That foot to the floor manouver fixes the parking sensor beep every time, that's way I sort it in mine, far more satisfaction than pressing the button on the ROOF, you looked everywhere but there man!!🤣🤣
This engine in the R8 build!!!
I like it when you film in Mexico.

To turn the parking sensors off there’s a button on the roof console. I believe it’s a ‘P’ with a cone next to it and ‘off’ underneath it.
You are correct! Too late! Haha
i had mine done st2 (dpf & de cat removal) mines doing 470bhp and 1000nm..still does 40mpg at a steady 60 and averages round doors 30mpg..amazing cars and very powerful.
Did you have to take the engine out to do the emmision removal like Darkside is thinking ? I have seen a 4.2tdi that I want to buy. I was wondering how much does a full emission delete and a remap cost ? Was it less than £1000 ?
@@hungrysurfer9471 downpipes taken off and dpf & cat smashed out...that and engine and box map was £750.
@@Spannerface wow thats a good price. May i please ask who did it for you and are they anywhere near Surrey ? I can't find anyone able to delete the emmision gubbins on a Cayenne. Thanks 👍
Emailed you guys with a enquiry yesterday repaid response and helpful thanks 👍
That constant beeping would do my head in, thanks for the video, kinda cool car, haven't driven one myself but I've driven a few turbo V8 ones over here, Rj in Oz
Traction control light coming on.... oh yes thank you, yes that's just right, very much indeed. Lovely video cheers.
I'm guessing the faster times are due to the engine and gearbox fluids being warm. I'm interested to see if you upgrade the fluids for this car.
Parking sensors button is on the dome light cluster by the rear view mirror together with sunroof control button & garage opener buttons.
More 4.2 tdi content ! Great work as usual 👍
Wow, those are some impressive numbers, especially with the tune. Adding a small hatchbacks worth of power is some damn fine work.
Ryan still having nightmares, waking up screaming cos somethings beeping🤣
Sounds great as a tdi cayenne
Over complicated for no good reason ! Fair play to you boys tackling this one 👍
Everything that can beep at Ryan wants to beep at Ryan. It's like he's a beep magnet
So there you have it, Rye’s a Beep 🧲
Couldn't it be women? Haha
Beeps are .... to be enjoyed.
Very impressive 👌👍
I reckon two PD heads, share a bottom end. 3.8 PD V8 twin turbo in the R8
Got to be done lads. You know these engines inside out. Making something bespoke like this will suit the R8. Maybe costly with a billet bottom end, but offer it out for us lot to chip in. You wanted something powerful for top speed and 1/2 mile events, this is perfect. 800+hp and more torque than God!
Reason to take engine out....because this is the Darkside and we need to see it done....😉😅
Currently am interested in one of these but still not very sure about it since there are some questions that I couldn’t find. First I want to ask is that is the Aisin transmission have a tune for it, a firmer and faster shifting. Second is that is it possible to delete all the emissions stuff and if so what power we are looking at. Third is that with a pair of larger intercooler, full exhaust and also cold air intake what power we are looking, essentially a full bolt on. With all these modifications will it able to make somewhere 460hp. Just want to make sure if it’s worth to buy. Very much appreciated if you can answer these answers, cheers.
Drop an email to sales@darksidedevelopments.co.uk and we can go through all options available for this platform to get more power
So the R8 gets an 4.2 tdi then..?
What a shame, I was looking at getting one of these S diesels instead of an X5 4.0d because the X5 was way too Fat to fit on narrow roads or park and the steering has not got much feedback. I tested the F15 and G60, not as nice to drive as the E70. But the E70 is a bit old these days. I checked the old Cayanne reviews, 5 years ago the review mags were raving about the V8 S diesel handling and steering. I was hoping to get one and do a full emission delete and remap. The idea behind deleting all the emission filters (cat, egr, dpf, blue juice) is to make the car reliable long term and gain a bit of turbo response low down with slightly better fuel consumption as well. Sounds like on the Porsche its almost impossible to take apart and get to all the parts that need modifying.
I have a 2015 Cayenne S 4.2 Twin Turbo diesel ( same gen as this video) and the Audi sourced V8 sitting in these is regarded as bullet proof, don't let it put you off...awesome cars and sound really good for a Diesel ( adblue - less sound)
.
My dream car is a T2 touareg with the 4.2L swapped. All the power of the V10, less of a nightmare to maintain/repair
it would be good
Did it have speaker in the exhaust or is the rearmuffler just more open compared to the touareg?,i have a touareg v8tdi and would like to have more Sound whithout spoiling the emission component (its wery illegal here in Denmark)😊,
Just stock exhaust, no active sound or anything like that
Barely a pulse registered despite that swine of beep. Fair play. I'm not sure I'd have stayed so calm. 😂😂
Lol
Apologies if I missed something but I’ve got a few questions. One of these has been on my radar for some time. Some people here saying they’ve had a dpf delete on the Porsche, but never mentioned how. Is this defo an engine out job? Also showed air/fuel ratio was increased on the tuned q7 4.2, particularly at lower revs? Am I right and is that the same on the porsche?? I can see how that would help if the dpf is left in. But I probably got the wrong end on the stick!
The downpipes are split into 2 sections on these, the top section (the pain to remove) is the CAT and the DPFs are under the car (pretty easy job). The Q7 and Cayenne 4.2 TDI are the same engine so all the same applies.
Going to attempt to do a turbo on my mates Leon pd150 got any advice ?
its easy, buy a braided oil feed!!
I'm looking at an next car my potential options are a8 4.2tdi or a5 3.0tdi. I'm wanting something fast and torquey both would be remapped which one would you pick? Is the a5 realistically going to be any slower?
The A5 will be faster and sportier, A8 comfortable!
@@DarksideDevelopments that's interesting. I would have thought the v8 tdi was faster
VW have a special table for removing the engine& subframe together, makes like easy
One of the parking sensors is dirty, just wipe them down and it'll stop 'beepin'
Ich habe selber einen und werde ihn auch niemals hergeben. Eine echte Waffe
10am on the button as usual lol
Awesome! Can you remap an R60 Countryman SD?
Yes!
Is the engine aluminium? Other info?
I have a 2018 v8 diesel Cayenne. But little info on engine.
Yes they are. Good lumps
Would love to see one of your exhausts made for this Cayenne or even a rear silencer delete would sound awesome.
I'm getting one in a few months so will be looking for some exhaust mods and mapping
Drop us an email in readiness to get an idea of prices - sales@darksidedevelopments.co.uk
Is there any difference between cayenne and touareg 4.2 in injectors and turbos? Or 43kw difference between stock tunes are purely different tunes?
We'd need the vin for both to check parts to see if there are any differences

Dan the man sneaking into video
what year do you recommend as most reliable cayenne? due to fuel cost a am leaning towards a 6 cylinder engine though :)
Any really, we don't see that many issues at all. The V6's go well with a tune but these V8s are quick!
Get the S with the non turbo v8
Stick this in the R8 lads
Were you able to check fuel consumption ? Does an emission delete and remap make much difference ?
On wifeys Octavia 1.6tdi it made a big improvement, over 10 mpg more.
These don't seem too restrictive but it would improve I'm sure.
What’s the difference between this 4.2tdi and the previous one with 345bhp as standard ?
The Porsches are pushed harder but I believe these do have other slight differences.
Lol "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep"
440bhp and 0-60 in just over 4.5 seconds in a truck should be adequate I'd have thought for most.
Taking the engine out and adding all the other bits sounds seriously expensive. May as well buy a track day car with the money and use the Cayenne to tow it.
Love the way the rear dips when it's launched and Ryan's seat pivots so he ends up staring at the sky 😃😃😃
Loosen the bolts for the video!
Hi I have a 2001 Porsche Boxster S is there A remap for this car Rob from Chatham🤓
Lol
nice... got to love a tuned porker
Would you map a alfa romeo stelvio 2.2d?
Sorry we can't!
You can buy my passat 1.6 tdi n use that engine as a starter for the bigger one you're playing with now,, 😂👍
My car would beep like that for a bit after a wash and a polish. The sensors don't like being touched I guess??
Transfer cases on these go bang ? or they okay ?
We've not had any problems with them!
Did you check the consumption after the remap? I have a Cayenne turbo now, quite thirsty, so i'm thinking of going for a diesel instead.
It will be the same or better
I own this model with standard factory tune and get 29-30mpg on normal running and 33-35mpg on motorway. Quite unbelievable for such a performance vehicle.
I have the same model Cayenne Diesel S. I get 24- 26mpg towing a large carvan loaded with all the family + gear.
@@jono9139 That's a lot less difference than i tought. I get about 1,4l/10km when doing the same. Roughly 19-21 mpgUK with head maths.
@@sjoroverpirat I get maybe 28-31ish with just me in the car on a decent run. I've never got anywhere near the claimed 35-40!
Clock spring on that steering wheel sounding a little noisy
Its been a while since this video was made, has anyone managed to do a full emission delete Cat DPF EGR Add blue removed, without having to take the engine out ?
I dont think you can.
Any ideas for a bit more exhaust noise on these, specifically the 2016 Euro6? There's nothing in the centre section to remove, and the backbox seems to be empty and just there for show. I disconnected the front to mid section joint and it sounded exactly the same, so all hopes of a bit more exhaust rumble we're dashed. Would DPF / cat delete be the only option?
Yes you need to take the engine out I think!
I’ve exactly the same car and model year. Yet there is a guy down my street with a 2015 V8 diesel (pre adblue) and his sounds amazing. I’m so jealous
What about reliability?
The torque converter will not be very happy on the long term.
Also might break some drive shafts or the whole transfer case.
It will be fine if driven correctly, torque converter will be fine!
@@DarksideDevelopments I'm considering going to you to get a remap done on my 2013 4.2D V8 (without AdBlue). What do you mean if driven correctly, please? Is there a point in getting a remap done if you can't drive it properly? Thanks
Is this also a transmission tuning? More info please
No gearbox tuning on this, the AL1000 is pretty good out of the box!
Can we get these inside of the USA?
I don't believe it is available
Easily get this engine to 450 id reckon big turbos ect
Well its glorified Q7 4L so if you do those, which you do then you also do this. :D What is you opinion on gearbox? I believed it´s got ZF 8HP but found out recently it is AISIN TF-80 so mixed feelings since I had 6 speed preceeding version of this gearbox in pre-face 4.2TDI, its not bad but could be a lot better.
The 8 speed is OK. Q7 has 7 seats!
@@DarksideDevelopments Not all of them tho, its extra feature.
Reit then, Cayenne it is. Made 510HP on that 4.2TDI engine in Q7, thats plenty. Was thinking about SQ7 but I cannot find enough info about reliablity of that powertrain. Funny thing is, newer SQ7s are cheaper than these Porsches with more mileage.. at least here. Dunno if that should tell me something or not. :)
The 4.2 is a tried and tested lump in the later models for sure.
What transmission is the S Diesel using? Is it the 80SD or the higher max torque 82SD? I'm worried about the max torque it can handle, any info or feedback from customers please?
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

Bloody nightmare!! Fuck that haha!
is it a VAG engine ?
Yes
you know, as the owner of the A5 diesel, I will say this. But what if you stick this engine into the body of an Audi A5 and make the fastest diesel coupe in the world?
I could be wrong but I think I have already seen this done. Our current focus is getting the 6.0 V12 TDI in our Amarok
I have built 600hp 4.2tdi v8. It will be quite laggy down low compared to stock.
Email some info please, assume 2 x 2260?
Yes, twin Gtb2260vk, large inhectors, pump etc. Swapped into old 955 Cayenne from Q7. Full boost of 2.6bar only after 3000rpm. I tried alot precontrol adjustment but its either too high emp or too slow to spool in low revs. 3000 rpm to 4500rpm is superb ofcourse. But its a long stroke engine so you cant use it much higher then 4.5k so going really big turbos gives only 1.5k rpm of joy. Maybe after serious mods it could work well 5000+ rpm also.
