I have been living in Australia for last five years. I want to mention some interesting facts about Australian immigration :
    1. Australian Citizens and Permanent residents can live, work and study in New Zealand without any visa. It means, getting Australian PR will open the door for New Zealand as well.
    2. Australian Government has temporarily removed work limitations for International students. International students can work unlimited hours now.
    3. Australia accepts PTE and TOEFL which are easier compared to IELTS.
    4. You can consider subclass 491 visa which is commonly known as Provisional PR. It will allow you to live, work and study in Regional Australia for five years. You'll get Medicare benefits and can apply for PR after 3 years.
    5. From personal experience, getting Australian Student Visa is easier compared to Canadian Study Permit.
    6. Unlike Canada, you wont lose 5 points each year after reaching the age of 30. In fact, you’ll only lose 5 points untill you reach 40.
Finally, I'm not saying that you should give up your Canadian Dream. But you can definitely consider Australia as plan B.

I live in Australia and I just completed my studies people over here are standing on 85 to 95 as of now and still there’s no invitation. Whatever he is saying is good to hear but practically looking at the points matrix you will understand that the matrix itself is very much different compared to canada and you need more effort to gain 5 points over here compared to that of canada. Lastly the cutoff which he was saying 75 and 80 points is something which was 3 years back. So don’t just blindly follow do ur research u have all the stats on the Australian home affairs webpage.
All i want to say is may be there’s chances of getting pr in future but there’s already students waiting for it securing all the points. So even though if the ease the migration the priority will be towards students coz they have upper hand as they secured points by studying over here. Am not demotivating u all just letting know the bitter truth of Australian immigration.

You have to get your strategy right. Australia is focusing more on regional migration. The allocated quota for regional immigration is twice than the Non-regional immigration. I used to live in Sydney till 2018. Then moved to Canberra in 2019. I applied for subclass 491 within 2.5 years after moving regional. People will struggle to get PR if they are still living in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Hi Sheetanshu. Just like you, Australia was our first preference as well, but we were stuck at 65 points and the cut offs shot up to 85-90 in not much time, making us lose all hopes. That was 3 years back, and that's when we started processing for Canada instead. If there really is a chance for Australian immigration now, we would rather go back to our old hopes again. Would really appreciate if you could make a video with all the necessary updated details for 189 and 190 visas. Also, would like you to include specific information regarding in-demand occupations there.

I would recommend you to chose a regional area such as Darwin or Canberra as your study destination. Getting state sponsoship is way easier if you study in regional Australia.

@@arf712 Thanks for the reply.. Yes we were thinking of regional. Specifically Adelaide since there are lot of IT related opportunities over there compared with other regional areas. Something that I’m not clear about is say if I have a job in south Australia (as a Business analyst) is it possible to proceed in the PR process before wife completing her MSc ? It’s possible in Canada as per my knowledge especially in tech pilot programs like in Alberta.

@@devyud5719 South Australia will be a good choise as well. I'm assuming you are an ICT Business Analyst. In that case, if you have a job in your related occupation and get positive skill assessment, there is a good chance that you’ll be able to apply for State nomination even before your wife finishes her studies. Besides, you and your wife will get three years of Post Study Work Permits. So, you’ll have enough time to settle there.

Video made far from reality, either you don't know current immigration scenario or you are misguiding people with half knowledge. I m in Sydney since last 2 and half years. The current cutoff is as high as 105 points. There is not a single invitation since last 8 months for software engineers. The 180000 intake announced is mostly reserved for medical staff, partner visas, global talent visa, employer sponsored visas. I wasted so much money, energy and time for Australia immigration process. Please don't waste your time either. Canada process is far far easier and Canada is welcoming immigrants unlike Australia.

      Hey Smit,
You score is really good and whenever the EE draw starts you will get an invitation.
Your age should be ok for another 2 years, because 30 you get maximum points and it is after 30 that your points start to reduce.
I think you should wait for sometime on this score, you will be invited as soon as the draw start.
