    Currently am interested in one of these but still not very sure about it since there are some questions that I couldn’t find. First I want to ask is that is the Aisin transmission have a tune for it, a firmer and faster shifting. Second is that is it possible to delete all the emissions stuff and if so what power we are looking at. Third is that with a pair of larger intercooler, full exhaust and also cold air intake what power we are looking, essentially a full bolt on. With all these modifications will it able to make somewhere 460hp. Just want to make sure if it’s worth to buy. Very much appreciated if you can answer these answers, cheers.

    What a shame, I was looking at getting one of these S diesels instead of an X5 4.0d because the X5 was way too Fat to fit on narrow roads or park and the steering has not got much feedback. I tested the F15 and G60, not as nice to drive as the E70. But the E70 is a bit old these days. I checked the old Cayanne reviews, 5 years ago the review mags were raving about the V8 S diesel handling and steering. I was hoping to get one and do a full emission delete and remap. The idea behind deleting all the emission filters (cat, egr, dpf, blue juice) is to make the car reliable long term and gain a bit of turbo response low down with slightly better fuel consumption as well. Sounds like on the Porsche its almost impossible to take apart and get to all the parts that need modifying.

    Apologies if I missed something but I’ve got a few questions. One of these has been on my radar for some time. Some people here saying they’ve had a dpf delete on the Porsche, but never mentioned how. Is this defo an engine out job? Also showed air/fuel ratio was increased on the tuned q7 4.2, particularly at lower revs? Am I right and is that the same on the porsche?? I can see how that would help if the dpf is left in. But I probably got the wrong end on the stick!

    • @DarksideDevelopments
      @DarksideDevelopments  Před rokem

      The downpipes are split into 2 sections on these, the top section (the pain to remove) is the CAT and the DPFs are under the car (pretty easy job). The Q7 and Cayenne 4.2 TDI are the same engine so all the same applies.

I tried alot precontrol adjustment but its either too high emp or too slow to spool in low revs. 3000 rpm to 4500rpm is superb ofcourse. But its a long stroke engine so you cant use it much higher then 4.5k so going really big turbos gives only 1.5k rpm of joy. Maybe after serious mods it could work well 5000+ rpm also.

    Wondering about the costs, If we include:
    before and after dyno runs
    hollowing out the cat and dpf
    delete the egr and add blue
    remap
    Would all of this cost a few hundred or is over a grand more realistic ?

    Drove a rental Ford that beeped over everything brake assist crash assist lane assist pre crash assist going through a slightly tight road assist and it resets every time with ignition, more than the few days and would've driven it up a tree and left it there. Infuriating
