel, at the time, that I had the confidence to handle anything bigger. I just switched up to the F750GS and I absolutely LOVE it! It is very comfortable for my knees, it is light enough for me to handle confidently and it has the power I want when riding the country roads with my hubby. I sat on the F900R and found the sitting position to forward with tight knee positioning. The 750GS is actually 853cc engine so it is more powerful than you think!
@@JenniferWasylenko thank you for your answer! I am a beginner, learning on yamaha mt-07 for the exam. thank God I am learning on such heavy and powerful machine. can't wait I test them both and decide! have my safe kilometers on f750gs beauty.
Anita Andrensek good luck! 😄
A friendly seat in my opinion
Can you do a bmw r nine t scrambler review? Were the same height I wanna see if you can still tip toe
Hi, can you compare it to Yamaha XSR900? Which one will you get, if ever? Thanks
It can go lower to 775mm or 30.5inches? That was the specification
Hi from Greece. I am looking for a naked bike for every day commuting and weekend travelling fun in a "comfortable way". I am 48 years old and not experience rider. I currently ride a Bmw G310R. I really like this Bmw and also like the Trident 660. Unfortunately the Bmw here in Greece don't have this model for a test drive. I have seen your videos and i know that you love the Trident. I understand that we are talking about bikes in a different category but they cost almost the same price...So any recommendation would be extremely helpful.
I don't know man, the new S1000RR seems to have this issue with the key coming out, with the ignition still attached, lol. Maybe the keyless is a good option at this point.
Hi Gusy! I'm trying to find an owner for cross-checking my brand new F900R's assisted clutch which after repeated downshifting becomes really loose :( Is there anyone who can confirm his experience on the clutch of this bike? Would really appreciate your feedback, thanks!!
Great video love it , one question tho is this bike good as first bike my brother wants it ?
In reality any bike is a good bike, just be respectful of the machines power because if you don't it can be very unforgiving. That being said usually its smarter to start on something a little smaller but to each their own
I've got one but I don't know if it is good for a first bike, 100 hp feels a bit powerful for a starter - I would recommend the G310R for a couple of years first
super review with funny elements....loved it.
F900r and s1000rr which one is good and advise to buy
Is the seat height adjustable???
These bikes are the only thing in the world that makes me envy short guys!
If you’re a real adventurer, you’ll appreciate the keyless feature
So are you saying that the existence of a true adventure rider started when keyless options were made available?
I talking about “usecase” and not the history
Why are the tank and grips plastic tho
We all want to have a BMW but I think most of the riders still prefer the screaming sound of inline 4 👌
Go for bmw s 1000 r or xr then. It's not about bmw. Almost all brands have twin, triple or four cylinders engines dude.
Soundtrack?
It neads to have 3or4 pistons..
Sir ask bmw f900r built in germany or china?
*Ask for BMW R18 "BERLIN BUILT" Achtung!!! Jawohl*
Which is better Suzuki GSXS 1000 vs Kawasaki z1000 vs BWM F900R?
Makes no sense, F900R doesn’t belong in this line up. More comparable to a MT 07, SV650, or xsr/fz 700.
Kawasaki Z900
(Only 2020 model)
i love it, just too much tech
Get a chain for the keys, put them in your pocket, attached the other end of the chain to your pants.
I f***ing love it! Man... Imma swap my mt09..
Swap tayo add ka
Was about to decide in getting the mt09
MT09 is far far better.
He’s the first person complaining about keyless
Hey Jinno, this or the 790 Duke? the base variant F900R is just 56k more than the 790 Duke but tbh looks way better but I'm wondering if the +56k is worth it?
*Kronreif Trunkenpolz Mattighofen made in the Philippines?* czcams.com/video/5MgXQPRW3Eg/video.html
Neither. Get an MT-09 instead
Ano po yung helmet niyo?
Biltwell Lane splitter
Next: MT09.
High five. I am 5'6" too.
It sucks being 5’6.
whaaaat - 60km per liter x times 13l tank =780km--- i think that is some mistake
Filipinos love motorcycles like Germans love David Hasselhoff.
Get the z900 or cb650. Thank me later.
the f900r topspeed is equal to ninja 650 ..because both are parallel twin engine but BMW way much too costly
Nakeds aren't build for top speeds.
👍👍🇨🇦
The bike is built in Germany but the engine isn't.
The engine is designed, built and assembled in china by Loncin and then shipped to BMW to assemble it on their bikes. 👍
Wrong, engine is designed by BMW engineers but built under contract to Loncin in China.
@@Win7ermu7e Better yet, it's developed by both teams, BMW and Loncin, and built and assembled by and at Loncin. 👌
The GS750/850 engines are entirely built by Loncin.
Regarding their scooters, they are entirely built by Loncin. 😅
Only the Big Boys at BMW are true to their roots, the others are just the power of branding with cheap engines with cheap quality. 💩👎
@@tiagofigueiredo2529 lol, if you think the other BMWs don't have chinese components you are dumber than you sound.
Loncin engine
F900r has many issues. Don't waste your money 💵
which ones?
No it will not make a dent in the naked bike market. The customer for this bike will be women or someone buying their first bike. 10 out of 10 experienced bike rider’s prefer The 2020 Kawasaki Z900, or MT09
Not saying you don't have a point but experienced riders don't just look at raw HP or 1/4 times. Just because it doesn't run a low 10 in a 1/4 mile with a super experienced racer doesn't make it a bad bike that can't hang. That being said 100 HPish bikes are IMHO far beyond beginner bikes which to me should be 500 or less or the 650's.
stolenlaptop if both the Z900 and F900r cost the same. Help me understand and tell me why I should buy the BMW F900r over the Z?
The Z900 is probably the most capable all rounded naked machine you can buy. I currently ride a Street triple 675 and I would swap out for a Z900 in a heartbeat if I could afford to buy a new bike.
@@dirkpackwood6409 assuming the same price, performance per dollar you would always pick the z900. As i get older and don't just look at stat sheets anymore style and personal fit matter more to me than a fraction of a second in a quarter mile sprint. Otherwise i would buy a super naked or better yet a used super sport. Like i said, you do have a point and perfomance is always attractive but when you can already go 0 to way too fast in 4 seconds does it matter if it was 3.1 or 3.4 seconds when you lost your license?
stolenlaptop I’m 52, and I do love low end torque, but 0 to 60 isn’t why I prefer the Z900. I enjoy going on long day trips or weekend get always so having a much larger tank, better riding position, reliability, also parts and maintenance will be less than a bmw. The fact that the overall performance is better, made me choose this bike over the MT09. F900r never came into consideration
ugly tank like a hump, ruins the whole bike
I think bmw makes good bikes and crappy cars.lol
That sounds like shit 😶
engine is made in China :'(
*BMW assembled in THAILAND on the Eastern Seaboard. Rayong Plant. Also DUCATI, Harley-Davidson, Triumph fave factories in Choburi, Rayong provinces* czcams.com/video/5MgXQPRW3Eg/video.html
Mahirap bumirit dyan boss first class china made engine yan, para bang first class rusi.
🤣
*Thanks BMW Motorrad Philippines. "Bee-Emm' Motorrad also popular here in synny, tropical THAILAND. BMW assembled in THAILAND on the Eastern Seaboard. Rayong Plant. Also DUCATI, Harley-Davidson, Triumph fave factories in Choburi, Rayong provinces.* czcams.com/video/5MgXQPRW3Eg/video.html
A laughable excuse for a motorcycle the competition haven't anything to worry about all the time BMW are churning out rubbish like this
PG GP 👍 couldn’t agree more. I’ll take a z900 all day and for a couple thousand more a Duke890.
