Yes, it is made in China but engineered and overseen by BMW. I wish it were not made there. That said, it has decent sound, good power, and has been very reliable for me. I do not get passed in the twisted, and with a touring screen, 85 mph on the highway is very bearable.

I spent ages test riding all kinds of nakeds before settling on one these (In blue!) and it's by far and away the best all rounder. It's basically a better engineered Ducati Monster.
As for the snatchy throttle, just leave it in road mode. It's so much friendlier around town that way. Dynamic is way too rowdy for traffic.
Update: Coming up to a year's ownership and I completely retract the comment about it being too rowdy in Dynamic. It now just permanently lives in Dynamic Pro mode, even in the rain.
The bike in the whole has actually made me a much better rider in my opinion.
One thing reviews don't get accross is how good BMW aftersales is.
Servicing is cheap and they role out the red carpet for you at ever dealer visit. Good way of retaining owners.

1MrBryn I also did a testride, didn’t give me a ‘wow’ feeling. Electronic suspension is very good, but the engine is so lame. It’s like the bike is singing a lullaby AND she is missing a lot of power! Bought me a Street Triple RS instead of this or a Z900 (kawa garbage imo), the Triumph does it all the best for me. Have fun with your beemer 👍

As for the Z900 my father owns one and though it's not as refined it rides well and the engine is great. Honestly is there anything on the Z900 that you don't like? Just asking as I'm in the market between these two.

Lately I've been riding the street legal dirtbikes and they are GREAT with their upright position but virtually no highway capabilities. That's where I learned torque is really the way to go for the street and what attracts me to the Twin motor setups. 2021 MT-09 is a very attractive offering too. The BMW's still got my attention though because of the cruise control and another electronic features. We simply need cruise control on our bikes and cars here in California. It has a grunt and power and road presence. It looks really bulky in person surely a head-turner, especially in Blue color. The only issue is most of the dealers here don't have the base version without the extra bits for that you have to order and it will take few months to come. Long Term Review of the Bike:
BMW F900R is an 895cc Parallel twin engine which produces 105bhp and 92nm of torque.
      Pros:
      1. Well Balanced and Nimble
      2. High Quality Build.
      3. Torque Engine
      4. Smooth Highway Ride
      5. Powerful Breaks
      6. Class Leading TFT screen,
      7. Smooth Quick shifter
      8. Head Turner Looks
      9. High tech like cruise control, heated grips, turn by turn navigation, adjustable rear suspensions, adaptive head light, lean sensitive abs and more.
      10. BMW Motorrad Connected App. With Winding Road map option
      11. Different Hight options for different riders
      12. Good fuel efficiency.
      Cons
      1. It is on the heavier side.
      2. Seats are a little hard which can get a little uncomfortable after a couple of hours of riding.
      3. Hard to get after market mods for the bike especially in Canada.
      4. It is very hard to buy the base version of the bike most of the dealers will have available with added packages which push the price of the bike a little bit.
      5. The 15.4 liter gas tank is quite small for the bike.
      6. Non-adjustable front suspension. Factory setup of the front suspension is wonderful but missing the option to adjust the suspension.
      Misconceptions
      1. Underpowered: comes alive in dynamic or dynamic pro mode. More than enough power for road and highway rides
      2. Chinese Engine: Yes, engine built in China but it is built under the BMW standards. BMW name known for their Standards and Quality. It will reduce the labor cost not the quality of the engine.
      Overall:
I am very happy with the bike and if you are looking into the Z900, MT09 then I think you should also give BMW the chance to get a test ride to decide if this bike is for you or not. Plus, it will come with BMW brand value.

cost you about 12353£ The bike with almost no tech cost 9,780£ It must be false info to claim you get all those things with the bike for 9,780£
You almost get nothing from all the things you mention that is on the bike for £9,780 :/
You can go to bmw homepage and add all the packages they sell for the bike and watch yourself.

Front forks are terribile, a shame for such a new expensive bike. They fall down in a while if you brake strong, wich is very easy with this not exactly progressive brakes Inside there is not an actual complete suspension. Changed the inside with an Andreani kit. Abother world another music. But you have to pay...

The electronics are awesome, but the suspension kills it, for me.

I'm not a fan of all the tech - it's more stuff to go wrong. It's the feel of the motor that matters to me.

In my point of view, riding should be pure and simple so I'd tather have the R9T over this F900R.
I ride a 2019 Benelli Leoncino 500 by the way. And I love it.

😂I bet you never drove one, if you have a Leoncino 500 you would be blown away with this bike, a totally diferent beast, yes the 9t its a complete diferent bike, not better! Not prettier! Not faster! Much diferent, and more expensive 😉✌️

This cheapo bike is fine as long as you don't mind the fact that BMW dealers try to conceal the Chinese origins of the engine. No wonder its a rattily piece of crap compared to precession engineered and refined Japanese motorcycles

You present this as though excessive tech is attractive. It puts me off a bike. More to go wrong, and keep it long enough, it will. I like the actual bike, though; good-looking. and the fact the engine is made in China doesn't bother me. I don't want a keyless bike.

This video didn't appreciably demonstrate how this bike sounds. It has a 270° crank that makes it sound like a V-twin or an MT-07, and from the saddle the intakes have been designed to produce a very pleasant tone that is only going to be apparent to the rider, similar to an aftermarket intake, more muted than pod filters.
